Spl 1.42.0000

Where do i find it?
Searched for a long time

Why do you need it?
You can't get it on it's own, you need to flash a stock ROM using the SD card method to get the stock SPL on. If you turn off your phone, hold down the vol down button and turn it on you go into the bootloader - what SPL version is listed in there?
(to get out of the bootloader, take the battery out for 5 seconds and put it back in)

my spl: 1.66.0000
i have updated my hd2 rom once (original update).

You'll need to get a 1.48 ROM and flash back to that using the sd card method to get back to SPL 1.42. Then you can put HSPL on the phone and upgrade again using the activesync method and you'll be ok.
You can get the 1.48 ROM here, just put in your serial number:

Then follow these notes:
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. Therefore if you flash a v2.01 or later Rom (with SPL2.*) you will NOT be able to reinstall HardSPL onto your device and could end up bricking it. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

I need to find SPL 1.42.0000 for my leo, swedish.
The link in the previous post didnt work for my SerialNo =(

you can't get just the SPL - you need to flash the stock ROM for your region.
and the link wouldn't work as it was the Dutch HTC site - try here:

Flashing via ActiveSync with USB Lead (thanks to Bepe)
1. Download HardSPL package from *HERE* and extract to an empty folder
2. Synch Phone with PC in Windows Mobile!!! It has to be connected to activesync or WMDC via USB cable
3. Run HSPL2_RUN.exe from your pc and read all the text carefully
4. When finished click next in the HardSPL program
5. The program will now check the usb connection and enter the bootloader screen (tri colour)
6. NEW: YOU CAN NOW CHOOSE WHICH VERSION OF SPL OR HARDSPL YOU WANT TO FLASH TO YOUR PHONE!!
7. Select your desired HardSPL and click NEXT.
8. HardSPL will now be flashed to your phone.
5. When its finished the HardSPL program will pop up a box saying "successfully Done".
6. Click ok to terminate program and reboot the phone.
7. Congrats, you just flashed HardSPL.

you are showing your ignorance by getting all demanding, if you had read anything, you would know that spl is part of all official roms.it is not a file in its own right.
the only reason you would be looking for it is if you have a telstra, cos hspl2 works on any spl. in which case you need the 1.49 telstra rom, flash it from sd card and it will downgrade your spl to 1.42
if you don't have a telstra, then you are looking for something you don't need.

do you have a tmous phone? in which case you need hspl1024 (see my sig)
if not, try different usb ports, especially try to use one around teh back of the computer
also, dont forget to right click hspl and 'run as administrator'

nO it does not work that way!
Would be a lot easyer if you just gave us the file 1.42.0000.nbh so we could add it to our SDcard and flash it without it locking or not working! Please I beg you send us over the 1.422.0000 file all by itself!

I have the same problem and so does everyone else, they no the files don't work and they won;'t give us the EXACT 1.42.0000.nbh file so we can SD card flash it!

How come someone sent over a SPL 2.08.0000 which mine used to be 2.10.0000 and that worked just fine, why wouldn't sending over a file 1.42.0000 just like they did with the 2.08.0000 do the same... IT WOULD!

Can't Flash Anymore!?

I try Flashing, I have been doing it..
but now it gets stuck on
Loading... or on 0% black htc screen on phone,
when I restart with Vol Down, or even trying to flash through USB...
if i have a LEOIMG.nbh on my SD Card it just HANGS/STICKS on "Loading"
and if I press vol down and restart with no SD Card in, and try flashing through pc, it sticks on 0% on the htc black screen on the phone.
I flashed onto Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.2.23549.5.5.0_1.72_Multi-Lang_6.5.5
I'm on
ROM Version: Duttys M-Lang Series 6.5.5 V1 WWE
Radio: 2.08.50.08_2
On Bootloader it shows:

SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
The phone works-it's just stuck on Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.2.23549.5.5.0_1.72_Multi-Lang_6.5.5
and I can't flash to another ROM/s

When i run HSPL2, it doesn't let me do anything still, it detects phone-but then just give error,

Description: USB Connect failed!
But Windows Mobile Device Center Connection works and all.

just a thought, did you instal the mtty drivers in the past? because if those drivers are running on the usb port then I think you won't connect from hspl.
boot to bootloader, connect usb, on pc open device center, find mobile device, right click and update drivers. click through and it will instal the latest drivers, then try hspl2 again.

but the way i had to make it work was, make it go into bootloader with no sd card in. so then when i put usb cable in it says usb, then i put it in a usb slot i hadn't used, and ran HSPL2 as admin, and it worked!!! Thank you!!!

