hi
i use restore not backup from sd card but it not show in my market download
so how can i know if there is new update for program.
Most backup programs do not restore Market links when you restore.
The only program I'm aware of that can do this is Titanium backup.
Regards,
Dave
Alternative: Use the AppBrain application and the AppBrain website
All your installed apps are listed there, and you can reinstall them after a restore

Is it possable?
Download the app called Titanium-backup, backup all apps+data onto your SD card, install the stock ROM, download Titanium-backup again and recover all apps+data from your SD card.
Doesn't titanium backup require root to restore? Anyway I just made a note of ky settings and apps and reinstalled the apps from appbrain

Hey guys,
I'm currently using MIUI and I want to switch to CM6.1, but I'm using Darktremor's App2SD and I'm not sure what to use to backup the apps and data and what to use to restore them.
I tried backing the stuff up with Clockworkmod's recovery but after I flashed CM6, I restored the data and SD Ext. only and the phone couldn't boot up the ROM.
How do I switch ROMs and still keep my apps and their data?
Titanium backup.
Titanium Backup, if all you want are apps and data.
Recovery backs up the whole ROM.
Titanium Backup used to work but after I started using App2Sd Ext it doesn't show any apps in the list.

I use enoms and dark tremor apps2sd with titanium backup and never had this issue. Make sure you don't have a any filters enabled in titanium and try installing newest busybox.
Just got CM7 and none of my apps and accounts transferred. My Titanium backup is showing on my SD Card in the file manager, but how do I move it from my SD Card to my phone so i can use it?

Make sure busybox is installed. Click have problems on the bottom of titanium and it will do it for you. Make sure install from outside sources is checked in the system settings under applications.
In titanium his the menu button to the right of home on the bottom of your phone. Hit batch. Scroll down and select restore apps. Select which ones you want to restore.
Profit.

My titanium only shows on my SD Card. I tried to restore my recovery to take it back to stock and now it won't go past the MYTouch screen..any help? Is it because I need another version of Clockwork?
And now i reflashed CM7 and I get stuck on that load screen. Someone please help!
Sorry guys, I really suck, and I am a complete noob. Obviously I can't run my recovery because of the version of clockwork I have. Fixed my cm7 using a previous thread...I just had to go into recovery and and advanced and wipe my danvlik cache..So now back to the root of the issue. On my cm7 I dont have the market or any of my apps. i have them all saved to my titanium backup, but the app for that is not on my phone, it just shows on my sd card through my file manager. So what do I do to use titanium?

Download the gapps from the cyanogen website and install. You will get the market back. With titanium, when you start hit the problems button then "yes do it" option, it will download the busybox and all you backups will show.
Hi,
So on my old nexus galaxy, I backed up a couple of my apps with Titanium backup (minecraft, keepsafe). I then uploaded the titanium backup folder to dropbox. When I got my nexus 4 I downloaded the copy of the backup folder from dropbox, and then I restored the two apps app and data. The app restores fine, but there is NO data from the apps. For example I go to the Minecraft worlds folder and its empty. Does titanium not backup data on sd cards? The backup zips seem to be large...
THanks,
Michael

Titanium will backup the app and it's data, it will not backup and restore anything saved to an SD card, which is where that type of game data would reside.
Try creating a game and saving it. Once you find it, copy the files from your sd card to the folder where your new save was created.
Preferences > Backup app external data > Enabled (Always). Do that and SD data will be backed up
For those who have rooted their tablet take a look at Online Nandroid Backup and the corresponding Nandroid Manager applications in the Play store. The backup app provides a clockwork recovery type backup that can be saved to internal storage or to your SD card. I have not tried the cloud option.
The manager app allows you to review your backup and to perform a restore.
What I have not tried yet, it to consolidate the backup into a zip file. If this works the we could use the combination of the bakcup app and the Cyanogen recovery to restore previous backups from the recovery mode, and work with any custom ROMs that become available.
Again, this does require root, but that is very easy to obtain.:good:
