ChARMeD Disassembler and Assembler

Found a post on this forum for someone looking for something like HIEW for Pocket PCs.
ChARMeD is freeware and has had this functionality since 2005, just right click and choose assemble on the instruction.
The PC Windows Version can be found at:

I've already put the programm in the same dir as the disassembler and rename my programme as test.exe,but the disassembler can't run

ok, well, I am busy rewriting charmed already, the .exe is a bit huge
should be around 300k when i'm finished and most of the problems should be solved...
if you need to edit the assembly of your file, use the PC version of charmed for now...

Please tell me how much ram your device has and maybe try a smaller .exe file

As promised there is an update for charmed,
about 150kb very stable, very neat, has an open dialog and already useful if you would like to find out what dlls a pocket pc program is using.
It only disassembles 29 lines of code, this should be fixed in the next release.

And what about the Media Hub? It has - among other features - real equaliser for bass boost and treble.
Would anybody so kind to extract it from one of the new HTC devices' ROM?
As far as I know HTC Love and Athena have it in-built.

Please someone extract the media hub from the artemis roms (pdamobiz and others froms)
For ctibor: audiomanager gives you an ipod-like interface for the songs. This mean an interface where you can have yours songs by artist,album,....and a little and very simple player which permits to play the sound chosen.

This is not working at all on my P3300. It does not install properly and just sticks itself into the Windows folder on the device, despite telling it to install on the SD card! Looking at the XML, it does not look like a "proper" install package and there are no reg entries. When you start the program, all you get is a RC Load Failed message and a blank error box!
Lets hope that HTC include a "full" version of Media Hub on the WM6 upgrade ...

Give us the cab file please so that we could find a way to get it work properly

There is a .cab file modified(Audio manager only) for all devices in the Hermes wm6 forums.

We aren't looking for the audiomanager.
We want htc media hub (which audiobooster)

Ok.On the archive i attach Audio Manager version 1.2 and a code page language.Once installed the program it needs to rename the file Windows\AudioManager.exe.0409.mui with the code appropriate of the rom lang.

Didn't test on artemis because i have trinity(don't work on it).
It should work it has been extracted from artemis rom with media hub

hi, i'm a bit confused...if i flash the dump rom to my Wizard (after changing the name), will it work right away close as to it does on the Touch, or am i missing something?
can we expect the chefs to be building from the Touch rom in the not to distant future?

Just put the file into your /windows directory of your PDA

Somewhere in the forums theres a cab with the music plugin... it is a second app...

It seems that you want to keep using multiple threads, i don't understand the idea, but if you really think this is the better way to go, keep doing that....
It's very more easy to check only one thread then two threads.
And reading all the thread is just the right way to go.
You should not open a new thread just because the original one is 10 pages or more.
You should take a look at this and get the idea:

Actually your thread (which I notice you're very protective of in a sort of "I got here first" sort of way) deals with porting the ROM/general discussion. Mr Vi's (here) deals with something he's already accomplished and supplied along the topic of stripping the ROM for all the OEM goodies. Pretty clear I think.
Nice work so far Mr Vi. This means updated version of HTC Audio for cooking.

I don't mean an "I got here first" or anything like that, and both threads have the same objective: Try to make our wizards look like the htc touch.
I don't mean to "make this look mine", i'm just trying to keep all the important information in one thread, but has i said, if you think this is the better way to go, just keep doing that.
I always work to "us" and never to "me", of course mr Vi is doing a great job, and i never said he isn't.
Maybe you mismatched my words, or i just didn't expressed myself the right way...

[APP Update 12.12.08] Commandline WeatherDatabase Editor (add new locations to TF3D)

I read on the below mentioned page that adding new cities to TF3D was really easy, and they were right,
the only problem is that i don't want to install something that I'm only going to use once

So I created my own version, which does the same as the WeatherDatabaseEditor from andreas.falke
with the exception that it requires minimal user intervention so it can be used in SDConfig.txt or similar solutions.
Also if your country is not listed it will make a new entry in the country list.
It has been tested on my MDA Compact4 (Diamond + Dutty's V1.7 Rom)
And it works like a charm, let me know what you think
I'm not sure if it will work on any other device, but because the Diamond is the first of many TF3D devices
the generic "Development & Hacking" forum seemed to be a better choice,
MODs please move this topic if you think it should be in the Diamond App's section.
Currently you'll get a popup when the app is completed, I might change this in future version(s)
Don't forget to edit locations.txt prior to running the app!
Requirements:
- CF.Net, I tested this with 3.5 not sure if it works with 2.0
How To:
1. Save/Unzip (I advise in the internal Storage) just put the files in a folder.
2. Edit locations.txt, there are already a couple locations in there, Region is optional and first line can be ignored.
3. run CmdWC3.exe
4. To be save do a softreset
To Do :
1. Remove the currently selected Cities (or atleast an option to remove them)
2. Make popup optional
3. new version which has an interface, silent operation would be done by arguments "\Storage card\CmdWC3.exe Silent"

