WM6.1 Professional(build 20275) 12MB Pagepool for Polaris WWE

Friends,
WM6.1 ROM (build 20275) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I had been making many Himalaya ROMs (see my signature). Though I had been making many Polaris ROMs also for my personal use, but this is my first public release. I am sure you all shall like it.
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- Remove SD card before update!
- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
Installation:
Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.

Sorry bro! it is WWE only at present. You can change the mui files and make it FRA.

I can change the language rom just with mui files? that method only works for apps not for the OS ?

I've flashed this ROM and I'm totally unable to type standard characters in "Notes" and in the Messaging Account Setup Wizard.
Sorry, but I will have to use another ROM. By the way, it comes with some tools that I find unnecessary.

Standard characters are coming fine in "Notes" on my polaris. see the thumbnail..

I will give this a shot. Just need to find that app list with most updated task manager and htc home!

ok 1 bug found is when your trying to change ringtones and notifications under settings>sounds and notifications, it wont allow any changes to any alert, infact if you try to ok out of the screen it even changes the ringtone from what was previously set by the install to the ring-WindowsMobile....???? and it will not allow you to exit that screen

i have uploaded your rom. so far there is a problem with writing sms text. numbers are working , but letters not. there is no phone keypad whilst in landscape mode, so i cant dial numbers at all. do you think you can fix it, and sent me link to fixed rom?

I think that this issue can be solved by this trick:
The main problem of sound files is DRM protection.
This is the part that we have to add somewhere into
registry (i prefer boot.rgu)

Shekhar, I don't know why it happens: each time I try to enter a character, sounds a beep (the one that sounds when you do something not allowed). I can enter spaces, carriage returns, accentuated chars, and symbols, but anyone from the latin alphabet.
This happens whatever the SIP is choosen.
I have never had a problem like this. Could it be because I flashed from the SD card? it's my first time.

I installed this ROM and, as well as others, this one comes with power management DISABLED. To enable it, use regedit. Under the search tool, look for the text "powerm", without the quotes, and if they are set to 1, set them to 0.
Enjoy.

Weather on HTC home
I'm having problems to acquire weather data on the tab weather of HTC home.
It just is not able to connect to the server. It's not a matter of connection because I can access internet through my craddle. Does somebody have any clue?

Sundream's vs PV DVH Rom
I gave this PV rom a try.... verdict..... on my blueangel, this is by far the most stable. Have tried Swampy's,Explode's, and Sundreams' roms but this latest PV rom has the following:
1.) Has the fastest boot time when TF2D is installed.
2.) Includes Wktask and settings + which provides valuable customizations and functions without eating too much resources.
3.) Stability
4.) Has nice black taskbar and icons.
For those who want to adapt the customization of sundream's rom:
1.) download JUVS large title bar
2.) for large fonts on menu, edit registry (check sundreams rom thread for the registry settings) and use the registry editor included in the rom.
I don't use stylus anymore, i use the following for touch mode:
1.) Touch Flo2d
2.) Thumbcal for Calendar
3.) PocketCM for Contacts
4.) PD Diamond Dialer (Opal phone canvas doesnt work well on BA)
5.) EZ HTC Opal keyboard for SIP (full QWERTY,compact QWERTY, Keypad)
6.) Resco Explorer (touch mode file explorer)
7.) Opal enlarge start menu
8.) HTC Icon start menu hack
I hope PV DVH releases a 1.4.1 build rom like the latest of sundream or a higher build like the latest beta of explode and make it available in xda-dev coz i cant read chinese or vietnamese language =)

I only build ROM's for the HD2, and fully test all ROM's posted here on my T-Mo US HD2 1024LEO.
I want to give thanks to RSTOYGUY for all his help and the kitchen!
And of course the guys that built the kitchen basics so we can use it! You all know who you are (most of you are here on XDA!).
Remember with any ROM to be installed onto a HD2 you must first HSPL3 your phone read about it here:
HSPL3 new version by cotulla This will HSPL your phone for all versions up to ROM V 2.13 & SPL to 2.10
This ROM does not update the Radio, if you wish to update see about it here: LEO 1024 Radio page
Lots of radios available now; get them if you want to test them out! Just remember if you are 1024 do NOT use the .51 radio's!
I suggest using the latest 2.12.50.02; just do a little searching and it's out there and works GREAT!
Also PLEASE do a task 29 prior to installing any ROM as this will clear any reminents from prior ROM's. This one is very simple to use here is the link: Task 29 LINK

Very nice work and a little different then some of the other Roms-Which is a good thing..Had a couple of issues that it hangs when playing music and you try and use other applications.. not always happening but a few times, other then that I have had no problems.. Nice work!!

I have heard of that issue, and locating the fix, I feel that it is the sense 2.5, I can put in a different music player.
- Just remembered I put in Goove Mobile, that should help out.

Did a soft reset, all seems great. Like someone said before I love the Quick Floating Menu. The Icon and Wallpaper package rock too... great job

Hey great rom. Only major issue I have had is the screen sometimes goes off and I am unable to turn it back on. The buttons light up, but the screen will not come back on so I have to either reset or take the battery out to get it back on.

@Nibbley15--nice ROM man. I'm loving the taskbar and taskbar icons (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=318914&d=1272723863). Any chance you could package up the taskbar and taskbar icons into a CAB or point me in the direction where I can find it?

