Blank Space on Title Bar - HD2 General

Ive just updated to the newest firmware and its left me with a blank space on the title bar. Is this meant to be here?
It goes:
Windows Logo Start *Wifi Logo* *Signal* *Blank* *Battery*.
Now im sure this wasnt there before. Does anyone have any ideas?

Blank
Mine has speaker symbol, where your's is blank, it shows if on, or silent. Then after that I have taskmanager symbol. Hope that helps some? Quig

Ahh yes, the speaker symbol.
Yeah, so mine isnt there anymore neither when i switch it to vibrate etc it still doesnt appear. How can I get this back?

Radio Stack woes...

Hi guys...
I'm on T-Mobile UK, and I'm having problems with GPRS. I did have this working on ppc 2002 (XDA Dev 1.2)... After upgrading to ppc2003 I just can't seem to get GPRS working (Get a "Cannot connect" error).
Can anyone recommend a good/working radio stack for T-Mobile UK, and possibly provide some linkage... Thanks
Confirming you also upgraded the radio stack? If so what was the radio stack version before you upgraded it?
Hey Qman... It was version 4.01, and after upgrading to 4.21 from O2 it killed off GPRS. I _think_ the reason maybe because 4.21 uses class 8 GPRS, which T-Mobile may not support.

Ok try changing your band from the boot loader and see if that helps.
Warning: Going into boot loader mode under WM 2003 will result in a hard
reset so backup your system first.

I read you post, now can you explain how you broke it?
I ask this question because there is always hope of repair!
hehe... Well I was doing a radio upgrade, and the phone restarted (as normal.. you know where you get the white screen and the percentage bar)... But I left the SD card in, and it came up with "Do you want to format...", but this seemed to crash it, and the device locked totally... I soft-reset... and then it just came up with the O2 bubbles, but rather than saying R <version number> at the bottom in red.. it just showed an R..
After about 4 minutes of hanging at the o2 bubbles, the device looks like it tries to carry on with the radio upgrade, the screen goes white, and a blue bar appears at the top of the screen. You can also see the little keyboard icon in the bottom right corner. But thats all.. Theres no writting, or detail anywhere on the screen. If I keep pressing the volume button, the today screen will appear, although where the start menu is, its obstructed by a blue bar.
Any ideas? lol
Yep - buggered, isn't it
Only had it for about a week lol
Oh well, time to buy another one

I have been having the exact situations like yours. Keep pressing on and off the volume button following the G and R (empty protocol & Radio staock versions), until you see the empty white screen with empty blue bar. It's not easy, but it's possible to get back the blue bar with all working menus. (my experiences count: 2 out of 20 unsucessful tries; yes, I have spent 5 agonizing days).

If this works... I'll buy you a beer 8) hehe
Okay, I can get the volume control and today to appear on the screen, by pressing the volume/record button on the device, and tapping where the speaker icon should be... Although the blue bar is still going across the top of the screen, going over the top of where the Start menu should be... How do I do it, so it drops down the start menu?
Thanks
YESSSS I FIXED IT
After I got to the today screen, I used the repair.zip method, and it worked!!! I'm a v.happy man
good for you..
but i have not been so lucky... I don't know why..
it could be that I accidentallyselected the GSM1900 band after I upgraded to TMobile WM2003 4.01.00. Then the phone stopped working then the unsuccessful RSUpgrade etc. etc.
Damn these XDAs!!!

When I hit the phone button.. try to get to dial a number.. etc.. all I get is a white screen.. with a little block of what should be showing up.. that's it.. if I click all around the screen I hear the buttons beepin.. and a few of them will start to show through but that's it. The phone was just working fine.. I tried takint he battery out.. sim card etc etc.. I tried booting it up with the storage card out.. I uninstalled programs that I recently put on.. I did a virus scan.. nothing.

