Hi,
In what respect?
Windows Mobile Smartphone / Windows Mobile PocketPC?
Or just a phone which is of higher functionality than a 'feature' phone?

I gatherd that SmartPhone is with a keyboard so I suppose its a PocketPC?

If you are looking for Windows Mobile software, the HD2 is classed as a PocketPC, but its classed in the phone market as a Smartphone.
It gets a bit confusing!

Touch HD multitouch ?

Hello folks,
I have searched all over the net but found nothing about if the HD will support multitouch with Windows Mobile 7 OS installed. So what do you think, does someone knows anything ?

No as the HD doesn't have a capacitive screen like the HD2

LOL, ok, but..... a capacitance screen (mulit-touch) enables WM7 to do extraordinary things. If we expect this OS to be special, then one has to understand the drawbacks are the lesser of the 2 evils.
the Blackstone has no multitouch hardware. Simple as that.
WM7 is software that supports multitouch if available, that's one of the reasons that the HD2 (Leo) will get an update from WM6.5 to WM7 as one of the only HTC's currently available.

Why would you want to downgrade to WinMo?
just to do it
As far as I know there is no way to dual boot the two.

I believe there's an Ubuntu port that can be dual booted on WinMo.

Erm, so you're going to emulate Windows mobile to emulate ubuntu. Doesn't sound like it will... work decently.
There isn't a way to get Windows Mobile on android; if you wanted windows mobile, you shouldn't of bought a android phone.

there isn't a way? You tried?
I'm pretty sure if someone is committed, they'll find a way

I was replying to someone else. Not sure why you quoted me on that one. I have no intention of ever running WinMo again, it even says so in my sig.
However if someone else wants to emulate WinMo on the hero I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to try. A lot of times people do things 'just to see if they'll work'....so lose the attitude.
yeah there isn't really a reason i want to just to see if there is a way and to see how it runs and such
how about throwing windows 98 up on that ***** and breaking out a nice bluetooth mouse and keyboard
after wp7 comes it will.

From what I know, w7 will stripe data across internal storage and sdcard, so you would need another sdcard for android

Wm marketplace died!

Sorry to tell you guys, but I just got mailed by windows phone saying that the Marketplace for windows mobile devices in going down.
Well I guess it was the time...
what a pity!
So what? Did you get a lot of stuff from there while it was alive?
All WM programs are pretty available in internet. I am not including marketplace in my 6.5.3 roms for more than a year already......

not possible for Windows Mobile 6.5 phones to upgrade. Specs are a bit too old for practical smooth interface.

Real and old news, those pics were from months ago. Cotulla has now given up development on the HD2 though.

He's decided that the HD2's hardware is simply too old and outdated to continue developing on. As for the second question, I honestly don't have any idea since I'm no dev.

Far from perfect, but it would definitely be a lot better and I'd probably still be using mine right now.
