Are they ever going to fix Sprint TV?

I like the app but I would love it if they could fix the audio sync. I'm using a verizon app on my evo and it streams live tv perfectly. Come on sprint, this is the only thing i'm slightly dissatisfied with.

Their NFL Live app, It streams nfl network perfectly, then I try to watch a sprint channel and it bugs me now. lol

I'd like to know this as well. I had the NFL app, but yesterday it started saying that I wasn't a Verizon user, and then closed itself.

They also need to make it able to full-screen on the EVO....

Sprint tv is pretty terrible, I don't even bother with it. Live tv and tv.com are both better but I don't watch them much either.

I actually found it .. took a little bit of digging but it works on my EVO.

1. Is the port of VZ's NFL Live a free app?
2. Sprint TV has always been a joke. I recall back when I had a Treo 700p...the audio and video quality is about as good as it is today on my EVO, and that Treo was released in '06, and wasn't Rev-A capable.

Blocking of Content

Ok I just bought a couple of these phones for my teenage kids. I was wondering since they can get on here and stream videos if there was a way to block any and all or most of Adult content like you can on the computer?

An android or any smartphone is not suitable for anyone under 18 anyways.

It should be possible to modify the HOSTS file to accomodate for adukt sites... but as far as any other content it'd be an uphill battle

Face it, if you're actually going to give your KIDS anything more than a dumbphone, I'd be more concerned about them doing worse than looking at porn. You probably actually think that if they want porn, there's no way to get it on the computer since you have "filtering software" isntalled, right? Believe me, there's ways around ALL of those. Just go take a look at the Flash cookies. Also,Bing.

take the battery out? then your kids can pretend.

If they really want to wank they'll find a way. Don't get paranoid. Just tell then you have monitoring software on their phones and that should put them at bay until they register at XDA and realize it was a lie.

If you are that worried about it, you can try MobiStealth which is an Android monitoring (spy) software. I have not used it and cannot say it works but it is the only thing that I have found.

Doesn't sprint have a option to filter the internet on certain lines for children? I thought I saw a check box somewhere in the account section on the sprint website.

Sprint announcement tonight ..

I just hope the people who are overly complaining stay that way. One thing that blows my mind is when someone complains before they even see the product. Now don't get me wrong I know everyone want a evo 2, but nothing wrong with sprint trying something new out. And to those threatening to leave your contract because of this, lol like people haven't said this before and got raped with no lube by the next carrier you went to - give me a break.
[update] This phone is horrid, i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and i guess you can't do that with sprint (my first time signing up with them in sept ember), oh well wait for MWC.

Sprint via Twitter update said it will not be live streamed. But said to watch their Twitter as it'll be updated as the event progresses.

that would be a first but they can't even get Qik to work right. They need to enhance the service before bringing some phone with a hinge into the mix. EVO's screen is big enough WTF am I gonna really do with 2 and 3D don't ever go there. I need a 3D phone like I need a hole in my head. I can put my foot on a hinge while Sprint wears some 3D glasses and kickem in the face. This is upsetting.

What you need is some basic punctuation and grammar lessons. QIK works just fine for me. every time i've fired it up, it works exactly as described. as for the rest of it, is there any point to getting bent outta shape by an announcement that hasn't happened?

No one, not even you knows the full truth of what's coming out. So don't go beating on rumors and talk cause that just puts you in the middle of crowd. Hell, even if it does turn out to be 3d dual screen and what ever else the rumors report, you've got no idea of the specs. That's our favorite report. So hold your pants on. We've got what, another hour to go? Or some crap like that.

You have a point. Even if it is 3D(which i'm NOT a fan of) what if it's some 2ghz beast-mode phone?? All we gotta do is wait for the community here to get there hands on it. i'm sure it'll be usable in no time!

Well just an FYI.. the plan im switching to on Verizon is only $10 a month more than what im paying on Sprint. And I get LTE inside my house so its worth it to me.

Google Support Knows Phone Is Rooted (I did not tell them.)

I was dealing with an app issue and app store support point out that my phone was rooted and they do not support that. I do not know if I should be concern that they snooped my phone or not but it does seem like a pretty big privacy issue.
It may be no big deal but I was quite surprised. What is your take on this?

Think Google made android for humanitarian purposes?
Foo they reading you texts and emails and listening in on yo calls!

knowing your phone is rooted, for support purposes, is not the same as having access to your personal data. at all.
can't expect to have your car fixed without opening the hood, ya know?
and this is the risk we take when rooting, not getting "official" support.

No biggy, the app is RootExplorer. Its just associated with the wrong email account. I figured this out myself and they said that there currently is no way of changing the associated account with a particular purchase...so if you buy it with the wrong account you are out of luck.
He did say they are 'seriously' looking at add the ability to move an app to another account.

I would love to be able to gift an app, i would buy RUA for everybody

It could be as simple as the fact that you have downloaded multiple root only apps. It's kind of a giveaway.
I'm surprised that you're surprised by the fact that Google knows your business. If you take a look at the permissions for the apps that come installed on the Evo stock, you'll find that they all have every permission out there... or almost.
Big brother's always watching. I used to care, now I've just learned to live with it. I know it's strange, but I don't really care if someone sells my browser history for marketing purposes. Meh.

Rocket bunnies is freaking awesome I swear by it! Its like the new angry birds but with cute Buck tooth bunnies lol. RUA has gotten a tad bit boring for me. Im hoping adult swim release way more games on android pretty soon.

that will never happen... those companies are very happy right now however. the patents from motorola secure androids future against attacks from microsoft and apple, which is great for companies like samsung and HTC who are heavily invested in android
