Moving on Now. - HD2 General

So, my upgrade came last Friday, a day before the Tmo Android giveaway.
I have 2 Amaze 4g phones on the way, for the cost of shipping...$5.95.
I kept my OG plan, because it's practically identical to the 2 lines @ $49.99.
Thank you to the sd droid development teams, you took my terrible phone, and made it perfect.
And to everyone who irritated me, bah.
It's been, interesting in the HD2 forums and boy, it was craziness during the heyday!
I will now put the mighty Leo to rest, and store it as a backup device.
Toodles everyone!

lol bump, found this in another buh bye hd2 thread...

i win!

What a great device!
Worth the wait, and the phones were free (tmo messed up...in my favor).
Unfortunately the area tower is running at 3g speeds currently?
Bummer.
So my Leo is faster.
Leo +1
Amaze :'(

I also upgraded my phone today as part of TMOUSA's President's Day sale. My store was out of Amaze 4Gs, so I got the Sensation 4G instead. I already miss my HD2, and I would keep using for other things but I've had a shattered screen for longer than I can remember and now my touchscreen is responsive. Grr...I'm hoping to find a cheap fix for it. But that's neither here or there.
I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude to all the devs who turned a laggy, battery-hogging brick to a phone I would put toe-to-toe with even the iPhone 4s. I don't have the most money to invest in $500 phones, so you (and T-Mobile awesome sales) have let me experience that smartphone awesomeness in an affordable manner. My many thanks to you all!

If it were not for the ability to install android, my HD2 would be broken by now...

Anyone leaving an iPhone (Any Gen) for Evo

I've only owned the iPhone 3G. I didn't want to be the first to jump on the 2G because I thought it was asinine for Apple to release their first phone on 2G when we already had 3G. I loved the iPhone but the main gripes about it were lack of customization. I did the whole jailbreak thing and got all these cool apps but with Winterboard and themes you'd run into crashes, apps just rebooting, etc.
I mainly switched because I'm pissed that the new iPhone will be minimal at best but yet many people will flock outside on launch day to get the device. I've owned Nokia phones with video recorders and a FLASH! It's frustrating to see a company nickel and dime people with *Magical & Revolutionary Features* that have existed on phones for almost a decade.
The only thing Apple has going for them is the App Store but hopefully Android will catch up and people will see the light.
I'm going from paying $250/mo with AT&T to $120-$140/mo with Sprint. I've since sold my iPhone two weeks ago and I can honestly tell you I don't miss it. I"m using a temporary crappy Blackberry 8900 for now until launch day.
I am giving up my 3GS for the EVO.
I have coverage issues with AT&T.
Like you, I am saving a bunch of money, even with the EVO 4G $10 surcharge.
I also am jailbroken. I admit the iPhone is an amazing phone and when you jailbreak it, its even better. I came from WinMo, had a Tilt and with xda-developers modding your phone is a completely different experience than jailbreaking.
I think the only thing I'll miss is the 32GBs of space to carry my music but then again, my iphone will just become an ipod touch and I am ok with that.
I pick the EVO over the next iphone for screen size, Android (long live an open OS), plan pricing, and overall awesomeness lol.
I am curious what the new iphone is going to have though.
Were going to test out the Evo's, and so long as it has good battery life, Sprint data speeds are = to AT&T and the phone isn't too big we will make the switch. Otherwise we will be selling our 3gs's for the new iphone hd's.

