Thanks Worked like a Charm just did these Tweaks !
1. Install the TCPMP Tech1 TP2 version to the main memory. DO NOT install to your SD CARD....
3. Open the TCPMP player, go to Options> Video> If "DirectDraw" is check marked, "Unchecked Mark it"...
4. Check mark "GDI" (if it does not work then) Check "Raw Frame Buffer", (one of these will work)....
5. Go to Options> Settings> Select Page> DirectDraw> (Overlay format should say Auto) Check Mark "Use blitting instead of overlay", Check mark, "Use device strecting for blitting", tap on OK...
6. Go to Options> Settings> Select Page> File Associations> and Check Mark ALL THE BLOCKS, tap OK in the lower left corner, exit the player, soft reset your TP2.... When your device comes back up, you can play the videos now
Now it plays All my avi's with out a lag !!!
seems to be smoother now...thanks a lot

It looks like a new version of the flash video (.flv) plugin for TCPMP was just recently released.
For those not in the know, it's a plugin designed to work with the great freeware media player TCPMP, that lets you play flash video files.
It is designed for Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher. The plugin will never support the commercial successor to TCPMP CorePlayer (licensing issues).
This version allows you to play flv files directly over the internet via the site http://www.mobytube.net/ which lets your search and play YouTube and Google Video files via a mobile browser such as Pocket Internet Explorer.
I tried it out and it works great.
1.) For ease of use you should make sure TCPMP is associated with .m3u files.
2.) Then just visit http://www.mobytube.net/ with Pocket Internet Explorer (or Opera Mobile or other web browser that lets you download/launch files).
3.) Search for a video, once you find one you want to play, click on the video to download/launch the .m3u in TCPMP.
4.) Depending on your settings in TCPMP you might have to click the play button to start streaming the video.
wow, thanks for full info. i used prev versions, and it is very good thing.
btw, works fine in 0.81.
How do you install this on a Mogul/PPC-6800/WM6 and which one do I download?
You should first have TCPMP installed, download the Windows Mobile version from here:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/
Also, download/install any additional plugins you would like, though they're not required for playing back the flash videos.
Then download tcpmpflvplugin-v0.4.zip from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=196939&package_id=232906
Unzip and copy the files in inside the zip file into the folder (not in a subfolder under it) where you have TCPMP install on your PDA (on my device this folder is located in \Program Files\TCPMP).
Make sure TCPMP is associated with .m3u files by :
1.) Starting TCPMP
2.) Taping on the "Options" menu item
3.) Choosing the "Settings" menu item
4.) Tapping on the "Select Page" button (lower right)
5.) Selecting the "File Associations" menu item.
6.) Selecting/Checking "M3U playlist files (M3U)" from the list.
7.) And then finally tapping the "OK" button.
The plugin is corrupt
*edit* for some reason FireFox was downloading it incorrectly.
thanks for the heads up - 0.3 always worked well but went and upgrade to 0.4 anyway. cheers.

Is that Coreplayer 0.81 or is there a TCPMP 0.81? Latest TCPMP I found is 0.72RC
New release: tcpmpflvplugin-v0.4.2
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=196939
This plugin is just brilliant.
Warning : it COULD eventually induce a slight addictive usage of your PPC.
Great development, but only works for mobytube.net and .m3u files.
Can't play directly from youtube.
I'd love for this plugin to be made compatible with smartphones 2003SE (with TCPMP).
Can't understand why WM2003SE arn't supported?
How do I download video shot on my Touch HD to my computer.
Have tried simply copying them and all I get is the error
"Error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in the movie..."
Any ideas anyone. Won't play in Real PLayer, WMP or Quick TIme.
Cheers
Chris

Is there a way to change the default music/video player to Core Player? Right now the default on my phone is Windows Media Player but it is crap and doesn't even play mp3s.

You can install over it. No Issues.
Look again guys
Menu -> Tools -> Settings
Clcik on the Left Softkey (Select Page) -> File Associations.
There are a lot of options. You might have to scroll down on the menu.

Thanks now I got there
do we Tic all the files or you know which one is it ?
Thanks
That's up to you really. It totally depends on what files you want CorePlayer to "play".
Go through the list and figure out which formats you would like it to play. I would suggest AVI, MKV, MPG, DIVX.

