WM 6.5 Sprint Stock ROM QuickMenu Alternative? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Hi,
So, I installed QuickMenu from PocketPC Freewares:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-quickmenu-v2-7.html
Problem is what worked with WM6.1 doesn't work with WM6.5. It doesn't start up after a soft reset even though the options are set to start up after reset.
Can anyone recommend an alternative program for QuickMenu that does work in WM6.5?
Thanks in advance.

anyone?
have any alternatives? I'm thinking that there has to be something but searching google for Quickmenu alternatives doesn't lead to anything major.
Any help? Please?

I use QuickMenu with WM 6.5.
Check that you have a shortcut "QuickMenu.lnk" in \Windows\Startup.

Quick menu could be used on 6.5. Find the appropriate version

I use this version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4101818&postcount=28
It works very well on tmo TP2 with stock 6.5 rom.
Apparently there are a few more tweaks needed when using QM on wm6.5 but that cab has done everything needed.

THANK YOU!!! I ve been looking for this forever

Problems of AKU3.3.1 on X01HT
Hi all,
I've been update my X01HT to version 2.11.255.1 and radio of 1.38.00.10, also install all the software like resco files explorer and spb pocket plus, I've found that the phone will freeze on today screen randomly and no responding when I try to open all program by tapping the start menu. I can use all button of the SPB pocket plus like reset and the power on today plug-in, also I can use the phone function but cannot open any program like contacts (The situation is I can still tap on the start menu, but after I tap to open any program, the cursor windows will appear for a while, but the screen still stay on today and no program open.) The problem will solve after softreset. It appear about 1-2 times a day, anyone can help me to solve the problem? Thanks!
Sorry for poor English!
Regards,
Joe
Actually I use 2.11.255 on my x01ht and it runs VERY stable. Maybe you have some application that is not fully compatibile?! Try hard-reseting and instaling programs one-by-one and spending some time checking them...
As seen from your signature, you are not using Hard-SPL?!? It is a MUST!
Thanks for your reply first!
Yes, I'm using SPL 1.04 because I will flash my rom using mtty by command "lnb". I don't know if I use the hard SPL, can I still flash my Rom by using mtty?
Also, can I flash any ver. of rom after flashing the SPL to Hard SPL?
I read all thread in the XDA-wiki about Hermes but still got no idea about Hard SPL.
Regards,
Joe
Also I want to ask about the dialpad skin.
If I change the dialpad skin to another style, will it cause the system become unstable?

Yes, you can flash ANYTHING using Hard-SPL + you will never brick you phone! But I'm not sure if you will be able to flash from mtty... With Olipro's RRWrapper flashing become as fast as with mtty, so don't worry about mtty...

ROM vs Extended ROM

Hi,
What's the difference between ROM and Extended ROM on Athena device?
How to look at their content?
Thanks.
ROM is the main operating system, extended rom is hidden but download total comander and type in '/Extended_ROM' to access there you will find all the programs installed by default and as such you can delete the ones you dont need like blackberry tmob settings of home pages on internet explorer and add your own so when you do need a hard reset it will install all your fave progs

Something turned up, or to be exact: Nothing turned up. It seems that Total Commander thinks it is a network adress...
Does the Extended ROM need to be unlocked like the Unverisal?
I just did a hard reset and now Opera doesn't work (same problem as thread ...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=307645&highlight=Opera+launch). It sounds like the program CAB is in the Extended ROM, but I am unable to see it either. With my universal the Extened Rom had to be unlocked. I'm not sure is that the same with my HTC X7500. Anyone know?
Thanks.
I think the correct input is "\extended_rom" (without the quote). It should work.
Ollisshop, you should be able to go the entended rom and reinstall opera. First, the generic opera, then the customized opera cab.
I have just downloaded Beta 2.5 - is this the latest? I can't delete anything from extended rom - does it need unlocking, if so, how?
Thanks
PS - appologies for noob questions, I am learning!

It does! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you !!!
Wow it worked. This took me hours on my Universal to figure out. You guys are great.
Now with all this extra time, I'm also going to install NetFront and compare it to Opera.

I am not quite sure whether I can give the solution, but I would go to
settings - systems - and than there must be a configuration for the Task Manager. I have a german system and here it is "Aufgaben Manager", but I do not know the english name.
I think the original Task Mananger is just switched off and you just have to switch it on again.
dingolino
Thanks,
but i'd just reset my phone, but you are right
i'm looking for the Aufgaben-Manager (Task-Manager) under "Taste" (Key) i have to set "Kurzmenu in Heute-Fenster aktivieren" (Activate Short-Menu in Today-Screen)
herewith i'm able to activate or deactivate the task-man
here are some users which have the same prob after installing and deinstalling SPB panels and they can't find a solution.
Before i reset my phone I had spoken with the xperia hotline and they also cant't fix it

How to change operator name for good?

I used the search funktion and found couple things (Personalizer 2.0 and Op Mon) regardings this.
After a soft reset the operator name changes back to the original.
Is there way to keep the changed operator name even after a soft reset?
I would appreciate a lot, if someone could help.
cheers,
timsah
Hi,
I wanted that myself. I searched and Personalizer works for me perfect. After softreset aswell. No idea why it not working for you. Check windows/start up folder, maybe its not starting after reset.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426673
The reg setting should be in HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\OperatorName
@artukas613
Thnx for the link, i tried with Personalizer 2.0 and didn't know about 3.1
Now it works even after Reboot.
@Bruce Inman
My ROm is without Manila.
I tried with HKLM/System/State/Phone/CurrentOperater. After a reboot the change is gone.
thanks guys,
timsah

Hi, thank you for the suggestion, i am using a rom without Manila in combination with Spb Mobile Shell, so no need for co0kie's Home Tab Editor.
Everything works fine with Personalizer 3.1 anyway.

WKTASK is too old to be compatitble with 6.5.5, until the author updates it so that its compatible your only answer would be to run 6.5
