Just grab the cab and convert it in EXT then cook it after the stock Htc endkey.
EDIT: LongEndPress key stock can be deselected from your kitchen.

I've done it but with no success.
I've deselected the stock one but nothing happens.
While installing it i have to select from two skins and then some other questions that i don't remember exactly.How can i choose the skin?

Did you cook in the skins? (it's necessary) If I remember me correctly; the default place of the skins (zip file) is "\Program Files\EndKeySkins\
the other files (.exe and .mcr) are located into \Windows.
Don't forget to build in all the needed Reg-Keys.
Ps; if you will build it in; you need to also to build in one theme into \Windows together with his Reg_key's. Normally the setup of the cab will do this. but now you need to build it in manually.

So Kurt, I see what you did with your package and yes, it does work so that Quick Endkey is up and running at boot up. The only problem is that with your package and even my own when I mimic yours is that when I tap the top left corner of the screen to change the theme I get these errors for every .brn file that you have already unzipped in your 0409 files.

2) are the zip file present?

just make a folder from your language (ex 0413 = NLD, don't know how it is for Greek) and set the zip files for that language, also the needed .brn files and put the translated strings file also in these folder.
Ow, just forget to mention, the strings file need to be saved as Unicode (probably you know that.)

It's a skin for Spb Calculator which uses png files, it doesn't skin the original windows files directly.

Thank you for nice skin... I tried install spb calc but it said it needs to remove previous calc skin and after pressing OK, install is unsuccessful.

There's something disagreeing with the application then. Since the only thing I implemented was the graphic files I can't really help you with that, sorry. I just included the cab for convenience.
Try finding another download for the app, and then once you get it installed just replace the files with the one in the zip.
BTW do you actually have a previous skin installed? If so try removing that first.

Try searching in your windows folder for the file name. I'm using dcd rom, and it has SpbCalc_L.gif instead of .png. I just renamed it and it works fine. It is on the ROM, so you may need something like Resco Explorer to overright it.

Thanks for your help with this issue. I didn't realise the app was included in some ROMs.
If people could post what ROMs and/or devices installation was successful on it would be great.

Indeed I have SpbCalc_L.gif and SpbCalc_P.gif already but... even Totalcommander is not able to rename them... tried to change the Read Only attribute but failed... it says these files are on ROM.
Do not know what to do.

The images will be applied to the original calculator. Just follow the install instructions and then open the calculator as normal.

Here you go. The photo editor you used must have changed the colours of the multi-coloured image on the right, so I've changed them back to what they should be. Should work now (they do on my Elf)

The shourtcut to the games folder is realy nice!
But at time it only works for the WWE Roms no other language is supported.......
I have tried it on the 1.93 german rom... don´t work!
I have renamed the Spiele folder in (C:/windows/startmenü/spiele) to games but even doesn´t work (Think because the path name is different in GER and WWE Roms..)!
Can somebody make a version for the german rom??

Its probably related to the apostrophe in Programma's . Can you edit the _Gamesfolder.lnk file in \windows and add quotation marks around "#\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Spelletjes\?shellres.dll,-8229" ?
btw, the forum is inserting spaces, so watch out for that.

Are you sure? Remember it starts with an underscore _Gamesfolder.lnk .
If its really not there that would also explain your problem.

i did find the _Gamefolder.lnk and tried to edit it. It was originaly saying:
92#"\Windows\_folderview.exe" \Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Spelletjes\?shell res.dll,-8229
so to what do i edit this ....
Putting quotation marks between the seccond "/Windows and -8229"
doesn't make the cab work either..

Hi all,
I found a very handy Chinese Input - GouBi Chinese Input v.2.1.2.
However, it just said "cannot be installed" when ran the cab file in my i908 ( with Traditional Chinese ROM).
Then, I found that it is caused by the Simplified Chinese characters inside the cab file.
I tried to re-cab it and it can be installed!
But after soft reset, the input panel just show the default MS keyboard, instead of GouBi.
Is there any expert can help me to re-cab the file so we can share it with all the Traditional Chinese ROM users?
Please find the original cab file for re-cabbing.

Why did't you use the Chinese Traditional input from mine? (cab)
1. full screen writing,
2. box writing,
3. and it won't affect the word suggestion from default input (wwe),

ok, if yours already Chinese supported , forget about the "mingliu.cab" then.. no need to install
As I had said, 1d_mingliu.cab is for WWE device only.....(those without Chinese..... )

Hello guys. I'm making my first ROM... I don't have a clue what i'm doing well... I have a rough idea. They is just a few things here and there I need to do but need help. So I made this thread for you guys to help me when I get to a problem. I will take screenshots and information on what i'm doing,
Information:
* I'm using: Gullum EVK's Kitchen wm6.5 23016
* Program i'm using:
- new ervius visual bepe's kitchen version 1.7
- CAB_Converter

Questions & Problems:
1. How do I change the start menu to the grid type? (solved)
2. What file do I edit to add information on this page? (see screenshot "screen02")
3. How do I organize my applications so they are in folders? Like I want the "google mobile app" in the "internet" folder. (solved)
4. When I first boot my device the first screen I see is a black screen with the words "smart mobility" across the middle of the screen, How do I edit that text? Because when I first flashed it the text before was "udk Diamond" or something on them lines. (see screen03, second row, second image) (solved)
5. Where is the image located to change the background image. i have changed the touchflo background but cannot find the actual background image, can anyone help? (see screen03, 1st row, second image) (solved)
P.S If anyone else wants to add questions/problems reply to this thread and I will add it to the list.

If you want the ROM, and want to test it. I am willing to upload it.. but like I say... Its my first ROM so.. Don't complain that it's this and that.

4.this is the "Splash Screen" and later the "welcomehead 96 image"....use search...there is much information about this

Alex-V ROM has Manila 2.1 if you have a look, when you download his ROM they is a folder called "Manila 2d 1-3" If you open that folder you will find the .CAB file for Manila 2.1 with flip clocks..... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605070

manila 1->old Manila
manila 2->new manila (from mega) without flipp clock
Manila 3->new manila (from mega) with flipp clock
the m2d 2.5 etc is for 3d and most are vga or other but not qvga

I don't know why you would want my ROM, It will probably have loads of bugs but if you wish to flash your device with my ROM you may do.
HERE is a earlier release of my ROM. This is my first ROM, The 1 in my screenshots is the same ROM with just some of the images changed and a few tweaks/changes here and there.

Now the BUT part or maybe just a hint..
I have converted regkeys to provxml where some registry keys should be removed. But your converter wont translate it to provxml. The reg entries will be just skipped.
Example: [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\Kamera.lnk]
Usually this would remove the key, but the converter skipps this part.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The switch is r: NOT :r.
I will correct the 1st post.
So if you type:

XrMeLg.exe r:C:\BlaBlaBla\someFolder
it will work but don't expect any console output!
Just check the Files folder and you should find the reg files there.

Hi,
for some reasons I often need to convert a bulk of REG-files to PROVXML-files. Hence my question: Can you provide a version of your tool that offers a related command line parameter, ex. '"p" instead of "r"?