Thank you so much for your Help
One more Qs I would like to ask is
Is there a Setting we can do to make it go Que forward
like in Tcpmp player
a 10/15 sec skip forward would also do
but all it does is skip to the next Video when we click the arrow
God Bless You
This is how i copy DivX .avi format to my phone:
Paste my TV-serries to GT-I9000/Phone(or Card)/DCIM/Camera
It asks if I want to convert, I answer NO (imo it takes too long and I don't care if it takes a bit more space (or does it?)).
When I play on my phone it says "Unsupported file type" But the TV-serries IS PLAYING ANYWAY after I click OK...
I have heard noumorus places that Galaxy S is supporting DivX and it clearly is, but bugs up on .avi DivX?
Is there any way to get rid of the message "Unsupported file type" (without converting)?
You can just connect the phone to the PC, select Mass Storage, notification area -> usb -> Mount and then copy them to the card and make a folder.. You don't have to put it under DCIM/Camera, that's just nonsense.
Anyway, I haven't gotten that message myself when playing .avi DivX or XviD files.

Yeah, I put my files in a folder called "movies". The only time I've received unsupported file types is when I try to play 1080P directly on the phone. 720P avi and mkv files all work fine for me and 1080P can be output through DLNA to my TV.
"select Mass Storage, notification area -> usb -> Mount"
Where is this Mass Storage you are talking about?

You connect with Samsung Kies?
Go to settings, click on "wireless and network" > "USB settings" > "mass storage". Plug in the USB and you shouldn't need to "mount" it.
Alternatively, if your USB is plugged in, bring down the notification window on top of the screen, clock on the "USB debugging connected" notification it will allow you to uncheck "USB debugging" which will turn your device into a mass storage device.

Hey Allgamer, thanks for the pointer again. I see three applications with the same name:
- Rock Player (armv7)
- Rock Player (armv6)
- Rock Player (armv6+vfp)
There are all free applications. Which one is the best?
Any eeepad user here notice, whenever I listen to music with my eeepad connected to the keyboard dock, if I close the lid it won't continue play the next song in the album.....
Sometimes even not connected to the keyboard dock, after it played 3-4 songs in the album it stopped, it only resume playing once I click the on/off button.
I also loaded 100+ music videos in the tablet, how do I create video playlist for it? In iPad I can sort those videos as music video in iTunes.
I created a m3u playlist for video and open with moboplayer, it doesn't play the next video in the playlist too.
iPad probably a better media player I guess....
try another music player. I really liked winamp before I started streaming everything via subsonic. I know winamp lets you sync via wifi

Open Moboplayer -> settings -> Play next automatic.
the iPad isn't better, it just assume that people are idiots and turn on all the options by default
And for the closed dock problem, I think that going into settings -> display and turning down the dock energy save profile will solve it

yep..try turn off the dock energy save feature and then redock/reboot
both winamp and ubermusic (from the deveoper of launcher pro, http://www.ubermusic.com/ ,in beta but fully working) are better choices than the stock one..
So I unticked the MobileDock battery saving mode, now it plays the next song just that it wont repeat the album after the last song.
Moboplayer: play next song already ticked but still after it finish the video it bounce back to the playlist.
Also how to make it default hardware encoding? I copy all my music videos from ipad, some are from youtube 720p mp4. If soft encode it will lag. In the moboplayer settings, If I untick default soft encode, when I click the video it lags, if I hold the video it only let me select soft-encode.
If I tick default soft encode, then it let me select hard-encoding when I hold the video.

I mean how is someone supposed to respond to that? Are you just trying to provoke people or what?

I suppose you need to turn on a 'repeat' option or whatever sounds close to that.. if that doesn't work..try a different music player...

in moboplayer, just 'click the video' means the opposite of 'hold the video and select an option'....hard-encode or soft-encode..
you can also use the stock player for hardware encoding playback..

My moboplayer doesn;'t do that, probably I should try reinstalling.
I must tick default sodft-coding then hold the video and select hard coding.
If I untick default soft-coding, I click the video and it lags, if I hold the video then only got option for soft-coding.
More importantly still couldn't create playlist for my videos.
