iPhone interface-Point UI

hi folks, i recently found this application 'Point UI'. You may find some other threads for this, as well. It provides kindda iPhone interface to windows mobile. I ain't crazy for Apple iPhone user interface and themes, but i am sure, there are some people who would definitely appreciate a change.
This software, i have tried on WM5/WM6, works perfectly on them. People usin' WM2/WM3, can try at their own risk and lemme know the compatibility. It is not exactly iPhone interface, but the basic Slide and Touch Navigation works perfectly fine without any hassles. On top of that, people like me, usin' windows mobile with the same good old interface would surely enjoy this change.
And sorry, for not being able to post this application here. Some account related issue, is there. That's why i am posting it on rapidshare. You can PM me, if you face any difficulty in downloadin' i'll e-mail it to you.

Been hiding under a rock much? We've known about this since it launched on new yaers day. Besides, why would anyone download your CAB, which could contain anything at all; when they can get the official client from www.pointui.com?

I fail to see how being mean to this guy is going to solve anything fellas. Not EVERYONE is a freakin' geek like us. Give him a break.

Did you know they're coming out with a phone that can play .mp3 files?
I've heard they're working on one with a camera on the back.

I think you could stay more polite here! Do you want to go through 500+ pages to find a post when you are looking for it then go on supporting double posting! In my opinion this is kind of double posting beacuse everywhere in this forum posts concerning PointUI are popping up and on each page you'll find the string 'PointUI' at least one time!
Yes, not all of us breathe PPC Tech, but like I said everyone will notice that this app is already known when entering this forum.

I thought I'd put your statement to the test! On entering this forum, there is only this thread which mentions PointUI, therefore unless one is used to the ways of how forums work and this one in particular, only a search would have revealed what you are saying.
Sometimes people come across things in different places and believing they have found something amazing, they just rush over to xda devs to share the good news.
More experienced ones are more inclined to do an internal search first.
Whilst I agree that you are right about being more polite here...apologies to anyone offended, you might take some time out to remember what it's like to be a newbie at something or less experienced than someone else.
Someone makes an innocent mistake by 'who's standards?' but it is very helpful to others who happen to be browsing.
Anyway nuff said. I'll keep quite for now, but if anyone ever flames me like that, I'm sure to speak up.

I don't know I am so bored these days. There's nothing new for me anymore and I rarely flash my ROM cause I don't like Touch Flo or Windows Mobile.

Windows Mobile 7 Upgrading Forum?

Would it maybe make sense to have a WM7 Upgrading forum under the HD2 forum?
That way all these WM7 threads could go in there, leaving this place alot less cluttered!

great idea, then a moderator can just "delete all" once per day and we can forget all about the wingeing whiners.

Dude it's due to be released in about 8 months Good idea though, since quite a few posts have been popping up, all discussing the WMP7S...Most probably it will be done when the time is right. For now, enjoy WinMo 6.5.X since that's what we're running at the moment
Ps. Don't expect any WMP7S roms just yet!

I just did a quick count of the WM7 threads, and there are a total of 5 (including this one) in the first 5 pages of discussions. That is 5 out of a hundred discussions. I think that to call it "cluttered" is a overstatement.
Community based forums will alway have a wide range of topics discussed. Having 5 in 100 devoted to a current and hot topic is not so bad. I think we should be celebrate that there is a forum where HD2 owners can discuss a range of topics.

i'm an Atlanta Falcons fan. They did the same thing with the Michael Vick fiasco.
Created a board for Vick posts. The moderators deleted it when he was cut.

It doesn't justify its own section and five out of ten thousand would be too many threads given the hysterical and ill informed drivel that forms the bulk of those threads.
So little is known about WPS7 at present yet already we appear to have 'experts' on the subject passing off wild speculation as fact:
It's great
It's rubbish
We will get an upgrade
We won't get an upgrade
It's toxic to fish and other small aquatic creatures
It's a portal to the underworld and at midnight on December 4th 2011 Kraal the Redeemer of Souls will appear and devour our livers with a nice chianti and some farva beans...
The interest is understandable but perhaps waiting until we get some hard data might be better because as of right now, what we actually know categorically and for sure is pretty close to nothing...

No WM7 for the HD2 - What a shame

Just been reading that Microsoft have confirmed that the hardware spec for the HD2 does not meet the req for WM7.
"Joe Belfiore just told us that the HD2 is "not compliant with the Windows Phone 7 Series hardware specifications," which should end any of the lingering doubt that's clouded this issue since MWC"
I'm sure some of the smart folks here will change that though

oh, did not see that. And I do not care for the UI on my phone. Makes no diff to me what it looks like. hd2 is a great phone, software for it is crap, I think win7 will change this.

HTC HD2 Arrived today..

OK I have received my new HTC today but would like to know which is the best rom to put on it as well as any extra that bit of kit the should be a must have on this phone.

there are many great ROMS made by good "chefs", i will refer to you some of them..KUMAR LEO PREMIUM & ARTEMIS & CLEANEX & LEOPARD & LEON BUT IM currently USING VALKYRIE.

@goku86, is there a major major difference between the roms in regards to speed and being user friendly, and how long have you had Valkyrie on your HD and does it serve you well?

it's my first day with valkyrie, so cant really tell, but instead i will recommmend with "great respect to the chefs of the previous roms i wrote", kumar's leo premium. Really stable and fast rom..
