this is great internet browser, there are many ppl looking for it, so grab it while you can, it is very smooth, it is the perfect browser if you like panning with yo finger, only there are some pages that do not load, and on ie do load, but yeah it is better than safari on that iphone

that the download has been removed
have you ever thought WHY the download has been removed?
technically, picsel is only licensed for use on samsung windows mobile devices.
i dont care hehe
eh, thats you right. but what do samsung and the makers of picsel think? Samsung paid picsel for the right to use it in their phones, you know.
you are completely right, but they dont think of us willing to try this on other phones when they made this browser, not that they should

Well, I don't think it's the best browser, but let's not fight over it
I've made a series of VERY serious comparisons and the alternates (Opera Mobile, Mino, NetFront, IEM + PIEPlus / MultiIE) have, in general, turned out to be better.

well, youre right, i think its pretty slow, and there are many pages that dont load, sometimes, it closes the program automatally, so basicly its crap, haha, but the experience you get of a page is the best ive tried, but i will try one of the ones you recommended

Yup, for the time being, DeepFish really sucks.
im surprsed that this file is still being hosted, ppl better get it while they can, a lot of ppl have been asking where they can find it
as far as browsers go, i love opera mini, it just works so good right now, the earlier editions pretty much suked, but this one (beta 2) is amazing
picsel needs major work to fit on the ppc, to many memory errors and unloading pages
deepfish is a waste of time imo, opera makes that beta version look like crap

Well, however much Adobe's Flash plug-in, speed-wise, is a piece of crap, other solutions (for example, NetFront's own Flash engine) are even worse.
And let's not forget at least we can run SOME real Flash apps, unlike Symbian or iPhone users, who need to stick with the far worse and far less common Flash Lite.
For any who are interested:
This is a work in progress, from what I've read its almost halfway completed. It looks to be like a very smooth and slick interface for winmo devices, designed with the iPhone's interface in mind. There is one spot open for a beta tester if you know what software he is using to make this. Hopefully we can get someone in that beta tester spot so we can get a little insider scoop!

It seems it does not work with the T-mobile proxy plan for those who are wondering. I just tried it . It does seem to start up faster with my Herald.
Can someone tell me the SHA or MD5 hash for this file? It only seem to be getting the same file I got several days ago.
Cool thanks for the heads up, installed and ran good on my TP

I just downloaded & installed. No reg required.
I still like Iris better for typical website rendering. Skyfire is a bit slow
would the installation of this version delete my currant favs?
Still no VGA rendering. Still sucks on VGA devices.

Skyfire itself uses a proxy, so its highly unlikely it will ever be compatible with another proxy.
Somekind of proxy... It's rendering sites on external server intead of device.
And the redering is slow for me. Uninstalled.
Works pretty fast and good for me. Thanks for pointing out the update.
It is finally getting close to the hype
I was excited when Skyfire was first released, but found that the simple things like text entry made it too much of a hassle to use compared to Iris. I see that now many of those shortcomings have been overcome. I'll still use Iris as my primary browser ( I love that most sites show me the "Iphone" version of their site ) but I'll be keeping Skyfire around this time at least for viewing flash sites. I was able to watch Hulu yesterday with Skyfire, and that was pretty cool. If thats all it was good for it would be a keeper.

+1. i dont need it to replace opera - just play video sites like hulu and thats good enough for me
does it still have problems with loading long pages and getting the bottom of them cut off?
Nice browser!
it is best browser i've seen - it requires some power, so do not be surprised with feeble htc units.
iris is ok, but no flash support, and its slower that it should at current state.
skyfire and opera mini - two things that good to have cooked into roms, imo.
416 mhz xscale is enough to handle skyfire.
loved skyfire the minute it came out, simply because of flash support and fast rendering of most sites.
Just got an X10, i've been using Legend for some days now (im in the business, as you might imagine)
The first thing that struck me: the keyboard... It doesn't register all key presses, compared to the Legend, it's really frustrating to writing on X10.
I've been happy with the speed on Legend, and thought that X10 would be even more blazing fast. But it isn't. Actually, its slower (!) I tried install Raging Thunder II on both phones, and it's running more smooth on the Legend.
X10 have way better hardware, but an older OS. Don't know how much this has to do with the fact that X10 seems slower than the Legend.
Would be interesting if the Desire ROM could be installed on X10
For now, I feel that HTC has done a way better job, customizing Android on a phone, and i'm gonna stick to Legend as my primary phone. But gonna use X10 for some weeks with twin simcard. Just want to test it properly
Try SmartKeyboardPro on X10. Must better that Standart Keyboard.
Try Asphalt 5 on X10 to see whats a good game
What compilation do you have? IE, your firmware.

