Not sure but i think the Audio_resources.zip is what you might be looking for.
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/downloads/rom
You can't flash it like an update but you can use adb to push it to your /system/media/audio directory.
Alternatively you can copy the files to the rom yourself and sign the zip file. Then all you need to do is make a backup and flash away.

This may sound like a very dumb question but i am just now getting into the different things i can do with my phone. One of which is i have rooted it and installed clock work manager. I have seen A LOT of people talking about odin and using it to install froyo 2.2 on their phone. I was just wondering how you actually go about getting odin on your phone, or is it something installed on your computer to transfer files to your phone? my main objective of all of this is just to have froyo 2.2 finally installed on my phoneso if anyone could please give me the run down on this and the info i need to install 2.2 on my phone, or a web page that shows you how to install it once i have odin, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
Odin is a program used to flash .tar files (modem, kernel, system) onto your phone while in download mode.
A little poking around here (I would link you but I'm at work) and you will find the Samsung Drivers, The Odin program itself, and recently someone posted Odin files for 2.2
If you have the .zip of 2.2 (or Superclean 2.4) all you will have to do is flash the eb01 modem in Odin, then install the .zip file through CWM.
Follow ALL instructions in the threads you find to the T or it will be a pain in the ass to get your phone back.
Remember: When using Odin NEVER USE THE PHONE BUTTON. We use the PDA button for the Fascinate.
PDA = Good
Phone = brick (that's bad)

If u get the eb01 sc Odin package...it comes with rom obviously so u don't flash anything in cwm. However... future roms you want will b flashed in cwm. All u do is boot into recovery, instal zip from sd cars, choose the zip from sd card....select it...and hit ok

You are indeed way off... you are playing with fire with this stuff with the things you are trying without doing your homework. People here could give you links to everything you need, but all you have to do is search a little. Dont take it the wrong way, but when you brick your phone youll wish you didnt rush

No i completely understand what you are saying that is why i am doing my best to take anyones advice who might know more about this than i do (which is probably everyone). is there anything out there than can just give me a step by step as to what to do in the safest manner to accomplish putting 2.2 on my phone? because so far the closest i have came is receiving a E:failed to verify whole-life signature along with a E:signature verification failed message trying to install the update through clock work manager thanks for your help and advice

Ok, easy way to get froyo... go in the fascinate develpment section of xda or droid forums and look for ODIN eb01 package. It will load you up froyo, new clockwork, and root your phone all in one shot. The directions are super easy, just follow them exactly. I did mine this way, you dont have to mess with clockwork at all, ten minutes total. Let us know how you make out.

Ok...I have to say that I got just 1% of what u said. But I guess that u are stuck with just custom recovery...if you were running a custom rom and u did a full wipe then u donĀ“t have rom anymore. Get a rom to your sdcard and reflash...or just restore a nandroid backup.
In recovery mode, you can not do anything hung up and you can not select anything
I don't know, maybe if he tries flashing the latest 4ext? However, not sure how to get that done.
Before doing that, pull the battery, wait 5 minutes and see if it works.

It is really hard to follow you. Many people in here are non native english talkers, but if knowledge of grammar is missing, try it a different way:
Break the things into small pieces and explain in simple words. Nobody will blame anyone for that.
1) Did you root and s-off /eng-off your phone?
2) Did you install a custom recovery system?
3) If yes, which one?
Then:
1) Which ROM did you install?
2) Did you read the flash procedures from that ROM first?
3) Did you follow that instructions in matters of
3a) - Needed Recovery Manager Version
3b) - Needed to run before wipe scripts
Then:
Did you download the right scripts and
1) checke their SHA/MD5 checksum?
2) Flashed them onto the sd-card
3) called them in the proposed followup from the ROMs description in your recovery?
So, if you can answer the list above in simple words people might be able to help you. If not me, somebody else will for sure.
Best regards
Astralix

Try a different sdcard....that might be the issue. If the problem persists then may be a hardware problem. Try to get back to stock and send the phone to a service centre.
does anyone have stock "power.msm8960.so" file in "/system/lib/hw" ??? (like any backup of it?)
could you send it to me so that I can replace my edited version?
(somehow custom rom altered the file and I lost the original one....)
I have the same problem. Did anyone send you the original file? Thanks.
here it is.
i have the same issue.
i have extracted it from the stock image.
i now replaced the file and the 4.2.2 update via ADB is now happy.

Thank you very much, qwerp!
EDIT: Can you tell me what tool you used to extract it? I may need to do this for some other files in the future, so it would be nice to know.

I downloaded the X note ROM and was going to flash but had a few questions first. I wanted to post this question on the official Xnote thread but as I'm a new user, I couldnt do that.
I realize the questions Im asking may have been answered already but Im not very familiar with the whole terminology and would really appreciate some help. First of all, my phone's baseband version says XXUENB1 and build number says XXUENB4. I flashed the official Singapore firmware from sammobile.com. I saw on the thread that the xnote rom is actually listed as NB7. So will there be any issues on my phone if I were to flash this?
Another question I have is about the file which I downloaded. It says I should check for a tar.md5 file but all I see is an ordinary zip file. I dont think I should unzip it. Furthermore, the instructions say I should install the zip on CWM. This got me a little confused as well. So I should just put that zip file on the internal storage and install that? Without changing it by unzipping or anything?
The main reason I want to try and flash a rom is because my phone's 3G doesnt work. Im not sure why but every setting is ok, it just connects using an Edge connection.
I would really be grateful for any advice guys. Thanks for your time!

No problem with NB7
Check .MD5 to ensure you downloaded the correct file. No need to unzip. Just place it in the phone and flash through recovery
Make sure you understand the rest.

I pretty much have an understanding of the whole process. I've used cwm before on my old S2. But I dont get the .MD5 part. The file which I downloaded is clearly a zip file ending with the extension .zip.

I'll be honest I have actually no idea what this does lol. What is its purpose???
You should be able to use it to extract the contents of firmware packages and pull the recovery.img directly from it.

This thing is impressive! Okay so I did it... but couldnt find the recovery
I'll check it out and reply back.
I had the same problem - I was on 1.16.xxxx
I followed these directions and I must tell you - it works perfectly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/general/guide-how-to-flash-stock-rom-via-twrp-t3409768
Although, since I was so far back, I needed to flash all the 1.17.xx versions first, but it worked just fine.
Since none of these OTA roms included the recovery images (that I could find - they must somehow hide it from us) - there were no other way I could find to get the original factory recovery back, but it works great.
Now I need to find a way to re-root and re-TWRP - still working on that.
Good luck!
