There is a little bug with pim.vol in this build (only with contacts from SIM). You can apply patch, which restore another pim.vol.
Install patch:
- backup your contacts (you can use Jeyo Mobile Companion), because this patch erase all contacts from phone (not from sim)
- apply patch
- restore your contacts.

I use it more then 2 month, it stable enough.

Usually 8-9 mb. Leak of memory is small (after 11 days without reboot it will be 5-6 mb). Another screenshots I put lately.

Hi ALEURT,
Compared to andot's WM6 ROM, I have some concerns first before I try.
1. Is this more robust and responsive?I mean menu loading, and especially Messages and Contacts loading, is this faster?
2. Also is this in a near Vanilla version?I mean more or less it contains ALL the default applications that WM6 includes?Not just some replacements?
3. Is this AKU more latest than what andot used?
I am currently using andot's ROM, but I am having so much doubt that he is cooking a new and improved version since it is now killing me about the lagging and everything.

1) Hm, for me is better because include latest AKU (I port it to typhoon), no chinese, coolcamera works fine and more.
2) If you send me German language pack (for kitchen), I will make German build

1. May be no more faster because it depend on cpu, my rom no have unnecessary components and settings.
2. In my rom you don't find: STK, windows life, office, ... because it don't work (STK) or you can install separately (windows life, office), my rom include codecs for wmp, MMS and more.
3. Yes, andot used AKU 0.4.0 (18120.0.4.0 v.5.2.1616), my version is AKU 0.5.0 (18165.0.5.0 v.5.2.1711)

Cleartype have included in ROM and have activated yet. Choose other java-machine.

WM6.1 ROM (build 20275) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I had been making many Himalaya ROMs (see my signature). Though I had been making many Polaris ROMs also for my personal use, but this is my first public release. I am sure you all shall like it.
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

Sorry bro! it is WWE only at present. You can change the mui files and make it FRA.

I can change the language rom just with mui files? that method only works for apps not for the OS ?

Standard characters are coming fine in "Notes" on my polaris. see the thumbnail..

I will give this a shot. Just need to find that app list with most updated task manager and htc home!

ok 1 bug found is when your trying to change ringtones and notifications under settings>sounds and notifications, it wont allow any changes to any alert, infact if you try to ok out of the screen it even changes the ringtone from what was previously set by the install to the ring-WindowsMobile....???? and it will not allow you to exit that screen

i have uploaded your rom. so far there is a problem with writing sms text. numbers are working , but letters not. there is no phone keypad whilst in landscape mode, so i cant dial numbers at all. do you think you can fix it, and sent me link to fixed rom?

I think that this issue can be solved by this trick:
The main problem of sound files is DRM protection.
This is the part that we have to add somewhere into
registry (i prefer boot.rgu)

Shekhar, I don't know why it happens: each time I try to enter a character, sounds a beep (the one that sounds when you do something not allowed). I can enter spaces, carriage returns, accentuated chars, and symbols, but anyone from the latin alphabet.
This happens whatever the SIP is choosen.
I have never had a problem like this. Could it be because I flashed from the SD card? it's my first time.

Few bugs, End Key Data Terminate doesn't work.
For some reason there's no option or registry entry to disable the start up HTC animation via advanced config 3.3
All programs scroll from manila doesnt work.
I'm looking for the MMS cab file. I cannot find it and am always getting no results found?

Video playing from Manila tab is working, TT6 vers. 6.032 is also working for me and the automatic starting and running of active sync in the background seems to be gone.
To do for the user:
-Installation of NetCF 3.5, MMS, Opera (if you want to use it from the Manila tab), Weather patched Manila.exe (if you want to choose an individual city), installation of Total Commander or Resco Explorer to change Manile.exe, etc. (not working from PC), M2DC (if you like to change Manila theme), adv. config. 3.3 (if you want to change tabs in the comm-manager for example).
Not working:
-Long pressed end key, the data connection termination
-all programs selection from Manila programs tab only has worked the first time for me (after it, the selection seems to be dead)
-If I install the default polaris camera with autofocus, it is not working (with radio 1.59.42.15 or 1.59.42.23)
-Swiping between e-mail accounts not working for me

Any one knows which radio rom is/are compatible with ROM V38? I am having issue with V38. Can only make 1 voice call then the next one will have issue where i cannot hear or talk to the receipient. Same camera issue.

I've running V38 since two days, I'm running with the 1.59.42.23 radio.
I've added or corrected:
-Opera, .netcf 3.5
- folderview.exe to fix the all program bug,
- Tomtom V7, resco explorer to make the necessary copies,
- opal dialer of M-Amin, because I like his dialer,
- normal polaris camera (from M-amin page) to having the auto focus working.
Test results:
Reallyfaster than V35,
Tomtom V7 is ok,
phone is ok,
Didn't test video call because I'm not using it,
Exchange sync ok,
end key positionned to put my phone in airplane mode and it's working,
bluetooth and wifi working.
multi selection in inbox folder not working,
Camea is ok,

Hi,
now I have found a camera software with autofocus, that is working too. But the image quality seems not to be better than with the actual camera without autofocus. Deinstalled it, cause the actual one seems to be quicker. I have also installed folderview.exe. Now the button "all programs" in the Manila program tab is working, but I´m not able to scroll. Does it work for you and if yes, which folderview.exe are you using (the one from the Sirius R1 thread)?

