Whenever I receive a new text, it shows the time an hour behind the actual time. It's only for received texts however, not for sent. This has been going on before the clocks were set back an hour so I don't think it has anything to do with that. Anyone know what could be causing it?

Think yourself lucky - when I receive texts from Louisianna they are usually 20 years behind the times
Hi I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.
When I restart my phone my hotmail email will sync perfectly fine and will do so for some time. At some point usually later that day it will stop synching but will not notify me of this, the only way to tell is to do a manual sync and then an error message appears saying syncing failed. Now There has been nothing I have been able to do at this point to make the account sync I have even left it 3-4 days and everytime it will fail. If however I restart the phone it will work perfectly first time.
I have seen this problem on at least 2 roms although 2 versions of the same one. Is this likely to be the rom? or the hotmail server/program?
As the title says, sometimes all of no where my sms that i recieve would be 2 mins behind the time on my time on the phone
idk but today it went back a whole day so every messege would be dated 4/10 when today's date was 4/11 and it drove my crzy and i can't fix it unless i bring my clock date to 4/10 so idk what to do i deleted all my sms to c if that helps but no luck
please help
thanks in advance
jim
I have the exact same problem, my recieved sms times is set back by one hour.

Go into settings then to data services and to internet time synch and put check mark in the "get time from internet" That fixed it for me

Ok, I've read some posts saying that Push uses less battery power than polling every x minutes. I've read others saying the opposite...
Anyone know which is correct?
Thanks
If u get a lot of mail every hour, push is gonna eat your battery for breakfast. If u sync every hour or two in this case is best ( based on ur needs of course )
If u get the occasional mail a day, push is better than sync every x minutes
Anything inbetween is in the gray area and as I said it's based on your needs.
In other words If u have to read all ur e-mail ASA-they arrive you need to walk arround with a car battery on ur back ( from a truck if possible )
I usually get between 10 to 20 emails a day.
I have mine setup so that:
Peak times [08:00 - 18:00]
sync every 30mins (1x gmail, 2x hotmail, 1x exchange mail)
Off-peak times
gmail - sync every 4 hours
hotmail - sync every hour
exchange mail - once per day
This does me just fine as I'm never really more than 30mins from answering any issues via email - if it is a really urgent problem I request they call my mobile.
It's not a problem that I don't want to wait for my emails, I'm happy to poll every x minutes. I just want to know what's best for battery usage.
I have found that push does drain my battery.

i find its better to just push your important email account then leave all the others on a long sync time like 4+ hours
i would push my uni exchange email, then all my gmail accounts and the one from my isp were set on a very long sync time this worked great for me as i got all my important stuff as they came in and battery life was still great
