Hi,
I'm on stock rom. I was wondering how can I display the clock as well as the batt together on the taskbar? I set to display the clock on all program but then the batt indicator would disappear. Any advise? Thanks.
Use VistaHide Battery Gauge
Wanting to see the clock all the time, I ran into the same problem given the time paints itself on top of the battery icon. So, I use this nifty little program called Vistahide Battery Gauge recommended in an HD2 tips thread. Cannot post a link so please do an internet search and you will find it.
Hi,
I need to know if there are any programs or settings that would clean all the temp files on your HTC HD2.
As well, can anybody tell me how do I change the Icons from above the screen (wifi, battery, network, etc) and how do I remove COPILOT from the stock rom?
Thank you very much for helping.

In terms of clearing temporary files I use a combination of Clear Temp (which is free) and SKTools (which cost me c.£15). These both do the trick pretty well from my perspective.
In terms of changing the icons in the taskbar do a search on xda as I remember seeing a post (or two) detailing how to do this. (I haven't done it myself yet).
In terms of Copilot I haven't used it at all yet (I've only had my HD2 for a week or so) but I presume you can remove the folder from the relevant Program Files folder. There are also some files on the included storage card, I think.

I use BattClock (which is free). It's a neat little tool that is pretty configurable. I currently display the time, date and battery percentage remaining (which changes colour depending on what the value is (i.e. 80% = green, 40% = yellow, 15% = red)). It displays on all screens, except those that take over the taskbar (such as Opera mobile 10).
Thanks for all the recommendations!
Was wondering if win6.5 is able to display both time and batt together like below?

I am new to this forum and it is brilliant. Thanks for all your help.
I have upgraded the ROM on my phone but I do not have the battery meter on the today screen showing the charge percentage.
Please can you tell me if there is any hack to the registry or free utility that I can use
Hi you dont say the rom you upgraded too. I assume its one of the aku2 roms. The battery should be on the task bar as standard, if its not have you used registry wizard that sometimes hides it?- if you want a better battery meter use batti - places a thin line at top of screen. Find attached
Thanks for that I have Rom 2.21.4.1WWE.
It shows the battery indicator at the top of the screen but before I flashed it I had the battery meter halfway down the today screen showing the percentage charge that the battery had
Oh yes that must of been a today screen plugin , (prob lost when you flashed? o2 plugin i think maybe someone could post it ) there are free ones available showing % see at www.pocketpcfreewares.com. Still prefer batti though, you loose no screen space
Thank you, your help is very much appreciated.
It looks like there are a few good ones to try on this website.
Thanks again

Could someone post this plugin?
Or does anyone know of a 3rd party plugin that is as simple as the original O2 plugin? All I want is the battery meter and I find the one above too small!
i used to use batmemtime on my axim
you can show as much or as little info as you like as like you i only wanted a battery bar.
cheers,
malty

Hello All,
I found the treo battery meter on the Cheetah section (Thanks to Vijay555). The .exe runs, and places the battery icon on the right place, but it does not change with time, it displays the startup level even when charging etc.
Can someone repack it or give me a .cab that i can use fully? Thanks
Don't bother with it. The guys hacked the existing Hermes battery meter to be significantly more useful. Look up the "green" battery meter and you'll find skins etc.

I have the different versions of the green battery meter, but it has several issues on the HERMES:
1. It changes the UMTS/3G icon to "E"
2. I cant have the Green Battery and the Clock on the title bar at the same time.
Plus I prefer having the volume icon covered.
Do you have any ideas as to why its not reflecting/collecting battery info in real time?
The Battery meter dll is part of Palms ROM and I havent been able to copy it out.
Thanks in advance.
ALternatively,
Does anyone know what the battery meter application is in the attached image?

It's not what your show there, but I really like this one:

take a look at batti, its free and pretty cool.
thank you very much for the cab file!