It is weird tho cuz the screen works everywhere else.. but if I press the little green phone button or try to go into the phone by any means.. the screen just comes up white..
Oh and the screen is white only between the upper and lower task bars.. The bottom taskbar shows up fine.. with the contacts and menu buttons.. and the upper is fine too.. I see the signal strength bar and all that stuff.. but in the middle it's just white..

white screen of death....

ok heres what iv done about a month ago i was at my friends house
and decided to conect to the wireless network shortly after loading the home page the wireless disconected. i was unable to turn wireless on after that and since then my systems just litteraly shut-down 1 by one i lost abilitie to send sms. then i lost abilitie to even answer phonecalls id click answer and it would disconect straight away. and then this morning i turned it on and it just goes to instant white screen i cant even load bootloader it only shows a whitescreen no matter what i do. i cant think of anything else to try iv had a look on the forums and everyone just says to load the bootloader by pressing camera button and power button but it still goes to whitescreen the led at the top of the phone flashes red then about 2 seconds later goes to whitescreen my computer doesnt even pick it up now either is the phone just "dead" or can it be recovered?
alright heres an update to my atom so far iv managed to get rid of the whitescreen but cant for the life of me get past this new screen its just rainbow lines it looks as though all the lines on the screen going top to bottom have been coloured a diferent color
anyone know how to fix it? iv tried camera plus reset button and same thing

[Help] Start menu Tool bar appears earlier than it should

so i have been using my X1 for about 1 week now
i restarted the phone for a couple of occasion
and i used to see the Windows Mobile 6.1 loading screen just before we enter the today screen right..
usually during the Loading Screen of the WM 6.1, there shouldn't be a Start menu bar appearing right..
it should only appears when the WM 6.1 loading screen are finished and when we are on the today's screen, that is when the start menu bar appears
but idk, earlier today, i had to close my phone because the battery was low, and when i get back home, i start charging it, and then i turn my phone again.. and what i notice is that, the "start" menu now appears along with the loading screen of WM 6.1
is that normal.. or?
maybe this info will help, but i doubt it's the cause
i started using SKTools ( www.s-k-tools.com ) like around 3 days ago
and i do the Clean! and registry clean up.. never restarted my phone ever since 3 days ago.. but i dont think that is the cause for this?
i only want to think that perhaps, now my system are a bit lighter after i remove some useless junk using the SKTools, so the start menu bar loads faster.. hopefully that is the case?
but i doubt.. any help?
That is a problem? Please explain how?
yes, because if i remember correctly, the start menu never appears before on WM6.1 loading screen
im sure all of your X1 also have a full WM6.1 loading screen without a start menu bar on the top?
It is perfectly normal.
I really don't see the point in your question. Is your phone having an issue, a problem?
no.. nothing is wrong. but why was it not loaded in the WM screen before?
there must have been something to make the start menu appear faster, and i see this as not normal
that's all i wanted to know
thanks anyway for answering

Phone screen is black, but phone still "works".. Cannot get screen to come back on!

Phone screen is black, but phone still "works".. Cannot get screen to come back on!
I have no idea what happened, 5 minutes after being in my pocket I pulled it out and the screen was un-responsive.
The notification light is still on, power light, etc. The power button works, I can push and hold and reboot and the two bottom buttons on the phone light up. I was able to "swipe" my password and it vibrated and accepted it, I am getting vibrate notifications too. I just have a black screen and I can't figure out what to do!
I am rooted, but I haven't had any changes to the phone in a few weeks since I had rooted. I tried using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395 but I cannot figure out how to get the device to show up in the program to use.
I am at a loss on what to do...
No Samsung logo if you remove the battery for 30 seconds, replace it and power on normally?

Nope, no nothing. No logos, no screen flicker, no colors of any sort - just black. The LED goes blue as it boots up, etc, so I know it does power up.. and once it is done I can even swipe my password and it gives the feedback vibrate..
Just in case this was an issue with the root and whatnot I flashed the stock with Odin and I still am getting black screened.
I contacted VZW support last night, and the chat rep told me they would have to just replace the phone. I am guessing this may be a hardware issue.
Yea if there is no logo whatsoever when you first turn it on, it sounds like a hardware issue, not a ROM issue
I forget exactly which logo shows first (S5 I think) that isn't part of the ROM afaik, the Samsung animated logo is the ROM, so if you don't even get the one before the Samsung animation, doesn't sound good
Is it the G900F? If yes, the only thing I can think that might possibly work, is this

Don't use unless it's the G900F

I don't believe it's G9000F... and I am fairly certain now that it isn't a software issue since everything else 'loads', just not my damn screen.. lol.
Thanks for your help though
The reason I posted that link, is, if the bootloader has corrupted, it is possible you won't get any logo at all, and that debrick image basically tricks the phone into using the MicroSD card to boot into download mode from, where you can recover the main storage
It should tell you under the battery which model S5 it is
If the screen doesn't even light up, then it sounds more like hardware
See if this gives you access

It is connector issue.
Either connector is slight loose or if not then need to Change the connector.
My one has same problem.
Solved for less than 10$.
