Thanks to all at this site, your help and professionalism attitude towards helping was highly appreciated.
My company supplied vx6800 died a sudden death (usb port busted) last weekend and I've just been told that i am getting Blackberry Curve 8330 on the Verizon network.
Again thanks and good luck in all endeavors.

Hi, I was wondering the best place to get the Magician with English (or flashable to English) ROM in the US. Also, if anyone knows if it would still be cheaper to buy from Mobilejoker, but if so how much would Sales Tax/VAT be?
Thanks a bunch!!
If you don't want to deal with VAT/overseas shipping, www.expansys-usa.com has them...
You could trythis guy. He seems to have good feedback over at howardforums, and the best price I've seen.[/url]

Wow, a Jam for $609 without a service plan, or $489 with a new T-Mobile service plan. Nice!
Apparently, he's got a lot of them
Does anyone know if his customer service is good? Does he respond well if the customer runs into problems?
He's had nothing but good things said about his service posted by others on HowardForums.com His price (US$609, cheaper if you activate a new T-Mobile contract) is good, too!
edit: replaced 'compliments' with 'good things said'

For a second, I thought I read complaints.
Wow, that'd be bad.
"On HowardForums, people have said lots of good things about him". There we go.
Good, it wasn't just me, the two words look alike
I can vouch for David since I bought a PDA2K from a guy who bought it from him and he still provides support and emails to me. He also started a PDA2K Yahoo group to help people out. I am also reviewing an imate JAM for Geek.com that he loaned to me after letting me make a safety deposit.
He really is great and has some good prices on the gear.
I'd be wary of any of those "sellin' em outta the back of my truck" kind of people... Just my $.02
Just to let you guys know. The K-JAM is in and I have mine! The Inkino guys on Tottenham Court Road, Central London, were once again first off the block. I had left a message with them to contact me as soon as they came in. True to their word they rung me even before they had booked in the delivery. One frantic cab-ride later I was there and playing with my K-JAM. Too early to give feedback but it is good and met my raised expectations. Will keep you posted if I hit any brick walls. Would appreciate any postings of findings by others.
had mine since sat. still playing with it tho
Of course you gotta tell us how much you paid! Also, contract or no contract?

you could have saved your cab fare, i work in an office in tcr, you could have sent me the money, i would have picked it up for you and tested it for a few days
I bought mine from the boys at Inkino. Must say, I'm very impressed with the level of service. Kind, informative and efficient.
Many thanks to them and I woudl recommend them anytime.

Different keyboard layout
Hey KillyTheBid and those of you that posses a wizard. Is it possible to change keyboard layout e.g. to swedish, french or something else, just like in windows?
Thanks
Johan
for the sub forum. my titan should be here by wednesday!
thank you for saving my time.
Awesome! Now, if only we can get some ROM-cooking going.
Very cool, thanks for the subforum.
Woot! I was wondering when they'd add the Mogul on here.
Hey thanks for adding the forum, guys.
Not to nitpick, but you might want to change the forum description, as the Titan is not sold as the "MDA Vario III" (though the Kaiser will be, through T-Mobile Germany). The Titan is sold through Sprint as Sprint Mogul by HTC in the U.S. (holla!), and through Telus as the HTC P4000 in Canada.
It's likely going to be picked up and sold by Verizon in the U.S. as the XV6800, but honestly... Verizon? Really? Really?
Nobody with a brain uses Verizon.
Thanks for adding this...
thanks for this one guys! been waiting for it
great job adding this one yall!!
Definitly Appreciated
Thanks to the Mods for the playground!!
yea great job for adding the subforum lol
why would you post to a 2 year old thread
Well it finally happened. My G1 has finally taken the BIG plunge. It's totaled. Screen is cracked and won't even come on. I was looking for an outing for months now however. With two lines and my girlfriend already breaking hers, I was paying out the yin yang for service with T-Mobile and I also knew for months that with the company I work for I get a discount with every carrier but T-Mobile. My G1's will be missed. I do wish I could keep them and continue to follow the development that has carried the phone this far when everyone said there was no way. If I somehow get the screen fixed I will probably continue to do so.
However for now, I have ordered two new EVO's and I am switching my carrier to Sprint. I get a 15% discount on my bill every month and I am very excited with it's developing community and am looking forward to moving on with android.
I wish the developers and followers of the G1 the best and continue doing awesome work for such a great phone.
Thanks all.
So, my upgrade came last Friday, a day before the Tmo Android giveaway.
I have 2 Amaze 4g phones on the way, for the cost of shipping...$5.95.
I kept my OG plan, because it's practically identical to the 2 lines @ $49.99.
Thank you to the sd droid development teams, you took my terrible phone, and made it perfect.
And to everyone who irritated me, bah.
It's been, interesting in the HD2 forums and boy, it was craziness during the heyday!
I will now put the mighty Leo to rest, and store it as a backup device.
Toodles everyone!
lol bump, found this in another buh bye hd2 thread...
click
i win!
What a great device!
Worth the wait, and the phones were free (tmo messed up...in my favor).
Unfortunately the area tower is running at 3g speeds currently?
Bummer.
So my Leo is faster.
Leo +1
Amaze :'(
I also upgraded my phone today as part of TMOUSA's President's Day sale. My store was out of Amaze 4Gs, so I got the Sensation 4G instead. I already miss my HD2, and I would keep using for other things but I've had a shattered screen for longer than I can remember and now my touchscreen is responsive. Grr...I'm hoping to find a cheap fix for it. But that's neither here or there.
I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude to all the devs who turned a laggy, battery-hogging brick to a phone I would put toe-to-toe with even the iPhone 4s. I don't have the most money to invest in $500 phones, so you (and T-Mobile awesome sales) have let me experience that smartphone awesomeness in an affordable manner. My many thanks to you all!

If it were not for the ability to install android, my HD2 would be broken by now...