This battery meter application comes with eten devices
We have a Diamond Background Changer which changes wallpaper according to time of the day. Would it be great also if we also have a wallpaper changer that can changes background according to battery life remaining?
Probably we can also 'remove' the battery indicator at the top taskbar (freeing up space for a cleaner look) if such an app is possible.
* Just a suggestion. I do not have any programming knowledge hence i don't know if this is even possible.
Thank you
Would you really install it and use it?
sure its, even quite "easy" to do, just adapt the mortscript from the daylight background changer, to take the batterystatus as input instead of the time...
i remember i saw some commands in the mortscript manual whic make it possible to read out battery status...
but on the other hand, why would you want it? you already have a battery indicator right on top of all things....
having a changing background to indicate status doesnt seem logical to me...
Well Ithink it would be very handy if the background would slowly change from green to red using backgrounds in according colours...
i think it's a great idea.
of course i would use it, haha. I have to admit that i'm an app / rom junkie.
Anyway i was thinking if it would be great to remove the whole top and bottom taskbars for a totally 'windowmobileless' look. BUt to do that we need something to replace the battery/ network/ connection/ sound indicators.
The Quickstart menu shouldn't be a problem as i have high hopes for 'touchlaunch'
I actually think this is not a bad idea at all. If you look at some of the colour battery icons, this kind of makes sense. The moment your phone is activated for whatever reason, you can immediately see that status of the battery, without having to look at the (rather small) icon on the taskbar
Hence.. Hello to developers.. any takers?
Great idea, I would use it too! We could add a corresponding battery symbol on each wallpaper, like in S2U2 but smaller
Cool idea, I think also if the wallpaper could change based on the weather that would be really cool.
Does anyone know how to remove the small 4 segment battery icon from the lower tray in the today screen. I don't really see the point in it existing with the one in the upper taskbar being there already.
I've already checked for running tasks, as well as startup programs for a program which may be creating the icon, but I can't seem to find anything suspicious. I think it must be part of a hidden process which I can't seem to find.
I have searched the SEX1 forums extensively and not founf anything relating to the icon in question. I can try and take screenshots if anyone is unsure about the specific icon I am talking about.
For reference, i'm currently using Norti's excellent "nX1i v1.04" rom.
Thanks in advance for any responses/solutions you may have.
It is there so that if you have the clock displayed at all times in the title bar, there still is a battery indicator (By displaying the clock in titlebar you lose the battery icon). Anyway here's how to remove it: Get yourself a registry editor and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power\ShowIcondword to 0. Then Softreset. The icon will be gone IF it's this one. Of course it is possible that on your ROM there is another software installed which produces the icon, but I don't guess that.

Yay, finally gone!
Thanks for that, it's always the simple things you forget to do, like searching the registry. Now that i've got the panels button mapped to the start menu too, this may well be my favourite device yet. I think I may like it even more than my HTC Diamond...
I noticed that under setting> Home> Display clock in taskbar, that this give you option of having ONLY your digital clock "OR" your battery icon. Not both.
Without installing something like battclock, etc, Is there a way to make both the clock and batter to be present but not overlapping?
Thanks.
Battclock seems to be the only way.

i refuse to use it because the background is not able to go transparent. its always some solid color. And plus, it uses more RAM.
rebump 10char
Does anyone know if SPB PocketPlus battery bar works on HD2? I used to use this on my TytnII, but I haven't tried it yet on my HD2.
personally im using the "Display clock in taskbar" option along with VistaHide Battery Gauge, so i got a nice little bar on the top of the screen showing the battery and the clock in the taskbar.
(it looks something like this)

lol. i only see the battery in the task bar. the clock isnt' the clock is on manila.
the vistahide battery meter suggestion is meaningful (as you can see in the screenshot) because the battery can now be represented by the 1-2 pixel line across the top of the screen, leaving the default battery meter free to be changed to the time/clock.
however, i understand your requirement because i am also searching for this solution. i remember back in the days of WM6.0 and WM6.1, the "display the clock on the title bar in all programs" worked a bit better. it would show battery when on the home screen (because your home screen might display a better and bigger clock) and it would show the clock when an application/program was in the foreground. i really miss that behavior in WM6.5, though WM6.5.x handles this situation a bit better if i remember correctly.
the link on my previous post, is just the vistahide battery gauge ofc.
i have attached the screen of my phone this time to check the whole thing.
the bar shows that i have more or less 50% battery left
i dont like the rainbow looks. is it possible to make the meter one solid color? anyone?
any solution to this guys?
