Hi friends
Is there a way to save pictures in gmail emails to phone/card memory?I mean the pictures coming along with text message and not the attached ones...
They don't even display for me...
There's a thread about this, it screws up, at least when using gmail through activesync.

Help...anybody?
Download your mail using IMAP, not the (useless) java GMail app.
Set attachments to SD Card
Download entire message and attachments
Set IMAP to 7 days if lots of email

Open the mail settings in messaging app and set STORAGE Tab anywere you like (This will set the attachments path) . The mail has to be stored in the main memory, to avoid problems

I don't think you can delete the original Outlook account. I uncheck it in the Activesync list since I use Gmail IMAP. You could reroute your Hotmail through Gmail so that you have one place to get your mail and you would have a master copy in the Gmail "All Mail" folder. I have Gmail getting several accounts for me, I just get them all with Gmail IMAP.
Thats exactly what I wanted . THANKS!
Unchecked it in ActiveSync and it worked.
There is only one question I have. I have als set up gmail over imap. But I only see the inbox mails. In all other folders (tabs made in gmail) I dont see one mail. Could someone explain to me how I can set it up to see all mails I ever recieved in gmail?
Thanks!

Go to Gmail in Pocket Outlook/menu/tools/manage folders, click on the + next to Gmail at the top. Now you can select which email that you want transferred to your HD. I don't select "All Mail", but rather select Drafts, Sent Mail and Starred. BTW, the Sent Items under the normal Gmail Inbox should be unchecked for IMAP to work properly.

Thanks! Seems to work pretty well
Why should the sent items under the normal Gmail Inbox be unchecked for IMAP to work properly? Only curious to know why
I'll try to sync only some subfolders and the draft/sent mail/starred folders.

It makes duplicates of all the emails. I actually didn't use it that way because the directions from Gmail online gave instructions to disable the Sent Items folder.
I'm glad it's working for you.
Hi guys,
I have the HD2 and I set it with 2 differents accounts settings.
1st Account : my company settings in POP
2nd Account : my company settings in IMAP
From my computer, I send email to these accounts with attached a pdf file and on the email body, 3 inserted pictures (2photos and 1 pic into the signature)
In the POP account, I could access to the attached PDF file but I could not see the inserted pics.
In the IMAP account, I could see the inserted pics but not the attached pdf file.
This is very annoying as I will use the HD2 for business purpose, I have very often emails with photos inserted + word or pdf files attached...
I sent the same email to IPHONE and I could get the email with all attached files and inserted pics perfectly
Do you think that this problem is coming from wm6.5 or from the Phone ??
Pocket outlook cannot manage multi attachment
On the IMAP settings, I have set download full mail and all attachments.
On the POP, download the full email.
I realized as well that if I remove the inserted pics, I can see the attached pdf file on the IMAP account.
is someone getting the same issue ???
Hi,
1. I've got 4 accounts on gmail, just set them and coped to receive all emails
from server but only from inbox. how to get all emails from "sent", "drafts" and "deleted items"? I go to "sent" folder, hit send/receive and the phone performs: connecting, loggining on, looking for changes, receiving headers but there is no messages at all.
Finaly after 5min got the message "Messages cannot be downloaded.Make sure settings r correct", how to set a gmail account?
2. Is there any way to change the storage of emails on memory card?
I went to menu-options-storage and marked "when available, use this storage card to store attachement" but it seems that phone memory is still in use as free space is decreasing. Is this option only for attachement? if yes how to transfer everything emails and attachements to storage card?
Thx
Open the inbox, menu, tools and manage folders

Thanks, I didn't scroll down to get into TOOLS, anyway I set everything properly and still have the same problem.....
Ok found the solution - it must be POP instead IMAP to download all folders.
Any idea about question nr 2?
Syncing multiple folders normally works with imap too - or there's something particular to gmail. But I'm using them with an other account that's using imap.
To question no2, no, not possible to move everything to storage card. The checkbox indeed does only attachments.
Hello.
I am using the built in Gmail application and have a problem and a request:
1) When I'm viewing an email in my PC in Gmail site, the app syncs fine and it shows the email as read. Although, when I'm reading an email with a 3rd party app called "Sparrow" which is running by IMAP on my PC then the Gmail app in my device doesn't get updated until a new message arrives, but the Gmail website does update immediately. Can I do something to make the app updated even if I read the email with Sparrow?
2) Is there anyway to mark email as read from the notification bar?
Thank you very much!
Would appreciate some help

The Gmail app uses push so it syncs the phone app and account as soon as you do anything. Other apps using IMAP have to sync back to the server for the changes to become apparent. This is why I use the Gmail app for my Gmail and the stock app for POP3/IMAP email
But what's weird is that the Gmail website does sync with the IMAP app and the Gmail Android app doesn't - until a new message arrive, then it "refreshes" itself and mark the email I read as read.
Can't really offer a suggestions as the Gmail app does what I want it to!
I think it's all fixed, I've updated the IMAP app on my Mac.
Anyway, what about the "mark as read" when I read an email from the notification bar? Any tweak for that?
The new Gmail app has the option to Archive (which also marks it read) but don't know if that'll be of any use. It's fine for me as I can archive an email on my phone and Outlook 2013 still downloads it as a new email as it's the first time an email clients has downloaded it
So when you archive an email in your phone, Outlook just looks at it as a read email?
No, it downloads it as a new email cause I use POP3 in Outlook not IMAP
