Unfortunately, this is not possible.

Will this cable work?
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=730

probably not as this is for a different phone.
if the chipset for tv isnt built in there is nothing you can do.
nbokia lg etc build it in even in their cheaper phones but htc only seems to have tried tv out with a small selection of phones and discontinued it in the n1.

Our msm7200A/7201A support TV-Out, maybe HTC (that build our kovsky aka xperia x1) didn't want to give SE an advantage against his phone and did not connected 35mm to video out
We will need soldering? I love soldering
Ow what are you doin' so it can work, Big Bang Holic?
How could you do that??? Tell us please....hehehe...
any news?
i start to think, that tv-out still impassible on xperia x1

Yeah, the OP hasn't been here for over 2 weeks now.
And what exactly would be the purpose of TV out? The Movies that can be played smoothly on an Xperia X1 are of far to low quality to watch them on a tv screen. And for everything else I don't see the point.

Download a app called Twonky, it's free. start the Twonky app, while your connected to Wifi, once it's on fire up the ole PS3. you can stream stuff from your phone to your TV via the PS3. I do it frequently.
here is a cable for the g2x that does micro usb to hdmi...dont know if it will work since i havent seen anything that could enable/disable the feature on our phones

Lol wtf. The G2x uses a separate microHDMI port, not its microUSB port. This cord would likely be what will be used for the Sensation when it is released. I am not 100% sure, but I believe video out via this method (called MHL) requires slightly different internals than the standard microUSB port, thus would not work on phones lacking these internal differences.
I really want a phone with a Hdmi out port but it seems not to many Htc phones have this I been considering trading my phone for a G2X but I really love this phone but I would love to be able to watch movies from my phone on a TV. Being I travel from N.Y to Pa. a lot and I don't own a Ps3. I just don't think the G2x is better and they don't have to many Roms over there.
lol look at the dates.

My Stupid, Useless, N00b Idea! AV Cable.

As some of you may well know.. The Iphone 4 very well adapts to connecting to a TV set using its 30-pin connector one side and AV plugs at the other cable. I was just thinking....
If HDMI is not supported... Would we have an easier way into actually importing some kind of software or some mod into the kernal itself?
Do we even have AV- Mini-USB cable available to our disposal?

Before anything like that could be used, You would need to get the play into USB host mode
Is that something that I.C.S could present us?

No, you'll need SE to include it in their kernel/kernel source for our play or you'll need some devoted devs to port it from the Arc.

[Q] output

being a total newbie to tablets i am looking to finally delve in with a nexus 10, it looks a amazing machine, and everything i am looking for, well except for one item.
i regularly use my laptop to give presentations, and need to connect to a projector via vga.
Colleagues use the iPad, and it is seamless, but personally i prefer the android route.
From all my research i have come to the conclusion that this is not feasible on the nexus 10?
cant beleive such a high ens spec machine cannot support it.
Please any one shed some light.
Thanks
kScot
VGA is low spec...
Get a HDMI to vga adapter.
Via my HTC Rezound
Adapters are cheap stuff. You will need two, though: micro-HDMI to HDMI, and from there, HDMI to VGA.
Thanks,
I assume then it just mirrors the screen?

It should, yes.
well, technically, it doesn't "just" mirror the screen, it should also output sound. still, i wonder, why you put "just mirror the screen" in your post, what more do you expect from a video out? cookies?

Kapow. Who knew these existed.
Whether the Nexus puts out enough juice over HDMI to power it though, who can say without trying it.

I feel for you man! At work we have to put up with the worst equipment paid for with ginormous amounts of money.
At my work, the technical coordinator bought a Smartboard, which is a giant touchscreen with a few software extras. It is about a 70" inch screen and has been introduced as the more expensive top model. Naturally, I brought some equipment to take it through a test drive - an hdmi adapter for my Galaxy S3 and some 1080p trailers.
Then came realisation - not only do they connect it via VGA to the presentation pc, it only supports 1366 * 768 max resolution (the S3 would happily output 1080p if supported). Piece Of Crap Deluxe. At least they extended a HDMI cable to where the PC stands, but it doesn't have a suitable graphics adapter. Will still look crappy anway when they eventually upgrade that one. :crying:

[Q] Can We use the jack output to video out?

Hy guys!
I just found a jack to compozit cable in my cabinet. It has a Jack father and an RCA (red-white-yellow) father. I have got a pic, but Im new in here, so I cant link...
So, I just wondering, can we use this cable to connect the N7 to a TV?
I know, at the moment we can't, but why? Because the hardware limitation, or the android doesn't support this feature?

As far as I know, you'd just be transporting the audio if you were to plug it into any device. You'd have to have an extra adapter to port the video through the yellow composite video cable.
Though people have been known to make some wicked little mods, so you never know these days.
Nexus 7 does not have the hardware capability.

You could always use an MHL adapter to output to a TV, that is if the Nexus 7 supports that method. I've never tried it.

Ah, well that's disappointing. I never looked into it before, but now I know. =P
Thats awkward. So If we want to connent the tablet to a television, we must use some wifi app, and the TV must be a smart one...
Or can We take advantage of pogo-jack? I never seen before this kind of plug, so I dont know, what it can do.