Have you try dropbox they give you a free 2gb account, then you can place the files under the public folder that they provide, once file is uploaded you can right click on the file an copy the web link an post it. Also they give you the app for your pc so all you do is save it in to a folder that you specify an it uploads the file automatically.... hope this helps!!!

I only had that happen too me once, it has to do with leaving a game running and it locking. I did a soft reset and tried to duplicate, now I can't get it to happen again. I'll do some research and see if there is something more that I'm missing.

[SOLVED] Dialer Scroll problem

I have had issues with 23569 & 23127 builds where I get this (please see pictures) I can't duplicate it all the time it just shows up whenever it want's too. As soon as I see the bar on the right the dialer disappears and it takes a soft reset to make it come back. Sometimes the soft reset works and sometimes it doesn't. If you have seen this before and know how to fix this please let me (us) know.
I have tried searching the forums and can't find an exact match to this.

Hello bro it is a well known issue with 6.5.5 build and it is already solved problem please see the first post " solved issues in chef central" and take a look at wm 6.5.5 index of fixes and u Will get ur solution.....

Thanks for the quick reply, I read all of those and none of them seemed to have matched the description.
Can you please tell me which one is the correct one to choose?
I tried the "Remove Phonecanvas scrollbar" by Alexx~~
Those files are not listed (8121) in my .dll files I have numbers 8124-8137 And they all have the EXSTYLE = 0x02000000 for the 800X480 and 480X800

I solved this simply using 23128 and dialer from Huashan (0.90 TEST ROM) .

With the 23127 I tried the fix for the button, then that caused the pink spot, then I fixed the pink spot, then that misaligned the caller ID screen; good grief.....
EDIT: Will the Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220163232_0 file work with the mui file from Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_2G_4_2_62520142921_0 ? Or do you suggest a different MUI file?
EDIT: Decided to try it anyway; after importing 23128 into kitchen & new canvas from .90 test ROM and cooking I got a common\persistance\internal\winmfile.cpp:56 error on boot up (phone). Tracking down where the error arrived from canvas or 23128 SYS
It was the 23128 causing the crash; the new dialer (Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220163232_0) is working in the 23127 build but well the picture says it all.....(first pic)
This dialer/fix worked, crazy all the fixes in one location http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715498 , needs to be added to the solved list, here is a pic. This fixed the scrolling issue, pink spot, and callerID placement. (Seal Team 6 fix)

Useful notes:
How to add a cab file as a package in your build!
First make sure you have the files you need with a .cab extension. This is the easiest way to do this. Drop the files into a location eg desktop.
.Open osKitchen go to Import
.Select button for cab installer file
.Press Browse and select the .cab file from the desktop
.Under Device Drop down select HTC Leo
.Uder Group select an existing group eg 04 Software, or if you want to create your own group type in the name here
.Under Name type in what you want to call Ext package
.Press Convert
You will then see a window with Operation completed press Ok
Close the windows and go into Ext packages and select the newly installed package!

Btw why are you on such old build for WM 6.5 ?

I wanted to give the option of upgrading the orgional builds so chiefs can have a choice. It was purely an exercise for me to see if it could be upgraded to the 576mb with office 2010 and .net etc.
I also had the phone on stand by with hspda last night and if my battery is right it dropped about 4 percent!!!!!!!

I am currently working on a sense 2018 version that is also Android compatable. This will be up in the next couple of days. I have got sense working on the build I am just simply trying to modify the base build to tweak it a bit. I will hopefully have a mixture of tmobile 2.10, 2.14 and leo 1.66

Kitchen build has now got Sense 2018! As far as I can tell this is the first Kitchen to be released with Sense 2018 included

It is very easy to built your own project files. Simply select the operating system on the first screen eg os 21869 (WM 6.5) or 23569 (WM 6.5.5) then when you go into the ext packages screen simply select the packages for the operating system eg:
If you select 21869 then select
01 HTC Packages - This is the list of the main packages
02 Sense 2018 fixes if you want to remove the rss feader,
03 23569 fixes - Do not select this - only use this for OS 23569
04 Tweaks - You can select what you want from this
05 Software - You can add what you want into this folder extra programs etc
If you select the 23569 OS remember to go into Sys Packages and select everything for beginers, and select 03 23569 fixes. This folder updates things like the dial pad and the keyboard etc.
I simply tried to keep the Kitchen rar file as small as possible!

For the read only error, simply right click on the osKitchen folder, go to properties and uncheck an read only check boxes! Sorry about that I kinda forgot the check the permissions on the folder before I uploaded it

Memory will be better the less packages you remove. If you dont want sense, you can simply de-select all the manila packages and the start icon loader package as well. It is not currently UC compatable, I have not done much work with this yet, but you should be able to download the cab files and add them in to the package.
What other versions of office are you using?

Just wanted to write back to say that I've been cooking away using your kitchen build and it's got to be one of the best one's I've used. I'm so close to perfecting my own Rom and it's all thanks to you.
Have you tried including the Chainfire 3D drivers? When I've tried it's not gone right (this isn't a problem with your kitchen, as i think it's an issue with OSkitchen and the 3D drivers from what i've been reading). Thanks again for this.