I don't mean, and try to be negative about X10. Guess I really was a bit surprised that i found Legend (low cost Android compared to X10) to be a better phone.. for now.. It might just be that Android 2.1 runs way better. I don't know.. But ok. i'll be fair. Going to update this post in a few days, gonna use them both for a few weeks
did you purchase it from an online store or did you get it from a business or something?
My delayed X10 arrives tommorow...
Ive also used the Legend since it came, and love it!!!
However, its the X10 I was looking forward too....
So, Ill give it the easter vacation to make a decition on what phone to keep...
Probabely both....

Multi-touch zoom will not work in Dolphin, or any other software. SE have confirmed that the X10 lacks any kind of hardware multi-touch support. No hardware, means no support. Period.

The legend feels 10 times as good...
And dont get me started on exchange integration.. That part is just a joke...
It works kind of... But its just a mess....
And I who really was looking forward to this phone :/
So I was browsing the Internet to see how cool is to have Flash on Android device, I was sure Adobe improved flash due to many many criticizes about it but I was wrong.
I know(actually I think) that Google did his part, and improved speed and usability in Android, but Adobe still needs a LOT of optimization!
In this video you will see following because of installed Adobe Flash:
-Slow page loading(even though Google improved speed in Froyo!)
-choppy performance
-instability
-huge CPU and RAM usage
Android 2.2 (Froyo) Web Browser Test with Flash enabled
In my opinion don't install Adobe Flash Player
Don't get me wrong guys I love Android 2.2 and Google openness, but ADOBE needs to work...A LOT!

Than they shouldn't release it, it is useless!
Apple was right...I can't believe that is true!
This really bugs me, its FAR from useless. I have used it to play music from the myspace music players, games on kongregate, a liveleak video, and on the burger king website. It works great, if you keep it on demand and not on all the time, it won't even slow down your browsing. If you really think that this is useless, and shouldn't be released, then you are an idiot. It may not work 100% yet, but this is a huge step forward for the Android platform, and I for one am thankful that I have it on my Nexus. If you don't want it, you can uninstall it, it's that easy. Stop being whiny idiots and complaining about how it slows this down or uses too much CPU.
You can go into your settings and set the Flash plugin to "On demand" which essentially switches it off until you browse to a site with Flash content when you will see a play button. Press that button and the Flash will load.
Perhaps that should be the default option, but nonetheless, simple to change and is definitely the way forwards in my view.
i don't browse flash based website all the time, so it doesn't bother me at all. at least i know the mobile browser is fully functional for all websites.
Its Beta for a reason "Testing purposes"

Calm down. It's not even hardware accelerated yet. I for one am glad I've got any flash support this far.
If you only wanted something that's 100% failsafe go grab a parchment and quill
I hope the op isn't trolling. Adobe released the beta version for adventurous people to try it. If you don't think it is ready, then fine, just unistall it. No need to jump into conclusion when the final version isn't even out yet. The argument 'then they shouldn't release it (the beta version)' is rather weak because we are talking about a beta version here, which is expected to have flaws here or there...
flash works fine for me...and it definitely doesn't leave my browser sluggish...seems to be faster than the 2.1 browser even with Flash enabled...so I dunno.
Also, the Froyo browser is a fully capable HTML5 browser as well...so no, Apple wasn't right, Google was right...options > no options. I could understand if Google was anti-HTML5 but they are not, in fact as witnessed in the Day 1 Keynote of Google I/O they are one of HTML5's biggest supporters.
They just refuse to abandon the PRESENT to feed the future.
at least we have the option to use Flash.
You can change the plugin settings in the browser to load on demand so it will only load the flash content if u click on it.
Seriously, some people need to learn what "BETA" means. u_u
it's funny.
I was reading this and went to cnn and I was watching that oil spill vid.
And then someone called me. The vid stops and I talk on the phone to a
co worker and then hang up after about ten minutes. After pressing the end call button the video starts back up in the browser.
I thought that was pretty cool.
It's better than I thought it would be, and I'm pretty happy to have it.

Other than huge flash sites its awesome for me. I think its easily almost done.
Yeah initially flash slowed down my browser but once I switched it to ON DEMAND only everything is perfect. The thing I like about android is that I have the CHOICE to use flash if I want. I don't have to let apple choose for me. And when html5 matures and is mainstream I will have to choice to use both.
