Hello guys. I'm making my first ROM... I don't have a clue what i'm doing well... I have a rough idea. They is just a few things here and there I need to do but need help. So I made this thread for you guys to help me when I get to a problem. I will take screenshots and information on what i'm doing,

Questions & Problems:
1. How do I change the start menu to the grid type? (solved)
2. What file do I edit to add information on this page? (see screenshot "screen02")
3. How do I organize my applications so they are in folders? Like I want the "google mobile app" in the "internet" folder. (solved)
4. When I first boot my device the first screen I see is a black screen with the words "smart mobility" across the middle of the screen, How do I edit that text? Because when I first flashed it the text before was "udk Diamond" or something on them lines. (see screen03, second row, second image) (solved)
5. Where is the image located to change the background image. i have changed the touchflo background but cannot find the actual background image, can anyone help? (see screen03, 1st row, second image) (solved)

Alex-V ROM has Manila 2.1 if you have a look, when you download his ROM they is a folder called "Manila 2d 1-3" If you open that folder you will find the .CAB file for Manila 2.1 with flip clocks..... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605070

manila 2->new manila (from mega) without flipp clock

the m2d 2.5 etc is for 3d and most are vga or other but not qvga

I don't know why you would want my ROM, It will probably have loads of bugs but if you wish to flash your device with my ROM you may do.
HERE is a earlier release of my ROM. This is my first ROM, The 1 in my screenshots is the same ROM with just some of the images changed and a few tweaks/changes here and there.

IMPORTANT READING, DO NOT SKIP:
After the rom is installed, you need to do some manual setup:
1. Install all your backupdata, contacts, opera, tomtom etc etc.
2. Install the cabs provided in the zip file you downloaded:
-s2u2
-Weatherpanel (install to Storage Card)
-s2p
3. Copy the GFX from the extracted zip file to your install dir of s2u2
-ex: \programfiler\s2u2
4. Copy the folder Manila from weatherpanel folder in the extracted zip to \storage card\programfiler\marsware\themes
5. Copy the folder Manila WP Icons from weatherpanel folder in the extracted zip to \storage card\programfiler\marsware\icons
Allright, if you did this correct, go to instillinger\I dag\Elementer and unhook weatherpanel as todaytheme. Then highlight weatherpanel, chose "alternativer" to access weatherpanel setup.
a) set Theme="Manila"
b) set Layout="Manila.wpl"
c) select "Update Time"
d) clear "Don't Display Arrows"
e) set Icon Set to "Manila WP Icons"
Weatherpanel should now be setup correct.
Now to ThrottleLauncher:
Open programs, go to Throttle folder and choose Throttleconfig.
In here you can setup how TL will look like, that is mostly up to you how you configure it, but here is some small "to do":
1. choose TFlo3d,
2. in "height" chose full
3. then press the config button.
-in weather tab, scroll down and choose weatherpanel as plugin, save
now your back in main setup of TL, press the "reload plugin" button
You will also need to configure your e-mail, path to your pictures and to your music.
I set the pictures folder as default with this path:
\storage card\DCIM\100MEDIA\
Music is set to use s2p (installed on device, not SD card) and it searches for music
in \storage card\music

sorry to say, but I cant come up with any quick fix for this right now
I must try to build a new rom with some diffrent BT packages to see what works with this build...Its weird, cause it has worked for me before with this build, so im digging into it

But I cant get gullums diamond keyboard to work properly. Only numbers are displayed. This worked perfectly in you last norwegian rom (Touch-IT Diamond v1 NOR CE OS 5.2.20226 build 20226.1.3.0 ). Is it possible to fix this?

This time s2u2 is cooked into the rom, but for some reason I have not figured out yet, the app dont run right before you manually go to Program Files folder, and execute iLock2.exe, then run s2u2settings.exe, After that, you run s2u2.exe. After that everything runs normal with s2u2.
Why it behaves like that is at the time beeing unknown.
IMPORTANT READING, DO NOT SKIP:
(Edit: I do not consider removed apps a bug. Also I will not comment on remarks such as why this and that is removed, or why I did not add "your missing app")

Animated weatherpaneltheme is to big to be installed on devicememory, it needs to be installed on SD card, otherwise you will not have much memory left.
BUT, I can cook weatherpanel app, and maybe s2u2, I'll see what I can do, but you guys will still need to copy some files manually

Look at the bottom of first post. Its called Download EXTRA
the graphics look amazing,I hope the system is at least as fast and stable as udk's rom that I'm using for a while now..

The Original creator of this wonderful taskbar contacted me to say i could post his work so all credits to henk2484 for sharing his hard work creating these cool looking taskbar replacements
Warning this taskbar is for Sense 2.5 only and windows 6.1 don't try it on other OS or GUI as it could result in you needing to Hard Reset so be warned

I tried the transparent slider.
Now I have the TF3D tab icons and the invisible slider with its own icons.
It looks like they are overlapping each other. Maybe the old TF3D icons were supposed to be removed and it dint happen.
Let me know if you are fixing this, i'l be really happy

I found a thread on XDA after a lot of searching and one of the posts mentioned about 2 cabs which help in getting the transparent slider. I installed them and it works fine.

I will upload the files when i get home tonight.
These are the files I promised .
Credits to the authors of these files. I'm not sure which one i installed first but I'm guessing its the " Manila Glass slider Cab " first and then the fix.
Or maybe you could use the work done by both and come up with a clean cab ?

As I mentioned in the post I dont remember what files i installed first . However , i'm attaching another cab file and you could try this with the combination of those 2 and it might just work.
I hope you are on sense 2.1 as this does not work with 2.5. I'm on sense 2.1 + Weather.

Just grab the cab and convert it in EXT then cook it after the stock Htc endkey.
EDIT: LongEndPress key stock can be deselected from your kitchen.

I've done it but with no success.
I've deselected the stock one but nothing happens.
While installing it i have to select from two skins and then some other questions that i don't remember exactly.How can i choose the skin?

Did you cook in the skins? (it's necessary) If I remember me correctly; the default place of the skins (zip file) is "\Program Files\EndKeySkins\
the other files (.exe and .mcr) are located into \Windows.
Don't forget to build in all the needed Reg-Keys.
Ps; if you will build it in; you need to also to build in one theme into \Windows together with his Reg_key's. Normally the setup of the cab will do this. but now you need to build it in manually.

So Kurt, I see what you did with your package and yes, it does work so that Quick Endkey is up and running at boot up. The only problem is that with your package and even my own when I mimic yours is that when I tap the top left corner of the screen to change the theme I get these errors for every .brn file that you have already unzipped in your 0409 files.

just make a folder from your language (ex 0413 = NLD, don't know how it is for Greek) and set the zip files for that language, also the needed .brn files and put the translated strings file also in these folder.
Ow, just forget to mention, the strings file need to be saved as Unicode (probably you know that.)

Yes take your time, release 5 is an excellent rom, the only problem with 6.5.x is that its not compatible with all software due to the way it has moved the taskbar to the bottom, 6.5 allows us to use all software without display issues!

If the speed of flashing is so much quicker, then its no hardship to use tgtool to convert to a bin file

flashtime bin file = 1,5 min.
flashtime tsw file= 4- 5 min.
BUT convert time + prozedure .... saver is the "good old" tsw varient
