but i work for best buy mobile and my boss knows i would marry android.
she told me today she got an email about the EVO but before she could check it we got busy as hell. but anyways im not trieng to get anyone all excited but just thought i throw any info i get to you all
ill find out tom. what it was.

Over on Android forums there's an insider that has predicted everything that has happened with this phone, and listed specs before it was even the Evo. He's pretty reliable.
Anyways, he's saying the Evo will launch on June 6th for Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc, and for Sprint on the 13th. If not the 6th for retail stores, then the 13th for everyone.
Pre-orders will start in mid- to late May.

The rumors are going everywhere on this. People are saying that since Sprint said it will be price competitively, that it should be around the 200 mark. However, others are saying the TP2 (all be that its a world phone built for business class) was priced A LOT higher than 200 upon release. Furthermore, since the Evo is the first phone for the US to incorporate 4G along with the mobile-hot spot, a giant screen, and Sprint's history of not having a freakin clue as to how to price phones "competitively" it could be as high as $300, but then, that would be pretty stupid to do as the iPhone will be released shortly after (if the release window stays in the late May early June slot)

Not sure if this will include the Evo or not. It's just a screening of Bruckheimer movies. BUT! They did show the Prince of Persia trailer at CTIA, soooo.. I'll let you think on that.

You know, those other two threads have really gone off topic, and IF the Epic releases on the 11th, then a separate thread is warranted. But only time will tell, and one of us is going to be eating some crow, and if the Epic releases on the 11th, it will be you, and if it doesn't, I guess I am the one who will be eating it. I have had to eat it before, and it doesn't taste very well, so I hope I don't have to eat it again. You take care Radar 5.

I speculate that the 20th is the original date. Yet, competitiveness drove sprint and samsung to push for the 11th; so as to beat the torch and possibly the droid 2 to the market. Their endeavors were most likely spoiled when a software glitch of some sort was found. Now, they are frantically fixing the issue and may soft launch the phone on the 11th if said glitch is repaired, or can be made available via update a short time after (much like the evo). The 20th, is a solid release date, and allows Sammy and Sprint to submit the software fix to manufacturing. This is purely conjecture and my outright lust for this phone has driven my imagination to draw such a conclusion.
Again is total BS that I am spewing.
Give me a release date Sprint, or you may soon lose a customer you never had.

According to Samsung's official Twitter account, we are at least 14 days away from any launch, which would me 21st at the earliest. I hope they are lying, but doesn't look like it.

I know right? And I am one of those people that wants this phone so badly I have been blatantly dismissing all those September or later claims, but this is not good news, and is probably the most specific they have been since the "Summer" commitment.

I'm really not look forward to this.

They're probably just trying to get all the bugs worked out. If the epic comes out with a lot of bugs, some people might return it and go to the Evo. I'm happy to wait a bit so all the bugs can be fixed. It will come soon enough. I'd be shocked if it didn't come out in August.

I went to another Sprint store that had the Epic ad in the window. They are the second store to tell me Aug 20 is the release date for the Epic. But, they don't know the price.

I hope it has the same $450 price tag (or less!) as the EVO. If I decide to go for the Epic I could probably get $400 for my EVO, so $50 would be a great price. Plus I still have my contract due October 1st.

That posting is from an authorized retailer, not the corporate store on Walnut St / 22.
Authorized retailers seem to be the last ones to get new phones in stock, as I have experienced with the Instinct release.

Sprint looks to be making all their high end smartphones to be $450. However, I can say for a fact that the 20th is unlikely, and NOBODY knows a concrete release date yet, at least not in the retail end.

True true. Everyone wants to make a picture that shows up in the news. This one looks no more legit than the last.

Which means AT&T has 6 days to fix this backorder issue, or preorders are going to get screwed.
People will walk in-store and grab theirs, while we wait at the mailbox for our preorders.

I work for AT&T, I haven't seen that message that is going around about early release yet but it looks legit. It mentions internal systems that we use and we have all the price tags up in store. It's rare for use to put a spot on the wall for a phone that is several weeks out.

Message seems legit, though I haven't seen this email passed amongst the ranks of store employees yet. That would be very awesome if it comes to be true, I can't take another day of my Samsung Moment and Sprint's poor coverage where I live.

The wife and I have our upgrades on the 26th, I hope you guys have a chance to wring this thing out for 4 days before we go get ours.

I didn't realize how many of us are still clinging to our fuzes.

It also looks like they finally fixed the Premiere store for people wanting upgrades. Yesterday it would only let me upgrade to an iPhone (any variety) and some crappy Nokia. This morning it allowed me to upgrade to anything.
Here's to hoping that it really is the 22nd!

I was just wondering when the expected release date of the SIII on AT&T in the US was. I know there has been very little, if any, official word on the subject, but I am sure the experts here could make an accurate assumption for release.

i also heard this from a AT&T store rep who just had a Samsung rep in the store who said the 28th

im going to a att store at 9am see what they have but i remember not preordering the iphone 4 and it was in the store on launch day while my buddy preordered his and he had to wait a week,we will see in 45 minutes.

Anyway, he let me listen to some of the "class" they went through (he was allowed to record it). It was basically a "how to market the sgs3" seminar.
The main point I cared about, 28th was the day my local store will begin sales.

While the 28th is very unfortunate there really isn't anything we can do about it. I wish they would of let people who wanted "no commitment" have the ability to pre-order. I wouldn't be in this predicament, having to wait to the 28th, if that were the case.

My AT&T local store manager said, very confidently, that they will go on sale Monday, June 25th. Who knows?? I'm just amazed at how different the information is from one store to the next.

Damn...still seems like pre-order is the only way to go. Sounds like you will get your phone much faster than just waiting on the store to get shipments.

They do allow you to I called 611 and I pre-ordered at no commitment on the 6/6 and recceived mine yesterday on the 21st....

HTC One On Sale in USA (Pre-Orders and Arrivals)?

With all this excitement over in the U.K. and Europe about the HTC release, we Americans are patiently awaiting some kind of news of a release date here. To my knowledge, there has been no update from AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint since the initial HTC unveiling last month.
With whom and where in the USA did you make your pre-order, find a fully working demo, find an announcement for a release date, or receive your first HTC One?

No release date for US version yet
There is no information for the US version but I am also waiting big time.
I had a preorder from Hantec.uk but now the release date has been pushed back to at least March 25 so I have until then to see if the US version will come out soon after. If it is close I will just cancel my order and get from the US so I can also get the ATT warranty on the phone.

they said we are first priority, but i dont believe that, i feel like they are going to wait until the gs4 is released so they can release it at the same time, they did the same **** with the vivid when the gs2 came out.

HTC would have been so better off if they could have sold it's flagship phone before the Galaxy S4 takes over the Ad's. Too bad for HTC

Yeah, sadly it doesn't look like we'll be getting the One on the 15th here

we are always in the blue when it comes to phones.. with all this talk about delays i regret selling my One X so fast thinking HTC would stick to their word and actually release globally at once

I've never heard of at&t taking any phones back for a trade in. Sure you get a lower price signing up for a 2yr contract but not a trade in.
Also while HTC did have a hand in brokering the deal, they are not the ones running the program. Clover is.
I think the program dates will either be extended or we'll see something early next week for a release the week of the 24th. Probably the former unfortunately. Either way I'm not holding my breath though.

It just sucks that HTC has said that the USA is their largest target market, and we'll be getting it at the same time as the other countries, if not later it seems.

HTC has said in a few articles that the USA is it's biggest market. But now that it's not releasing on the 15th I'm speculating that we won't get the phone until everyone else.