Why you use new symbols in task menu....in main window (without x or ok button) the symbol for open programs is white....and the rest coloured...is not so nice...either or....

2.Incorrect rendering ot theme if you scroll up and down theme-over-theme in Titanium-Honey-cumb whatever you called)
3 QuickGPS not working (AGAIN!)
But it's a much better looking ROM then the previous one and I like the Theme pack, black

the 72% memory...its because of the htc mega aps....in a other thread of an htc mega 6.5 rom are the same problems...
For the rest i don`t know...my device is in repair service...the oil field prob of the touch screen(digitizer)....so i test it when i have my phone back...

I've got my phone running with HTC mega pack on 47% memory usage.
Okay i have used a clean rom and manually installed the mega packages, but in my experience roms with 65%+ memory are useless.

I must say that I am no fan of the skin in this ROM either.
And less than 40 MB free RAM after boot is unacceptable.

1) Camera is not working properly, at least on my pda, it acts as if the camera is always zoomed (even thought the pictures are ok).
2)i can't install my own keyboard, it doesn't work.
however i like the work you do! icons I like!! keep it going!

the reason for camera always being in zoom is that is not finished yet it's the same camera that Tachi uses and it's VGA .... HTC has not finished all of the MEGA apps yet.

First let me say that i really enjoy this one.
here're some problems i faced so fart:
Applications simply turn off without any exception message
There is no way to add a new Keyboard. It is being installed but cannot change the original one.
Windows live, i've installed the patch but cannot open it up.

ofcause it works fine sometimes when you just add the newest stuff that HTC already made perfect but sometimes there are incompadabbileties so they don't get fixed by just putting all the newest stuff in there but rather finding what's the problem then trying to fix it even if it means using old but working apps.

Useful notes:
How to add a cab file as a package in your build!
First make sure you have the files you need with a .cab extension. This is the easiest way to do this. Drop the files into a location eg desktop.
.Open osKitchen go to Import
.Select button for cab installer file
.Press Browse and select the .cab file from the desktop
.Under Device Drop down select HTC Leo
.Uder Group select an existing group eg 04 Software, or if you want to create your own group type in the name here
.Under Name type in what you want to call Ext package
.Press Convert
You will then see a window with Operation completed press Ok
Close the windows and go into Ext packages and select the newly installed package!

Btw why are you on such old build for WM 6.5 ?

I wanted to give the option of upgrading the orgional builds so chiefs can have a choice. It was purely an exercise for me to see if it could be upgraded to the 576mb with office 2010 and .net etc.
I also had the phone on stand by with hspda last night and if my battery is right it dropped about 4 percent!!!!!!!

I am currently working on a sense 2018 version that is also Android compatable. This will be up in the next couple of days. I have got sense working on the build I am just simply trying to modify the base build to tweak it a bit. I will hopefully have a mixture of tmobile 2.10, 2.14 and leo 1.66

Kitchen build has now got Sense 2018! As far as I can tell this is the first Kitchen to be released with Sense 2018 included

Can it be you missed that one? Or do I have to set up my own?
(e.g. an example ROM would be great)

It is very easy to built your own project files. Simply select the operating system on the first screen eg os 21869 (WM 6.5) or 23569 (WM 6.5.5) then when you go into the ext packages screen simply select the packages for the operating system eg:
If you select 21869 then select
01 HTC Packages - This is the list of the main packages
02 Sense 2018 fixes if you want to remove the rss feader,
03 23569 fixes - Do not select this - only use this for OS 23569
04 Tweaks - You can select what you want from this
05 Software - You can add what you want into this folder extra programs etc
If you select the 23569 OS remember to go into Sys Packages and select everything for beginers, and select 03 23569 fixes. This folder updates things like the dial pad and the keyboard etc.
I simply tried to keep the Kitchen rar file as small as possible!

For the read only error, simply right click on the osKitchen folder, go to properties and uncheck an read only check boxes! Sorry about that I kinda forgot the check the permissions on the folder before I uploaded it

Memory will be better the less packages you remove. If you dont want sense, you can simply de-select all the manila packages and the start icon loader package as well. It is not currently UC compatable, I have not done much work with this yet, but you should be able to download the cab files and add them in to the package.
What other versions of office are you using?

Just wanted to write back to say that I've been cooking away using your kitchen build and it's got to be one of the best one's I've used. I'm so close to perfecting my own Rom and it's all thanks to you.
Have you tried including the Chainfire 3D drivers? When I've tried it's not gone right (this isn't a problem with your kitchen, as i think it's an issue with OSkitchen and the 3D drivers from what i've been reading). Thanks again for this.