Stuck at bootscreen! (Solved)

Hey all,
A friend of mine tried to install android on his HD2.
After installing HSPL it worked fine.
But after flashing MAGLDR the phone gets stuck at the HTC bootscreen.
And I cant get the phone connected to activesync
What did I try:
1. Hard Reset
2. Using a stock rom RUU (ruu_signed.nbh)to flash like this:
a)Formatting the sd card to fat32(16GB)
b)Putting ruu_signed.nbh on the sd card and renaming it to leoimg.nbh.
(I tried the Unbranded and the NLD RUU)
c)Turning phone on with vol down.
After the thrid step (c) I get on a screen that says "Loading..." but after 30 minuts nothing happen.
Anyone! What do I need to do?

BTW i got my ruu_signed.nbh files from the %temp% folder of the RUU installer.exe

The SD card should be freshly formatted, FAT32 format.
It´s not easy to find out what went wrong with MAGLDR.
Did you use the latest version, 1.13?
What HSPL and what Radio ROM version were on the device?
And finally, do you still get into the bootloader screen (vol. down + power),
what does it say in there?

"A stock ROM" is very tight information...
For your reference, flashing through SD card deletes HSPL, that´s why I asked
what the bootscreen information says...

See, the information you posted is helpful indeed.
You still have SPL 2.08.0000 on your device instead of 2.08.HSPL. On the other hand, I still don´t know what your original ROM was.
Please try to re-install with HSPL3.exe, and please make sure to install the correct Radio ROM in case you don´t have it yet, should be 2.15.50.14.
Both items are required to run MAGLDR properly.
If your attempt to flash a stock ROM failed, then something else was wrong.

There are known problems flashing with 8GB, or greater, SD Cards.
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Run HSPL3 and select 2.08.HSPL
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Download and flash the RADIO 2.15.50.14.
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Now you are ready to go through the MAGLDR instructions and NANDRIOD flashing.

Thanks for adding that hint, I keep forgetting this very fact.
I do have the 2GB card which came with the device ready for flashing purposes... it was even my Goldcard at very early stages.

Thank you guys.
The problem was hspl.
Because of the sd card (i think) hspl wasnt flashed right. So i couldnt install a radio or get magldr working. Now i reinstalled hspl and i can do anything.
So what i did in short:
1. Reinstalled hspl 3.00 with a 2gb sd.
2. Flashed the right radio.
3. So now magldr was working
4. Flashed the nld stock rom(to be 100% sure everyting works).
5. Reflashed magldr 1.03 again.
6. Flashed an android disre hd rom (standard nand rom doesnt seem to work).
7. We are happy everything works.

[Q] Flashing Win7 for the 1st time

Hiya
My 1st attempt to flash a phone and not going so well! Sorry if it's been asked before but been looking around for what seems like hours and going round in circles!
Installed MAGLDR113 and all seemed well. Can get into the bootloader screen but unable to flash back to stock rom 6.5 and saying INVALID VENDOR ID. Nor can I seem to get the menu up to get into the USB Flasher to install Win7.
When I hold down the vol down key and boot up, I can plug it in via USB and can flash to the phone but what do I need to flash??
Any pointers greatly received! Thanks

you need to provide more info.
first and foremost, have you installed hspl on your phone? you need hspl 2.08 before installing magldr.

Ahh, see told you I was a newbie!
No I haven't installed that, is there a way to do it after installing magldr?

Have used HSPL4 as this tells me I am able to downgrade to 2.08 using this. Tried it several times and it says it is successful but still shows as 3.03.
Have managed to get into the bootloader menu and try and flash stock ROM that I got from here (RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship) but it fails.