Why not just get a 16GB or 32GB micro SD for the Evo?
I have the incredible on one account from client that pays for my service and phone.
I have AT&T with the everything plan $120.00 a month. No tethering. IPHONE 3GS - jailbroken 3.13 - all sorts of stuff.
Not a big app person. I use Timewerks and thats about it as far as a paid app. I have never paid for anything else.
I already enjoy android so I will enjoy it 30% more with the larger 4.3" screen
Froyo 2.2 here I come. This will give it the boost without a hardware upgrade
I won't miss the Iphone. I had too many problems with mine. I am on my 5th warranty phone in less than 4 months - all lock ups/glitchy. No it was not the jailbreak. two of them didn't make it outside the Apple Store. Happened while I was walking out.
I couldn't complain to get a better phone the 3GS was the best they had.
I like HTC and their innovations so far. Keep them coming.
I am leaving the iPhone. I have been a fanboy since the 3G was released. I now use a 16GB 3GS and have been watching and waiting for the phone that would make me switch. The Incredible was close, but the EVO got the job done. Just posted my iPhone for sale on my local craigslist and eBay.

You do realize that this phone accepts MicroSD cards, right?
Pre-ordered Evo last week. Sold my 3gs yesterday. Bought a hero on a sprint account for a temporary phone that allows me to test android out and see how sprint is in my area. That way I can always return my hero within the 14 day period, get my Evo, and if I hate sprint/android or both (all very unlikely) then I can cancel my sprint account, still have my AT&T account for 2 months (altho already ported my number to sprint, hopefully can port it back to AT&T if need be) and when the next iPhone is announced if it's better than evo (also highly unlikely) then I'll go with that. My 3gs netted me $281.35 at the shack so money isn't a problem with any of these phones, and I have lots of options. Can't wait until the 4th!

Leaving Iphone 32gb 3gs
I admit that I'm a phone whore. I am in between an HD2 & Iphone 3gs 32gb. I started with the original HD, but the HD2 wasn't all that great. I am just worried that the Android Market will not have enough apps to keep me occupied. Thats the main thing that I like about the Iphone. Also, the apps on the HD2 from Windows Market place seemed out dated and tired. I hope Android does a better job than Windows Mobile.
Can't wait. Defiantly going to sell my 3gs after I got to play with the Evo at the Sprint store. It should be awesome with the Everything Family Plan.

Are you serious? You could have gotten more than $300 for the 3GS. You could have gotten more if it were on 3.1.2 software, jailbroken & unlocked. Could have fetched close to $400 if not a little more. Never sell your phone to Radioshack. Oh well it's all said and done now. BTW you can port your number back to AT&T.

more details good sir...I have a jailbroken 32GB iphone 3GS on 3.1.3.
I am aware of the 32GB SD Card myth....are there high quality ones out there? I haven't kept up since I had my tilt.
I'll definitely pick up a 32GB just have to look for a good price.
Im dumping my 3gs for the evo. I had the 2g, 3g, and the 3gs, sick of apples grasp getting tighter and tighter.
I already picked up a 16gb card for my EVO, still gotta wait until next week though. Don't know how much music i'll load, maybe only a few albums worth at any given time. Most of those 16 gigs will be for movies...gotta make good use of that kickstand!
Currently use an 8 gig card on TP2, most of it is movies running on CorePlayer.
Amazing the premium you pay to have that kind of storage with iDont.
I've been with AT&T since 2007 when the first iPhone came out. I've had the 2G and 3G, but passed on 3GS since it really wasn't much of an improvement. So now I'm switching over to Sprint, and I'm a little nervous about it due to my previous experience with Sprint during the Nextel merger/walkie talkie phase. Luckily, I have a 30 day guarantee if I decide that this beast (EVO) isn't worth crappy service. Worst case scenario, I awkwardly go back to AT&T if the iPhone HD impresses me or take up Verizon on the Incredible.

Well I did it, returned the Evo for Epic

If they do, it will be missing 4G (amongst other things) until Samsung upgrades it themselves. But I think you made a good move.
I hope you enjoy the Epic more than the Evo. Im hanging onto my Evo until i get the Epic in hand and have a day or two to play with it. If all goes as expected then the Evo will be my girlfriends phone
Good choice . I have the vibrant and I love it. Good to see another sgs phone released ...

