question on T-moible 3G - myTouch 3G, Magic General

i was interested in getting a HTC Magic since it has more memory than my tocuh 3G will HTC magic work in 3G more in US
thanx for your feedback

The new Mytouch 3G with 3.5mm jack (aka Mytouch 1.2) has the increased amount of memory, so if you get that you should be good to go with T-Mobile's US 3G.

3G in US on Touch3G

Hey guys-
I al looking into getting a touch 3G as I loved my original Touch.
I noticed on HTC site that the HSPDA is Asia and Europe only.
i have ATT&T and I know I can use it on Egde/GPRS mode, but will I be able to use it in HSPDA/3G in the states???
If I can not get HSPDA or 3G it's basically like lmy old Touch which did not do 3G.
Anyone using it with ATT&T in the states that gets 3G/HSPDA??
thanks
I believe that ATT & T uses 2100mhz for it's 3g/hspda.

unlocked htc mytouch

i was just wondering if anyone had one...im thinking about getting one (i have ATT) and i know that it won't have 3g network....is it a huge difference or if it would be super slow
depends how much you use the internet... I have a blackberry 8900 and I hate using it for anything internet related because of the lack of 3g. which thats something to remember its not just websites, gps because its gotta load maps and apps that report back stuff like that
id suggest you just kill the 3g on your phone and use only the regular connection for a bit, if it doesn't bother you than your good
as pack said, my phone is not unlocked but I rarely use the 3G ... I bought it when I was on leave to NYC ... I didn't even thought about turning the 3G on, EDGE works fine for me, and I only check websites when I got Wi-Fi nearby ... and I am okay with the slow responses from FB n MySpace apps (once again, personal preference).
Look into getting a Rogers branded HTC Magic from Canada. They use the same 3G as AT&T, UMTS 850/1900. It should get 3G in the US. It also has 288MB of ram, the Mytouch only has 192MB of ram.

Call T-Mobile. They're overhauling a lot if their antannae to 3G within the next 3 months and may be hitting the ones near you. Outside of that there's nothing you can do short of cancelling your contract and switching carriers.

Sooo,I'm kinda confused...

I been seeing lately the the new Mytouch HD has also been dubbed the Mytouch 4G which kinda makes no sense to me. My Mytouch Slide picks up the HSPA± signal alost everywhere I go (except in my house of course :l ) and from what I've read that's the only, techicnally 4G network, that T-mo plans to put out. So the MTHD being called the MT4G seems silly. Unless there's something I don't know,in which one of the great members of XDA could fill me in on =D

While you can use the HSPA+ network and will see some boost, the Slide isn't made to handle the full bandwidth available to it. If you were to use it and the 4G side be side, I'm sure you'd see a considerable difference.
We can use towers that are rated 4G but will never reach the 21.1 Mbps. I thought hspa+ was their high end 4G, and standard 4G was just hspa. I only say that because UTMS is 3G, not hspa.
Except HSPA and HSPA+ are really expanded 3G services. 4G is LTE and Wimax. It's just that sprint's wimax is so slow.

Well if you want to be technical, as it stands neither LTE or WiMax are 4G compliant.
Remember, when the iPhone 4g (or was it 3g?) came out, it was ONLY a name, it did not mean it supported 4g (or 3g) speeds...

Agreed wholeheartedly! No service provider has 4g and out of them all Tmobile has the fastest data connection. If you are in a hspa + area.

My phone stay on this speed. After I flashed that new rom with 2.2.1 I've had this "H" for a long time. That's the only network I get unless I'm in my house then I get edge coverage lolz.
send from mytouch 3g bruh