HSPL>Radio>MAGLDR>WP7
thats the order in which you need,
ive never installed magldr first then tried HSPL but give it a shot
boot in to the bootloader, plug in the USB cable, and install HSPL
maybe worth doing magldr again, make sure the radio is the correct verison
the boot in to magldr, and go to USB flasher, connect the cable then run WP7 setup

1. download hspl3 and unzip
2. exit all running programs on pc, including antivirus
3. enter bootloader
4. connect to pc via usb and wait for connection to be establihed - you should see usb instead of serial on the bottom of the screen
5. run hspl3_pkg.exe as administrator
6. select 2.08 hspl and follow the dialog to finish the installation
7. enter bootloader again - you should see "cotullahspl"
if you ever want to go back to your stock rom remember to install hspl4 and choose either spl 3.03 or hspl 3.03.

Have tried to rerun magldr, it runs but comes up with ERROR (270) : UPDATE ERROR

hspl4 is also what i use but you need to select 2.08 hspl upon installation.

OK, have managed to flash a stock rom to downgrade the SPL to 1.42, does this change anything as I still don't seem to be able to get any further!

Now instal HSPL 2.08
then make sure you have the correct radio
then install Magldr
then go in to magldr and use the usb flasher
connect the cable and run WP7 setup

Thanks everyone, installed 2.08, updated the radio and magldr came up with the menu. Have flashed Win7 so just having a play now!

HD2 Stuck on wsod and bootloader

Don't think so, from what I know you have to flash the wrong radio ver on tmous handsets to brick them...

Try the hd2 nand toolkit and select install hspl and follow instructions.
When you plug usb into phone it should say usb on the tri-color screen.

I've tried. The bar of loading goes around but The hspl won't install. I will try again now

Only other thing I can think of is check that your anti-virus is not blocking it , actually turn it off and try again....

i've disabled real time protection and tried...nothing.

Disable completely ...to make sure..

i've a mac at home and i'm trying now with a vmware machine... with no AV, tomorrow i'll try on a laptop with wxp installed...
But now, no success with the wxp vmware, without AV. Same behaviour of a "direct" wxp installation.

should active sync accept incoming usb connections?

To install any SPL or HSPL there must be any SPL version from this list on your device:
SPL 1.42.0000
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000
SPL 2.10.0000
SPL 3.03.0000
Otherwise the installation will fail!
First go to here to download HSPL 4. I suggest HSPL 4 because it supports all SPL versions that are out right now including SPL 3.03.0000 and SPL 3.10.0000. Remember you can also use HSPL 4 to flash back to your original SPL. Once you have HSPL 4 downloaded use a zip program like WinZip, WinRar, or Win7 to extract the .exe file for the DFT installation utility to a location of your choosing on you computer. Take and put your HD2 manually into bootloader by holding the volume down button down while powering on your HD2. When you see the multicolor bootloader screen on your HD2 connect it to your computer via USB cable. If it is the first time you have connected it to your computer while in bootloader you will have to give it a minute or two for the drivers to install. When you see the Serial in the white bar of bootloader change to USB you have a HTC USB Sync connection between your HD2 and your computer. This is very important, make sure you have the latest ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center version (depending on what version of Windows your computer uses) installed on your computer as it has the updated USB drivers for the HTC USB Sync connection. Go to here to download these. When you see the USB in the white bar of bootloader right click on the HSPL 4 utility and select run as administrator. Follow the on screen instructions and select the desired HSPL version when it prompts you for what version you want to install. If you want to flash MAGLDR to install NAND Android or Windows Phone 7 you have to select 2.08 HSPL. When you see “We hacked it” on your HD2 screen you click yes on your computer in the box on the screen to confirm you see “We hacked it” then click close and you have flashed HSPL to your HTC HD2. i've got a 2.08.0000spl now... but i can't manage to flash a hspl...is the bootloader damaged or corrupted?

done the removal... when plugged again it automatically reinstalls drivers from activesync folder, is this correct? should i uninstall activesync too??
