Yahoo Mail bug - Droid Incredible General

Just got my phone today. Apparently there is a bug where you cannot sync Yahoo mail if you are connected via wifi. Once you disconnect wifi it works just fine.

prob withwifi and exchange server sync when docked

Hello,
I have had a problem for quite some tome now with exchange server sync and my qtek 9100.
we have wifi at work and I can sync fine with exchange server, however when my phone is docked and connected to my pc it will sync with the pc but not with the exchange server. It complains about a netork problem when cconnecting and I presume it some clash with the LAN connection created via the pc and the pc wifi. I had accepted this and left it at that until recently I did a sync at home where I have a very similar wifi setup. the fone is connected to the pc and does a sync with both the pc and exchamge server fine. both the fone wifi and pc wifi were on and a LAN connection was also created with the pc and phone aswell, yet the phone was syncing fine.
Can anyone shed some light as to what is wrong with my work/phone setup so that it will also sync with the server when docked. The only differnce in setup is that my work wifi on the phone settings is for `WORK` and the home one is for `THE INTERNET`

After Some digging on the forums I found the following threads which have solved the problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=47031&highlight=exchange+server+sync
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=47874&highlight=exchange+server+sync
This then brings up the question of what does it mean to be connected to "Work Network", "The Internet", and "Automatic" in the Active Server Settings?

WIFI & Pushmail - I searched and found non conclusive an

I've set up mail2web account and configured activesync on my mobile with mail2web settings for push mail.
I've been unable to get any mail "Pushed" to my device that way when I'm connect with WIFI. I have to go to acivesync on mobile and click on "Sync" and only then do the emails get downloaded to the device.
I've been searching through the archive and I actually found people saying you cannot use Wifi with pushmail. But also found replies of some claim they are getting their mail pushed while being connected only with Wifi and not GPRS.
Keep in mind at this time my device doesn't have GPRS so I have no other choice but to use Wifi. More so, it would seem very idiotic to program pushmail to specifically not work through Wifi. After all why not? Wifi is a lot faster, and if you're at the office or an hotspot somewhere it would seem much more logical to get the mail with Wifi than with slow GPRS. but I wouldn't be surprised if MS didn't think about that.
push mail won't work with WIFI
use cellular line and it works straight away
Or use Blackberry or Goodlink or any other push e-mail solution.
You can also move to the Nokia implementation using ActiveSync for push-email on the E61 and that will work with WiFi
I think push email does work on Wifi.
The only thing is that my GPRS connection pops up automaticly. But when I want to send a large email, i need to disconnect GPRS several times in order to send it over Wifi

This irritated me as well, but I've found that if you modify the ActiveSync schedule to sync every 5 minutes instead of "as items arrive" you can connect to Exchange servers over WiFi.
You won't get true push email, but it's still better than nothing
check out the mobile team blog. Push on activesync is hardcoded to use cellular only. nothing you can do will get it to work on wifi.

email issue on MDA Vario

Hi, I hope you guys can help me.
I've had my MDA vario for about a week now, and ever since I got it, I cannot for the life in me get it to connect to my IMAP server using the built-in email client.
I done lots of testing stuff, which basically comes down to this:
networking/wifi is connected and working. I got an IP address from my DHCP server
I can ping the server's IP and receive information back
I can connect to the IMAP server using Qmail
but When I use the exact same connection details in the built in client, it doesn't work saying "unable to connect to the incoming mail server. Verify that your login information is correct, then try again to send and receive mail."
The other strange thing is, If I try connect to the mail server from outside my network, e.g. from my work's internet connection, entering my external IP, it works fine.
I've also checked out the server logs, and it doesn't seem to register a connection AT ALL.
so in short, the problem only occurs when connecting to my mail server from my local network, using the built in client.
Any ideas? is there a log file(s) I can check for any details of why it's not working?
I look forward to your replies.

Email through active sync

I have a Samsung Omnia i900 on o2 uk.
I download weather data etc from internet when the phone is connected to my pc (win xp) using active sync as I haven't managed to get the wireless to work yet.
I have a yahoo and gmail account. I tried downloading my email to outlook (which is already installed on the phone) whilst connected to the internet via active sync but it doesn't recognise it and only wants to connect thru 3g etc.
As i don't have a data plan is there any way I download my email when phone is connected via active sync?
Many thanks
settings->connections->connections->advanced->select network->choose my home network or work network or whatever it's called in the dropdownbox
then it will always use activesync or wifi for network
Worked a charm
Thanks

Activesync - 2 Connections at once - Bluetooth problem

I currently have activesync set up to synchronise mail with m.google.com for my gmail, and calendar with Outlook on my work laptop.
If I connect to the laptop via usb cable, this all works fine. However, the bluetooth sync will not work, UNLESS I remove the email account from my HD2. Then the bluetooth sync with my laptop works perfectly, but I have to reinstate my email account after.
What's the fix for this? On Active sync I have email set as Exchange, Calendar set as PC.....as I say, it works over USB cable but not bluetooth.
Also, whilst on the topic of connectivity, Peep and MSN messenger are unable to connect unless I'm using WiFi. I'm on 1.61, is there a fix for this yet?
Cheers,
DC
Does anyone have a solution for this?