Wel luckily I was within my 3 days of buying my evo (bought it July 30th) at best buy. So I returned it and went ahead and preordered the epic too.
So I'll just have to pay the 50+ tax difference
Can't wait til Tuesday !
Congrats on making the switch! The EVO really never did it for me. Don't like the phones accent color, Sense UI, and the layout of the capacitive buttons.
The Epic shall be EPIC!!!

This is exactly what I'm doing, except I'm just getting the Epic regardless. My girl really wants the EVO so, good for me d'.'d
Speaking off best buy basically said I was only like the 5th preorder
Man is samsung or sprint screwing this launch up? I get worried because if it flops will that mean little Dev support (custom roms) or samsung official support like software updates?
Stupid doublepost.
"The Decision"
When did you decide?
I think I decided this morning. I mean, I decided this morning I went day to day. I wake up one morning, it's this device. I wake up another morning, it's this other device. And it's a process that I felt it was I may feel like this is the best opportunity for me or not the best opportunity for me.
But this morning I woke up, had a great conversation with myself. Once I had that conversation, I think I was set.
The answer to the question everybody wants to know: What's your decision?
In this fall, this is very tough, in this fall I'm going to take my talents to Samsung and get the EPIC.
Hahaha. Wonder if there will be a letter from the Company owner of the "other device" about his decision.... LOL!

Sprint is launching the phone, not Samsung. There is only so much that Samsung can do because they have 1 phone with 4 different names and 4 different sets of features on 4 carriers.
The commercials I saw advertised the "Galaxy S" phone. Unless you're a bit of an electronics/technology fan, then you won't put 2+3 together to realize that the Epic/Vibrant/Captivate/Fascinate are variants of the Galaxy S.
Besides that, certain other carriers like Verizon have done a decent job at branding their smartphone line.
I pulled out my Vibrant last week to show it to someone and they asked me if it was a Droid phone. Two choices:
1. Answer "no" and take 3 minutes to explain that 'droid' is a brand name and what android is and where my phone fits in.
2. Answer "yes" and avoid boring that person with a bunch of information they won't remember anyway.
Even though this phone is nicer than the EVO, I don't see it selling very big. Sprint customers are generally with Sprint because they are cheaper than Verizon and AT&T. The $250 price and +$10 "4G" fee for having the phone will keep people away.... especially since the Captivate and Vibrant are available on AT&T and T-mobile for $50 less up front, and ~$10 less per month (in t-mobile's case).
Also, the EVO just came out about a month ago or so. Its good that Sprint is getting some nice handsets, but they are going to price themselves out of their niche if they aren't careful. I expect the Epic to drop to $199 within 2 weeks of release.... I think they are just trying to squeeze early adopters
Don't they have to wait 30 days before dropping the price? Otherwise all the "early adopters" will become 2-week adopters as they en-masse return the phone and buy it again at the lower price.

One more day left..

For my Sprint 30 day guarantee. Tomorrow is the last day I can return my Evo and walk away without a termination fee. Im coming from Tmobile and have used just about all their phones and all iphones, and the Evo holds its own. I love the screen size, and its build quality. But the main thing ive liked is the 3g coverage, its no where near as fast as Tmobile in my area, but i do alot of highway driving and get 1mb plus everywhere. With Tmobile once i started getting away from the city it would drop to edge. I guess ill go play with tmobiles new Mytouch 4g and make my decision there. I just sold the g2 i had which i hated, but I still own my Vibrant and iphone 4 so i could always go back.
But so far what I Like:
Screen size!!!!!
Build quality!
Dual Flash
3g Coverage
Development support.
What I dont like:
Super amoled looks wayy better.
3g is slower but still fine (Evo= 1mb+ to Vibrant=5mb downloads)
Graphics Suck. Live wallpaper slows it down, and 3d gaming is barely playable
Sprints Customer service is no where near as good as Tmobiles.
Oh yeah after a talk with sprints retention departmnet, They waived my actication fee, and provided me with a credit of $50 since I mentioned the Evo could be acquired online for $150, just in order to keep my service. And right at the end when I mentioned I would continue to think about it, the rep offered me a $10 credit every month for the rest of the contract (24months). This would kick in on my next billing cycle.
My 27% discount would also kick in next bill, making my total bill $50 plus tax which is still a little more than if id return to tmobile
Kinda hard to argue with those discounts, not a bad deal right there.
But I can't understand how you like AMOLED screens more, YUCK! They always look odd to me, too blue or too vibrant and kind of pixel-y? They are more readable in some situations but still I think they look awful.
Not gonna lie... i really like the new myTouch. I am a fan of sense... also, hspa+ rocks in my area, and gsm is easier on battery than cdma. Add to that our wimax radios... lol, still love my evo though...
Is say they earned your business, man that makes me think I need to complain more..lol
The ten dollars off every month would more then compensate for the cost of the phone its self.