Bepe 0.97 - Fails *
DIB Diamond v1.22 neon - works (thanks Teto )
udK Syrius HD - Failed (Fixed in V5)
* issue is twofold, it looks like they use a different layout of the manila file... working on it

I recently changed to the udK Syrius HD Rom, but CmdWC3 didn't work, so
made a new version.
My advise, First run Version 3, if this doesn't work run version 5
Restart* and you should be able to select the proper city.
At least that was what I did with the Syrius Rom.
*I just tried with restarting TF3D only and that also seems to do the trick.
Please let me know if it worked (or not) and which Rom you are using.

I added it to my list and it did work, do you have a German version rom?
if so what is the foldername of the Windows folder?
I think the App cannot find the manila files...

hi, yes i have a german version, the bepe 0.97 ROM.
The Windows Folder is called "Windows", also standard.
but your cab .exe file is in the internal 4GB Storage, called "Interner Speicher" in german.

The internal Storage naming sholdn't be an issue, I think it has to do with Bepe's rom, the orriginal idea (and application) has the same issue

which one are you using premium, basic or lite?
I know TLR has tweaked TF3D to be uninstallable (whatever that may mean)
so there are some diffrences..
Could you check if you have the 2330fc3c_manila and _2330fc3c_manila (in \Windows folder)?
could be that they are hidden...
Just so i have it right, the entry does not show up in TF3D...right?
Also could you post the 2330fc3c_manila file?

Small update, I've checked bepe 0.97
it seems that he's using a slightly different version of 2330fc3c_manila
which doesn't have the Countries listed, also
the application cannot change the properties of the file to be able to write to it...
Checking if the Countries are mentioned is not the problem, fixed that already
it is setting the file overwritable thats the issue..
I'm sorry but i don't see a solution besides manually copy pasting a already fixed 2330fc3c_manila & _2330fc3c_manila to the windoes folder...

I can post it but it could very well be my user error. I know that when listing cities in the U.S. the go in a little diffrently on all of the Accuweather programs. How is your command line program set up to recieve the US cities and I will try that first.

The setup is like
<Country>,<Region>,<City,<AccuweatherCode>
Code:
Netherlands,noord-holland,laren,EUR|NL|NL008|LAREN

Not sure how/where you would get the data, maybe this helps:

You could name the country aaaaa so it will be the first one that pops up...

I'm trying to add:
Canada,Newfoundland,St. John's,NAM|CA|NL|SAINT JOHN'S
It is complaining about the ' character. I believe your SQL statement is getting confused by the ' in "St. John's" and "SAINT JOHN'S". You need to make sure when you read from the text file you encapsulate the string with quotes like "<string>" before you try to insert into the DB...

Install Express: Quickly install ALL cabs

I'm not sure if somebody has already put this cab somewhere on XDA, but in case no one has, here's an app that allows you to install all cabs in your TP2 quickly & silently. I found it somewhere on the Internet. Now you don't have to install every single cab and go through the installation process over and over again.
This app:
- is useful for those who are fond of hard-resetting their tp2 or flashing new roms..
- Works great on TP2.. (at least it does on mine)
Just install the cab on your tp2 & run the program. You'll figure out how everything works from there. The app is in French, but the ZIP file below includes the setup for English. Install the setup if you want the app in English.

I can confirm it works.. it really does & the installation process is quite fast.. It even works as a background app

You now it is a very old idea? On most roms you can find UC (for user customization) that do the same. Search the forum for this one.

After you installed the English setup, the app would still be in French. Ignore this first and go the last tab on the app. You'll see a box that says 'French'. Click that box and an option box will appear. You'll see 'English' there. Click 'English' and the app will show up in English straight away..

Boy I'll second the vote for Sashimi. I have mail, wifi, and most all my apps auto setup after a ROM flash. Works great once you spend the time to set it up. Only problems are some ROM's need different apps (is Opera already at 9.7, does it include an auto-lock, task switcher, etc) but it's a very cool program:

Boy I'll second the vote for Sashimi. I have mail, wifi, and most all my apps auto setup after a ROM flash. Works great once you spend the time to set it up. Only problems are some ROM's need different apps (is Opera already at 9.7, does it include an auto-lock, task switcher, etc) but it's a very cool program:
