EPE54B img - Nexus One General

Is there an EPE54B radio img we can flash? Can't find one. Using modaco's desire ROM.

http://android.modaco.com/content/g...-online-kitchen-optional-root-insecure-himem/
Link right before the kitchen.

Just keep in mind that the radio won't do anything really, but the E54B radio lib files will help with reception. So copy libaudio.so, libhtc_ril.so and libril.so from that update for an improvement.
So I guess you can get the radio from here:
http://www.androidspin.com/download...Official_Nexus1_Radio_Update_4.04.00.03_2.zip
And I made an update for you that will copy the important libs for you:

so do you have the ERE27 libaudio.so, libhtc.ril and libril.so files to share? i'm using Modaco Alpha 12 but get much better performance with the ERE27 radio vs. ERE36B. given your zip package setup, do these have to flashed via recovery or can you push to the /system/lib directory? thanks!

So if I already be flashed the 54b radio on the desire rom, I should still use that zip youre posting?

Yes, that zip has the files that will improve your reception. Some ROM's already have them.

So I updated the with that file and now I don't see the Edge/GRPS/3G/H symbols on the notification bar.
Data isn't working either.
How would I go about making an update.zip to put back the original files? I zipped them up but it sais verification failed.

just push the files from the original rom you flashed.

I managed to figure out how to sign the update.zip files

Does that file work for CM 5.0.4.1?
Edit: Nevermind, I pushed them individually and it seems to be working. I can't say if I have better reception yet or not.

In the new Sprint test ROM which file is the radio?

I've searched a bunch, but I can't find the answer. I usually flash from an sd card and I wanted to know which file is the radio image. Is it Special_4350.nbh or is it within the RUU_signed.nbh? Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
I'm not sure but someone has already posted download links on ppcgeeks to the rom, radio and extended rom.

Yes, I saw Vetvito's post there. I installed the new ROM by downloading the windows installer pkg, unzipped it and put the two .nbh files on my SD card. It seems it updated with no problem. What I am wondering is if I omitted any important files other than the new .prl. Are the dll files necessary when flashing by SD or are they included in the .nbh files?

Can't Update Radio

Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have, well look at my sig...
Do i need the CRB43 ADP instead of US to update radio. I keep getting a "can't open e/sdcard/update.zip (bad) message.
It should update. Maybe it was a bad download. I would download it again and try it.
Well, I just flashed back to 1.51 CRB43 ADP. I am going to see if it works...Thanks for the input.
Downloaded it again...Extracted...renamed update.zip...still no go.
Same error as before " cant open update.zip....(bad)".
Hmmmmmm...any other suggestions.
(im now adp 1.51 FYI)
Download it again.
Do NOT extract anything.
Just rename the downloaded file to update.zip.
So, I got it to work....I used winrar to make my update.zip instead of the windows zip and BAM worked 100%..
Glad it worked for you, but extracting these .zip files is unnecessary.
All that is required is renaming them to update.zip.
If you extract then re-zip them, you risk screwing up your new zip if the directory structure isn't preserved. You're just adding an extra step to the whole process that doesn't accomplish anything.
Thanks for the reply..
I just updated the SPL and everything went well. Though, now after the flash its stuck on G1 Screen...uh oh
I doubt it's related, but who knows?
Remove your sdcard, put it in your computer, copy a fresh SPL update.zip, try that.
If that doesn't work, remove your sdcard, put it in your computer, put your build's update file on the card (remember, don't rezip the file ... just rename the downloaded file to update.zip), WIPE and reflash.
You don't have to reflash the spl, you just have to reflash your rom. The spl overwrites the rom, thats why you got to reflash it.

FixFlash – ROM Flash Verify and Repair Tool *MUST use utility IMO*

This was featured on the XDA Homepage a few days ago, but the developer just confirmed that it should work for any flashable zip, and *should* work on any phone.
Thought I would give the heads up here.
Could fix random Force Closes/Bootloops that people get even when they had wiped multiple times before flashing a new ROM.
Original Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765989
Edit: See post 3 in this thread for my results.
This should save a few headaches, but I think most issues are caused with people not wiping....this wont be able to fix that.
Well, I finally put this utility to the test and here are my results.
Wiped Data/Cache/Dalvik, flashed BakedSnack 1.6 and immediately ran FixFlash. Here's my output:
Code:
E:\aEVO\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb shell sh /sdcard/FixFlash.sh
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

3. Copy both the original .zip file and the extracted folder of the .zip to the root of your sdcard
???? what is the extracted folder? theres multiple folders inside a rom zip?

Say your rom is BakedSnack1.6.zip, extract the contents to a folder called BakedSnack1.6 and place that folder on the root of your sdcard.
Make sense? Not sure how else to explain it.

[Q] Only 3 files in I5800XXJPM.zip

HI I have downloaded the I5800XXJPM.zip firmware but it has only 3 files in it. Now i am confused how to flash it in Odin. I have flashed earlier using both the method like different files and one package but this file is different. I think i need to make a tar file before.
files that is under the zip file is: factoryfs.rfs, modem.bin and zImage.
Please suggest me the right way.
probably you open the tar file, those three files are inside the tar.

Can u give me a link so that I download the right file. Make sure its XXJPM coz i will then flash to Indroid 4.1, currently i m in XXJPF.

1% battery mod is working only with fugumod 2.4 kernals!!
what you want to know about themes../??
Just go to themes section download any theme you like..
read all the instructions..
generally there are two to three files which you have to replace with old files in system/framework folder.
some have themed apks also.
you have to replace them with old apks in system/app
that should be helpful!!
PS A thanks buttob do exist there if u dont know !!
The missing files were logo.png and cache.rfs.
I think that missing logo.png is not big deal, but I don't know what cahe.rfs is supposed to do.

[Q]

Hi. I've always thought about this. Some people say something like this
Copy the file aroma-config and updater-script from META-INF\com\google\android\ from 3.1.1 rom.zip to 3.1.2 zip to the same path. He will say v3.1.1 during installation, but he will install 3.1.2 and you can select CLK again.

And what does it mean? When I edit zip file, it doesn't work. Is there a program for this?

Looks like the update (the zip) mentioned in the quote disables a feature on the HD2 that was present before that update. See here - shouldn't you have included that link
hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166948&page=1286
To prevent disabling the feature, the quote-poster advises to run the update with the updater script (the script that does the actual updating) replaced by an old version. To do that, download both update versions and replace the mentioned files mentioned in the post in the newest version. Rezip and apply the update.
Not sure if this is a wise thing to do if you don't know more about updating, restoring etc... At least backup your data.
No, it's just when I zip it after update, cwm doesn't want to install this and sees as damaged rom.
But 7-zip can change files in archive no need to unzip all. So it works