After having the Evo I just dont see how i can ever own anything smaller than a 4.3in screen. Ill more than likely stick with The evo untill sprint or another carrier releases a highend 4.3in that isnt lock down. I do love the phone, just wished it could handle graphics better.
With the discounts im getting and the coolness of the Evo ill probably stick to Sprint for now unless the mytouch4g blows me away, which at 3.8in I dont think it will.
Now the Nexus S/2 could be interesting.
I was happy getting a 23% discount from --removed by mod--
I am also of the opinion that you have way too much time on your hands. For someone who is trying to drive their price down to nothing, you sure have a lot of the more recent phones, that you clearly could have sold to make up for any cost of having a phone in general.
While I am also a former T-mo customer, I gave them my money for 10 years, but honestly I don't think they are offering the best phones this year. As for plans, everyone I know can't touch my 4G speeds. As for customer service, I think Sprint has done a pretty good job with you.
If your just here to get attention, then I'd recommend moving on to the (Insert Next Best Phone Name) forum. The EVO on Sprint 4G clearly is the winner. If you don't have 4G then I can understand your dilemma, but still I highly doubt that you have a T-mo Talk/Text/Data for less than $50. Hell, its probably not less than $70 if your including insurance on your phones.
Good luck.

First off, nothing wrong with having all the latest and greatest phones out, it's by far the best way to find out which phone you personally like best. If I could afford it I'd do it too.
Second, evo is hardly the winner. All phones have their downfalls and can be considered better than others in their own right.
My nexus can be considered better than your evo for a number of reasons.
1. Google owns android. Nexus is google's baby. It is also a developers phone.when android releases froyo, gingerbread, etc. who is the first to get it? Me. Have fun waiting months for yours to update, or for some samsung owners, possibly never.
2. I'm hitting 60 fps, enjoy your 30 fps. You may have a bigger screen but can't fully enjoy it. Playing 3d games on the evo is atrocious.
3. Sprints 4g service had been highly touted this I know. But recent testing done by cnet, which I consider highly reliable and non bias; shows in NY sprints 4g getting 2-3mb whereas tmobiles hspa+ getting 5-6mb and it's not even considered true 4g lol but it doubled sprints. Now of course mileage will very.
Don't get me wrong, evo is a great phone. it's like having a portable theater in your pocket. It took me about three weeks of intense research comparing top phones on all carriers to reach a decision. I was hesitant to get the nexus considering how old it is, released in january. But it still using the same processor as many off the newer phones including evo, the 1ghz snapdragon. Yes your chip has been updated but mines still faster lol. And I like using a developer phone and getting updates before anyone else. Some may consider updates not that big of deal but froyo increased browser speed up to 30%, not something I'd want to wait months for to enjoy.
Oh and I have to say I love the trackball. Comes in handy for selecting text or other tight spots while browsing. I can also have it blink different colors: red for missed text, blue for missed call, green for voicemail, orange for email, purple for low battery, works for notifications as well.
It's nice having all this information without even turning on my phone.
This is officially by far the longest thing I've typed out on my nexus, got to love swype lol.
The nexus one is outdated. No matter what you say. Gingerbread is rumored to come out Nov 11 and its main feature is an integtrated video chat app. Nexi don't have a front facing camera. So right there goggles baby will be handicapped with that feature. I love the nexus a year ago when it came out but data speeds aren't nothing to brag about especially if its a matter of seconds. I think the mytouch 4G is ugly, it has to much bezeling on the side. A trackball is not needed when you have a big a$$ screen. And super amoled screens have been known to burn-in the screens. All the features there's no other phone that has what the evo can offer.
Front facing camera
Kickstand
Unlockable
Sense (which is the next best thing to vanilla)
4g capable
Capacitive buttons
Skinny
Sexy looking phone
Your making a rant in the evo section , in perfectly happy with my evo. Of all the phones I've owned this is by the far the best. With features and functionality in account.

