so i understand that since its initial release.. the hd2 had to undergo a lot of official "fixes" to make the phone more stable.. now i'm wondering if these fixes will automatically be implemented into the March-24th release from tmobile un the u.s? anyone got anything for me?
funny.. i figured this was an easily answered question... someone has to know the answer....
So basically I'm a little confused and perhaps someone can help me out here.. Basically I held off on D/L this so-called "official update" a couple days ago because I wanted to see how other people reacted to it.. but now I guess all links are dead.. and people are stating that it's no longer an HTC HD2 update.. but rather a Tmo Dash update? so can someone shed some light onto this?? because if its official.. I'd like to download it.. but i guess there's a reason why i can't find anything on either Tmo website or HTC....
+1 i am interested in this matter too
I got a text from tmobile saying there was a update for my phone, just wondering if anyones done it?
One more here... I will wait little bit more and see if that is in fact new new new update... not the one they released and pulled out due to issue people reported...

Ya I also got the message yesterday afternoon. I knew TMo already had rolled out 2.13 stock rom as I upgraded it from my standard 2.10 stock rom more than 3weeks ago. I am also aware it had issues as reported by many people also to add fuel to the fire for some unknown reason TMo decided to pull the download out making it offline. So thinking this maybe be a new revision of the stock rom 2.13 I desided to check it out and found its the same 2.13.531.1 TMo stock rom.
HTC HD2 Software Update Now Available on T-Mobile.com!

UPDATED: 05/26/2010
Due to overwhelming demand, some customers experienced slow download times when attempting to access the HTC HD2 software update from the T-Mobile Web site. As a result, we temporarily removed the link from our Web site to ensure the best possible customer experience.
Now that we have solved our server issues, we are happy to announce that the software update for the HTC HD2 is now available on the T-Mobile Web site for customers to download and install on their HTC HD2 smartphone.
If you have already downloaded and installed the software update to their HTC HD2, please continue to use your device as normal. You do not need to reinstall the software.

.....For the record people, there was NOTHING wrong with the initial release, T-Mob just had some bandwidth issues caused by all the simultaneous downloads....hope this clears it up.
Hello everyone,
I'm very happy with my Android HD2, it works like a charm! But unfortunately, I keep unlocking my phone while it's in my pants by pressing the menu button twice. (This does not require you to slide to unlock..)
Am I the only one having this problem? And is there some kind of fix for it? (I've been searching a lot today, but I didn't find anything usefull. There have been android builds for the HTC Desire with a fix for it though..)
I don't know what build you're running, but I have no unlocking issues whatsoever. I didn't even knew such functionality existed. I'm currently running Mdeejay's Desire HD 3.3a build, and tried it but my phone unlocks with the slider only. Maybe try a more recent build? I've tried several off Mdeejay's and Darkstones builds, but never noticed the behavior you describe.
Sincerely,
Mac

I'm currently running FroyoStone_Sense_V3.1. I assumed that this was an Android wide function, didn't realise it was disabled in other builds. I'll take a look in the build topic for this issue. Thanks!

Okay, Let's do some maths..
The last post was made on October the 3rd .. in 2010.
Now, it is August the 25th .. in 2011
For how many days have these posts in this thread been resting in peace?
....... that's about 326 days .. what do you think?

Seriously? The OP was in October 2010, and it's now August 2011. Were you specifically browsing through the oldest threads in the forum or something?
And yes, I would assume that they have. In fact, they may even have moved on to a new device.
I used search button and I have found this post.
I asked to Muurtegel if he had solved the problem..
I don't understand where is the problem.
Tell me If you prefer, I open a new thread... (with the same question)
Maybe people know how to solve it

You use the search tool to find:
1- Threads with solutions.
2- Recent threads with no solutions (to post in it)
But not to revive (utterly) old threads.
If you find an old thread, it probably discussed too-old ROMs and its information is probably out of date.
You are best to open a new thread that matches your newer ROM.
It's almost a year since this thread, and even if they found a solution I doubt it will work for your current ROM.
I just got an update from HTC to 2.50.495.2 and I would like to know if anyone else got this and what are their observations. It happened just 5 minutes ago or so.
I didn't get it but i heard that they fixed the WiFi-issue. The connectivety seems to be better now.
Yup, fixed some wifi issues (constantly dropping connection) for me.
Thanks for the info. I never had the WiFi issue so I guess the update is rather useless for me. Oh well.
Thanks again!
I've never experienced any wifi problems, but updated anyway. Now, the battery is draining pretty quickly compared to before the update Anyone else experiencing the same?

I'll be checking this for the next few days, but if anyone has any figures I'd appreciate the info.
I tried to do the update, but I think it failed, because my phone was completely resetted! Guess I'll try again...

No battery drain here, 4h. of wifi for 2%, I did however reboot it a few times, maybe that helped, dunno.

Sorry, but I cant provide a link as it was OTA. I noticed it yesterday on the phone and updated, although I dont know how long its been out. I did some quick research and there doesnt seem to be a lot of information about it except that some say they lost Arabic support.
My phone is, I think, a unit from France so I dont know if all regions have the update. Maybe the others who responded to this thread can shed some light to the updates availability.

My GPS is no different than before, just to let you know for comparison.
Thought my GPS was broken too but it just took a while to 'find' itself. Was hoping the update might have been a preparation for an unlocked bootloader (yes I know it has only been announced for 'current and future handsets'). But I still live in hope. Only had the update for a couple of hours so will need to monitor over a couple of days to assess the affect.
