Apologies if this question has been asked already, is there a way to script my email settings [without using Microsoft MyPhone] so that I can run the script after flashing a new rom?
Thanks
This is all I could find using the search tool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639455&highlight=email+settings

Hi,
Can you post link to the program?
Gilbert
I think it will be fair, that we download the programm from the site of the developer.
So you can visit his site and register in the forum. I think he will do many updates of this small goodie, so he need some of our support. If everyone can download the proggie from anywhere else, its possible that he will not put more development power on it.
Think about it
Use this user/pass for download:

So, the author can keep track of downloads and you don't have to register...

thanks bongo user, I think you programmed a great tool. helped a lot to me even though I can't check whether hsdpa is really working because there is no specific sign (h instead of u for example) on the hermes to see whether I am in hsdpa or in normal umts.
i have downloaded the software, but have no idea as to what to do with what i have downloaded.
I unpacked the file, amd it is just a bunch of cab files... Unfortunately, I am not sure as to how to proceed from there in order to get the program to work on my Tytn...
Can anyone please help me out? I am new to pocketpc devices in general and don't know my way around yet...

Copy this cab file to your device.
run this cab file like an "EXE File.
Then it installed my App.
thankyou for the quick response... I am going to try this out and then report back
That's a nice tool.
However, I chose to remove the communications manager from the system tray, but now the battery icon is gone too, even though I have not checked that box. And I actually like the battery indicator.
Checking and unchecking the battery indicator checkbox yields no results. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry BongoUser, I just wanted to make it easy for non german speakers... you can delete the account if you want.
I also updated the wiki information with fit4cat Hermes Tweaker:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Registry
Will you be updating it when we add more registry tweaks to this page like the registryWizard guy does?
hmm... no luck...
I copied it via activesync to my documents folder on the tytn.....
When i open the file i see a bunch of little files that cannot be opened since they are not associated with any programs...
Can you please give me a step by step instruction as to getting this program working? Thanks again!
EDIT: got it! i was unzipping the file before sending it to the ppc, when i should just have sent the file over as it came

Great!
You can also have a look at Universal and Wizard registry tweaks, most of them are generic WM5 tweaks, not device specific.

Hi Bongouser..
All i had to do was to copy the file over to my documents folder in the pocket pc WITHOUT unzipping it.
I then clicked on the file in the pocketpc and it installed...
I think my problem was that i was looking for an exe file somewhere to click on to install the program..
It works great though!
I do have a question about the sound quality adjustment for the bluetooth headphones...
what is the default setting from the factory for this on the Tytn?? I am just trying to compare the different levels to the standard so that i can decide which I like best.
Thanks!

Hi
Here's a challange for all you programmers: the possibility to make the SIP change automaticly with change of programs!
(I've started this thread in the Artemis forum, that you might have a look at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318612)
FYI - The latest beta of wisbar advance 2 could do that....
Hmm, maybe I'm a bit slow, but how? I have tried to download it, but I didn't find the function. - OK, I'll try it again.
Thanks
Søren

I hope someone can come up with this program too
I'm using the Japanese IME and would like it to change to English in certain programs.

Hi all,
is there a software to backup email settings?
I dont mean just email, but only the settings.
When i try a new rom, i can save all i need using Outlook, but i have to reset all my email accounts in the new rom.
Thanks in advance
No1 knows a software for it?
I'm interested to!
Is it possible there is NO software for that??
I think email settings are store in cemail.vol file in root of memory, but I couldn't make a copy. Any help ? Thanx
It's possible that the reason for no software is that it is not good practice to restore any settings to a newly flashed ROM. It's asking for trouble and I personally prefer to input everything fresh anyway. Just to be sure!

Sashimi. There's a thread -- or more than one -- about it on XDA, but I don't have a link. I haven't used it myself, but I think it's the most powerful option.
hi every body.can someone please give me some advice to how to cook xda uc in leo rom.because i tried to cook this package without any success.thanks
XDA UC has a complete thread all to itself. Check this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562568&highlight=XDA_UC
You can check the XDA UC thread as the post before mine suggests, but that thread is very difficult to find any answers in. Believe me, I've tried.
You need to be a bit more specific about your cooking technique though if you want some help. For example, what type of kitchen are you using? If you are trying to use this package exactly as you have it posted, it needs to be with your OEMs and not your EXTs, if you're using a VK kitchen.
Also, are you able to run the XDAUC.mscr file directly from \Windows? or is it not there. If it's not there, then clearly something is wrong in your kitchen..

You you want a solid help you must give us as many information as you can ..such:
Which packages are you cooking in?
What the exact problem?
It work after a soft reset?
I dont use xda Uc but i know that it has some problems with Oobe package and RunCC, in this case you must set RunCC to make a Soft Reset after the first boot up.

some other informations here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6928618&postcount=2
and btw .......could be that you dont have Net Framework 3.5 in your rom and it is necessary for this app to run.
