I didn't know about the Verison OS being 2.0 until I saw this thread, not that I really care but I did learn something out of the original post, and how quicky people will flame over something so petty. The big fail is if you can't post any useful information but just talk s#!† don't post anything at all.

how is that a fail? its a pretty big fail if u didnt know droid ran android 2.0..its old news ,. and plus the droid is the android phone thats getting a lot of hype.
the processor was clocked at 550mhz instead of the supposed 600mhz. now thats new information

There seems to be a significant amount of animosity of late in the Android related forums. I'm not certain as to why this is, nor do I want to hear any reason for justification; what I do know is that it is unacceptable.
XDA is about bringing together folks who have similar passions about mobile technology. As the forum is accessed worldwide, you will encounter all types of folks from different walks of life; some of these folks will be extremely technical, others not. Show maturity and professionalism by responding with helpful and constructive information. There is absolutely no reason to respond in a rude tone or to make someone feel stupid ... it is not constructive and serves no purpose.

ok this is where it gets weird. if they have figured it out where is the proof. htc evo was rooted and has a video to prove it. if they really have root and have had it i would assume they would atleast show the superuser apk in a video for proof of concept. cmon guys they want you to donate based off of word of mouth that they have it rooted. the people who rooted the evo didnt say one word about how they did it but they showed that it was done. im willing to donate to video proof of rooting but not some kid trying to make money or getting a new phone for making up nonsense. if u are not worried about the money then y wouldnt you try to help others? sounds like a ****ing jackass if you ask me

If you can PROVE that you have a rooted Inc, people might actually want to donate so you release it faster. Until you show some sort of evidence that you or your friend have Rooted a Inc, everyone is going to think you lying, common knowledge its how us humans work...

lol he doesnt have proof or root. this guy said he oc'ed a snapdragon to 1.5ghz. a 150% overclock on a snapdagon and hes working on a 200% overclock hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. the snapdragon processor has reported a 1.267 overclock on the nexus and that was deemed unstable. so i guess we should thank htc for using liquid cooling inside of our incredibles.

Not that I believe this crock of $H!t but isn't 1.5ghz a 50% overclock not 150% and 2.0ghz a 100% overclock not 200%?

yah the thread should be closed. and no i am right. 150% of 1ghz = 1.5ghz. a 50% overclock would actually be an underclock. 50% of 1ghz = 500mhz. trying to prove me wrong just gets more offtopic.

I was thinking a 50% increase which is 1.5ghz which is the same as 150% of 1ghz. You are right, that just gets us more off topic. Yet another reason to close this dumb thread

- New base full wipe update
- Fasted release yet – I AM SERIOUS (getting towards the end of development until A newer leak I am afraid)
- Rougly 75% optimized
- Fixed some syntax errors in vital scripts
- Cleaned up each boot
- Fixed Permissions issues
- Cleaned up build

Isn't that the point of "OPEN SOURCE" I mean lets be honest here. No dev and I mean NO as in NONE OF THEM build an android Rom from scratch. They take from the release and build it to what they want right?? So.... what did King really do? He didn't give credit?? Funny I look through these thread and no one gives credit to Android or HTC or anyone like that. Ban them all I guess!!

Aria has been more difficult than originally thought but i sure someone will have one out soon dont give up hope

He is actually giving credit to other devs for it on his site, its a decent list so it prolly is just all of their work with one thing changed by him again.
It is not the fact he did not give credit that bugs me it is the fact that he would take someones rom change one thing then call it his own, if he really knew how to dev there would be more work on his end.

You mean like Defcons CM6 Test builds? I'm pretty sure he didnt even change anything just a straight rip from cyans github and nobody got on his ass about it. Cyanogen even helped him out a little stop hating on King just cuz it was the thing to do like 2 weeks ago every dev is using the work of others and calling it their own with a few little changes else every Rom should have the words HTC or Google in the title. Cyan changes quite a bit but in reality its just a drop in the bucket compared to the original work put into the source we're all handed and encouraged to freely modify and distribute any way we desire with or without credit given

Then why don't you get everyones work and make a rom out of it? I honestly don't think that it's easy to dev, spending hours on tedious work. He still put it together and got it running which is more than I can do alone. Is a giant Android Jesus going to come down and smite him of his deving powers? No. He puts time into it, that's all I need to know. I see roms like someone mentioned before of roms from Cyo's github and his other mods. People got crazy a while back when someone made a rom from Cyo's github for a rom that Cyo hadn't even released and he had to lock the thread...why? Because people get butthurt and think that it's "stealing" or whatever they want to call it. Every dev is different, they have their own preferences and all have different setups. Some create things for other developers to use. >:O

As I was saying king was using other people's work then, would call it his own, and he never gave credit to the work and mods done by others, had he done that he would still be here and maybe wold have finished a rom (completely).
People please stop saying we should just forget the meaning of open source... open source does not mean and is not an excuse for copying others work. Also if your defending him.. put some thought into it.

[WIP] ICS Overclocked to 2Ghz

I am not a dev but am starting this thread to learn how to dev. What I need is someone to mash together the ICS SDK with a 2Ghz overclocked kernel and test it. If it doesn't boot I will tell you the next version will boot and you make another version and test it. When you do get it working post your work here under my name. I have no intention on testing this myself because their are plenty of gulible n00bs who will chance bricking their devices. Don't blame me as you made the choice to do this.

I still haven't recieved any reports from anyone on building this rom nor have I recieved and reports on whether it boots yet. I know it can be done if you idiots would leave me alone and let someone do the work for me.

Why should a developer ask you to test a rom?
What do you offer that no one else does?
Do you know how to get a stack trace from a logcat?
How good are you at making a bug report? Do you just say "x doesn't work", or do you actively think "x isn't working, I'll take a look in the logs and paste the relevant parts. I'll search around a bit and see if a similar issue has happened on another device"?
Basically, A developer has access to hundreds of people that can say there's an issue. If you're going to post your own thread saying "I'm a tester", then you need to show that you know what you're doing.

edit2: I realise it's actually against xda rules to sell things on xda. So I will instead offer a guide on how to build this fantastic (relatively speaking) device.
Firstly, go fetch any hat you want.
Secondly, throw up in it.
Thirdly, replace your old, terrible sgy with your fresh new device.

Dude at least think about your title(RD) before speaking those words. Here are many RD who have contributed for our little device like @psyke and other members like @bieltv.3 @whitexp etc a lot.And i believe they all have done a nice job and proved that they deserve those title given by XDA.
So RD doesnot necessarily mean those who develop for HIGH END DEVICES.:laugh::angel:
