My PDA model is htc touch P3450. I bought it 2 years ago from USA. By mistake i updated ROM by T-mobile MDA touch. After that my PDA Sim is not working and i could not get operator network. I am a Bangladeshi and live in Bangladesh, so in my country there is no T-mobile operator.

I bought my Dodpod about 6 weeks ago in Singapore, put in my Optus 3G Sim and it all worked a treat. Today I tried to change carriers to the new Telstra NEXTG 3 G network and the phone does not recognise the SIM. I have tried the Telstra SIM in my Nokia E61 and it works fine, but the Dodpod will not recognise the sim. And telstr are selling the JasJam as their preferred phone. All Telstra help desk would say is that the Dopod is not guaranteed on their network and to go talk to Dopod. Very helpful. But clearly the issue is with my Dopod as the Nokia works OK. Any clues anybody on what I can do other than going back to Optus?

I would say flash it to another ROM like the Telstra ROM found here:

If your phone is not unlocked yet you can get it unlocked here:

Hope that helps
Hi,
I bought my HTC Touch Cruise in France. I've unlocked.
I am in USA since one month and my phone does not connect to the USA Network ... I bought a GoPhone with a sim. But when I place my sim in my touch cruise that it fails to connect to the network ... But I have unlocked my phone. Someone would be in the same situation as me?
Regards,
Scootcarrouf
i'm not sure how many versions of the TC there is but does it run on US (AT&T) frequencies? my TC, before i totally decimated it by trying to replace the screen, worked like a champ.
may be that the sim cards are associated with AT & T phone?
I have a question:
I would buy the HTC magic in Belgium (proximus) where I am for work, but in a few months I have to go back to my country (Italy) and I still would like to use my phone with the sim card of my italian operator (Vodafone). I understood that I cannot. Why? is the phon blocked to the proximus sim? This is very strange to me because it means that I can use the phone only in one country.
Anyone can avoid me from buing something I can use only in Belgium.
Cheers
Andrea
I am new to htc world. I bought a Touch2 6 months back in Netherlands and it was on Telfort (a local network provider) on Dutch language. Then I moved to Canada and changed the ROM with the help of hardspl to English. But I can not use my new Bell Canada SIM card in this phone. It does not catch any signal. But when I checked through settings - connections - connection setup, then I see under country Canada there are a list of service provider's name listed but no Bell there. I guess this does not mean SIM lock or so. How can I add Bell in that list and make my bell sim work in my touch2 ?
Thanks in advance for any kind of clue !

It won't work at all no matter what you try... the phone doesn't have UMTS 850/1900, and Bell doesn't have GSM. Sorry!
It'll work on Rogers & Fido in 2G/EDGE mode, that's all you'll get in Canada.
what the mate means is that bell uses CDMA and the Touch2 is a GSM mobile phone so you can't use it with bell.

No, that isn't what I mean. Bell's HSPA network, launched about 8 months ago (the one which uses SIM cards) is UMTS-only. The Touch2 does not support Bell's UMTS frequencies. Therefore it sees nothing when a Bell SIM is inserted.
Hi,
Any one know when these devices are launched in the netherlands for t-mobile ?
Greatings
Antonius
You can order them now:
http://www.pdashop.nl/product/111653/htc-7-trophy.html
http://www.pdashop.nl/plan/?deviceproductid=111653&serviceplanproductid=0
Expected delivery 5/11. You can get them in combination with T-Mobile (and others), or if you already have a T-Mobile subscription, you can get the Trophy and extend your T-Mobile subscription.
you can also get the vodafone version.
Doesn't come with a sim-lock so your t-mobile sim should work fine with it.
I'm using mine with KPN Hi sim.
No branding on the phone, and the only thing showing that it is an vodafone device is the bootlogo.
And in the future i'm pretty sure we'll be able to change that.