Yes the nexus has been out since jan that's already been stated. Thanks for that bit of info. But it still has the same processor as the evo, though an older version. Yet it is still overclocked much faster than your evo.
Front facing camera, unlockable (lol did you really list that?), htc sense (lol? Anyone can flash that), 4g, skinny (hardly, compared to other smart phones it's quiet bulky, hence the pocket theater)... All these features can be found on many phones...front facing camera is over rated I can do without. How many video calls have you made in the past month?
Trackball great for alerts I don't even have to turn on my phone to get notifications.
With that being said, I'm glad you are happy with your evo, enjoy
I actually use the front facing camera a lot. I chat with other evo and iPhone 4 users. Given the ratio its pretty thin. And what's wrong with using the same processor. You want a better processor then go to Samsung galaxy s series. Good luck with the gps on there tho. Humming bird processor blows everyone out of the water. When I mean unlockable I mean the boot loader is not on lock down. And not everyone phone can flash sense, DX or D2 can't. Which are the newer phones comparable to the evo. You were seriously contemplating leaving Sprint to go with t-mobile cause of data speeds in a restricted area. Kinda of ironic cause the only thing that you sound to be proud of on the nexus is the processor speed. Processor speed don't mean **** if you don't got 3G or WiFi connection. Edge sucks on tmo and ill take Sprints 3G even tho I have the same processor as your sexi Nexi.
Scoobasteves: Evo is just as fps unlocked as nexus, that's old news.

Are you in a bad mood man? Geez.
First I never tried driving their price down, I called about possibly porting my number and what the process is. The rep was the one asking questions and was being cool about wanting me to stay. So he offered me a discount.
And yes it's cheaper for me to go back to tmobile even with my 27% sprint discount. We have had a family plan with tmobile for 8 years, so adding my line back would only be $5 and an additional $30 for Internet.
Maybe I do have to much time in my hands, but I've never complained about prices or tried to brag about my phone being the best. I understand there are always new phones coming out and thankfully I have had the ability to try out a lot of them. I just like phones and the evo is among the best I have liked, but far from being a clear cut winner. I'm not one of those guys that think my phone is the best in the world and out down every other phone, i like to try out a lot of different phones if I'm able to, and enjoy it.
I guess I'll just enjoy my Evo and it's awesome screen size.
T-Mobile is a dying company I think, they gotta step up their game. They have lost 25% of revenue compared to last year.

I was not trying to badger the OP. As a matter of fact I am a former T-mo customer and was very happy with it.
Is the reason your plan a T-mo is cheaper because you are on a family plan there and not a family plan at Sprint? If thats the case then its apples to oranges.
To the Nexus Guy. It was a very good phone and I was seriously considering it when it finally became available on a plan rate. But that didn't happen till AFTER the Evo came out. I was on the phone with T-mo monthly to find out when that would happen. They could never give me an answer. So I took the plunge and got the EVO and never looked back.
T-mo's HSPA in my area is garbage. Seven guys I work (in Tampa) with have the Galaxy, and all of them claim 2-4Mbps. I get regularly 6.5Mbps. It may get better, but it isn't right now.
Processor? Seriously dude? if thats all you got with the Nexus, then you need to sit down. Developers phone? Seriously? Ever heard of Root? Oh yeah... all of T-mo's new phones are getting lock down. FPS? Spend more time on XDA preeze. Sprint unlocked it about 2 months ago. XDA did it even longer.
Nexus is a beautiful thing. But I am sorry, it is inferior to the EVO in about every possible way.

