Repair option gives error saying it can't download the software for my phone (firmware), so I've to check my net connection OR try later. Been like this for ages (well since y/day).
Any idea? Tried contacting SE but as usual, 3-5 working day reply apparently!
Cheers

I have an XDA II, bought from the UK. I live in E. Africa so sending it back is a hassle. EVer since I bought it, although it was OK for a few days, a msg then came up saying "There is no bluetooth hardware installed on this device". This means I cannot put b/t on or off. Also, it affects the performance of the XDA II as it crashes frequently and loses Activesync connections frequently. The odd thing is that SOMETIMES, after a hard reset, it's OK again. But then when I do a subsequent hard or even soft reset the same problem occurs! So it DOES work. But not consistently. I conttacted O2 by email & tel. They were semi-helpful. I returned the XDA II to the O2 repair centre in London by courier (expensive). It came back, apparently repaired, but they had addressed the wrong thing and the problem still persists! I am loathe to sending it back without trying something for it - if you have any suggestions. Perhaps I can try a Rom Update or something to see if it sorts it. Even O2 are baffled, but I do not have the privilege of sending it off again because of where I live. Any suggestions or advice please? Many thanks.
Demand a replacement unit, if they cant fix it then you are entitled to a new xda2.

I too have the same issue
I too have the same problem, Mine used to be on 02 and my company changed there network to Orange, now my phone was locked to 02, so had to unlock it, since then i'm unable to get to any of the phone settings as in the above post, I'm sure there is a way round this but have been unable to find anything yet.
I also had another issue whereby it would not Sync with our exchange server over GPRS, this has now been resolved since updating the rom to WM6, but the phone settings issue remains.
I've tried a hard reset with no luck.
If anyone knows why this happends and can shed some light as to a solution, i'll come to your house and make you cups of tea fora while week !

I have seen others asking about this same problem, but have not seen any answers. I have an unlocked T Mobile Vario ( wizard ) fone. It works fine on the Orange sim for fonecalls, but will not send or receive texts. When I try to send it tells me "phone is not ready, wait 15 seconds and try again". Two months later Im still getting the same message. I have gone into settings and checked that the correct # for orange is there, as instructed by their customer service, and it is. I am unable to go into settings via the fone symbol in the settings page as I get exactly the same message. Can anyone help please, this is driving me nuts ? thanks, Geoff
Try to upgrade to the Radio Rom 2.19, as it is recommended by Orange Netherlands
Hey,
I'm having a problem with my HD2, I received text messages till an hour ago, but suddenly all connectivity is lost... My gf has the same provider and here phone works fine... So it's not the provider. I also tried to switch her SIM into mine... No luck.
Also did a hard-reset & soft-reset and still no connection...
So I called to the store and they claim to fix it with changing some settings... But he said I had to get there to get it fixed..
But I can't get there in 2 days so perhaps some of you had the same issue (don't know if it's htc related or windows mobile)...
So perhaps anyone of you can tell me how to fix it?
Regards,
Glenn
In the last 2 days I keep receiving empty massages....from strange numbers...it is not from any available patern phone number...some strange numbers...
I wonder if any have experienced this?
And ...is there free any antivirus/antimalware program that is compatible with legend?
One of the empty messages was from the number 34657355494.
What is that?
I have just factory resetted my legend...hmmmm...the messages seem gone...one of the programs I have installed could be the cause...gotta find out which one...
Hmmm...the message are there again...event without any prgram installed...
The memory card is alreday formatted...factory reset is also done...firmware update is done...
What is wrong with my phone?
If you guys have any ideas...please help me...
Thanks in advance
OK...I have done some research ...and ...have found out....
All the SMSs come from 221...
This happends to several phones under O2 net in Germany..
Caused by the home zone thing which keep sending my coordinates to O2 so that the system knows if my phone is still inside the home zone or not..
So...the SMS is somekind of notification...either failure to connect or simply a bug with the O2 net in Germany
Untill now...none has succeeded...terminating this annoying SMSs...
I have asked O2 service center about this and I have done their advice...
still having those annoying SMSs..
If anyone knows how to terminate or block this SMSs...please tell me.....
In have tried to diactivate CB ...let see if that works..