Right Decision?

Hey guys,
I wanted the nexus one ever since it first got announced. unforunately for the first month and a half it was exclusive with tmo bands. Come around March, i heard the ATT version was released and i told myself i was gonna get it. I put up my iphone 3gs and to my surprise, nobody bit. they were all trying to trade their iphones for the nexus one att version, just like i was.
fast forward to last week, i bought a htc desire (telus, so it works with att) from a friend. It was a awesome phone, but the nexus one bug was still inside me. Everytime i would see comparison videos against the desire, i would tell myself how pretty and attractive the nexus one is. I couldnt take it anymore, so i went on ebay, searched all day today, and than right when i thought all hope was lost, one ad popped up. "never used, refurbished by HTC Nexus One ATT". I did the BIN which was 425 with 15 dollar shipping. Now selling the desire for 550ish. My question is, with tech advancing so fast these days, did i make a good investment in buying a mint att nexus one for a whopping 425? or should i have waited for the dual core phones from samsung.
be brutally honest guys. and btw, the nexus one is going to share primary phone duties with my iphone 4.
I think it's worth it. The N1 is amazing.

I agree. The N1 is still the best all rounder phone (notification lights, great GPS receiver, perfect size). Unless you play very graphic intensive games on your phone...you'll be just fine without a dual-core processor. I just feel sorry for your poor iPhone 4..you're gonna be so mad at the little things it can't do like long kinetic scrolling in the browser, lack of configurable color LED notifications, flash in the browser, ability to change to different notification sounds....
In my opinion, currently, there is not a single phone that, in overall quality, surpasses the nexus one.
It's just "pure" - no UI additions, no craziness. Just solid, beautiful phone. Oh, and it just feels so good to the touch.
There are phones that has advantages over it here and there.. but overall, N1 is still the king of the hill for me.
It sounds like you made a little money selling the desire and getting the N1 so I guess it wasn't dumb. I personally think the desire is a bit cooler looking than the nexus so I would have kept that. They're basically exactly the same, right?
I really like my nexus one. Recently the battery life has even become better on the stock rom. However if someone was about to buy it now I would tell them not to bother. The touch screen sucks — it can only detect two points and gets confused doing that, it also gets messed up when the phone warms up in my car dock. The screen is also nearly impossible to see in bright daylight.
Not sure what android phone I'd prefer though. Wish there was a galaxy s with an HTC body.

Remember that all the leaked Sammy devices are for T-MOBILE.
AT&T is in the process of switching bed partners from Apple to Microsoft. I count us AT&T users lucky that we got an AT&T banded N1 to begin with. Regardless of what the person with incredibly large hands may say about the Dell phones, the N1 is the best Android phone on AT&T and will be for some time until the next Dev phone makes its way (fingers crossed) to AT&T bands.
Until then, enjoy the BEST custom roms ever made right here at XDA. This phone gets better ever month, and next month when the customized gingerbread roms appear, it will be better again.
I totally agree my friend

Not worth it, IMHO. Once you get it, post back and let us know how you like it, and if YOU feel you got your money's worth.
I think its not worth it. Don't get me wrong it's the best phone I have ever had. All the Sidekicks (1,2,3 and lx etc.), from there to g1 (great classic) and a N900 with a few other phones.
I traded my N900 and got an nexus plus $200 bucks. best deal ever !!!!!!!
I would not sale my nexus it's is the best phone out to me. Perfect build, and feel. Googles baby you just can't beat that.
AND THE BEST COMMUNITY FOR ANY PHONE KNOWN TO MAN.
A CLASSIC THAT NEVER DIES ..... CHUCK NORRIS LOL. j/k
But, if your not happy with your choice there always someone with that same burning feeling you had to get one that will pay 500+.

Thinking About an EVO..

I was wanting to upgrade my GSM Hero to the Desire HD, but do not have the cash at the moment.. lol, sooo, my sister is with Sprint, and i was looking at the EVO 4G, and, it seems like the same phone pretty much? I was just wondering what input the wonderful people at XDA have on the EVO? thank you^^
You will get great feedback on it for sure, but how do you have the gsm hero (are you in europe) and trying to get the desire hd?
Anyways the Evo is a desire hd without the new look and without the new sense most of the stuff is the same , and is great device, is the only phone the hold me this long to get another One(I got it back in june 2010 when it came out ) and is the best android device in Sprint at the moment (sorry I hate the epic 4g) if you coming from the hero you will definetely feel it faster and better (specially cause of the processor and the big screen ) and they have offer online to get it at 150$ or maybe less on contract

I am in the U.S. and i got the GSM Hero unlocked, and was going to do the same for the Desire HD, but.. at around $450.. I decided to have my sister put me on her plan through Sprint so i could get it a lotttt cheaper, I think i read it $199 after the mail-in rebate, so.. $299, and I don't think it is bad and i would have better service than T-Mobile.. -.-; (GSM Hero isn't compatible with their 3G....)
you should look for the EVO online .. can get it even cheaper.
there is a $125 additional credit if you qualify for porting from another carrier. search for the details.
The Evo is a great phone. Giant screen, fast, smooth, efficient, excellent developer support (if you ever want to root your phone and flash stuff), it has 4g, there's a huge selection of good cases and accessories.
The bad?
Battery life
uhm
Battery life
but we're fixing that,
I figured battery life could be fixable with the right ROM etc.. Rooting it a difficult process? My Hero was crazy hard due to it being the first Android phone I touched, haha, and wouldn't the cheapest be through Spring? With the rebate and money off for the contract?

Rooting the Evo is easy as pie.
EDIT: and there's an a phenomenal development community here that is very fast, very active, and very good. The community here in this forum makes the Evo the best phone in the world, IMHO.
Nope Amazon mobile got some good offers and root is easy with unrevoked, and there is guys too, Idk but I find it easy

where you see the $99? lmao, i think i mightttt be a little tipsy, and i was gonna use unrevoked to root my girl's Incredible, but.. it seemed too easy to be true? lmao, and does that go with like, my sister putting me on her plan? lol
For what it's worth, I bought one on launch day and havent regretted it once. Even Sprint's customer service has been remarkable... which surprised me since I used them from 2000-2006 and it was always like dealing with "some guy" working out of the back of an old van...
There are now 5 Evos on our plan.

The Desire HD is like a second generation EVO. Better display (SLCD), 50% more RAM, faster/more efficient CPU, a significantly better GPU, and way more internal storage.
At this moment it'd be kind of foolish to get a EVO. The newer HTCs are better, and their "real" next generation phones are just a few weeks away from being announced. TBH, the real handicap with the EVO is it's GPU and internal storage.
Well i paid for this month of T-Mobile, so it would be a couple weeks.. and Sprint is the cheapest way for me to get a new phone due to my sister being with them already..
I had the regular hero before the evo. I was happy with both.. Hero was al ittle dated tho.
You likely gonna get a more bias opinion here than anything else... but the EVO is a great phone. Of course it's fast and smooth and all that... but what makes it stand out IMO is the outstanding dev support for it.
The custom roms here range from Sense UI, to aosp like CM, even MIUI. I never tried MIUI but as far as the other roms, most are excellent. Smooth, awesome battery.. Devs constantly updating and making tweaks.
You also have a deep theme/mod section to play around with for the evo. The only knock I can think of is it is starting to slowly become dated.. but that doesn't at all make it a bad phone.

Same here. Got it in June but the phone crapped with bootloop in Jan...called Sprint they shipped the replacement the next day. That's without the TEP...I've had best customer service experience.
