Htc touch cruise unstable

Hi everybody !
I have a Htc touch cruise riginal swedish rom , and after upgrading to 6.1 from the htc site , the phone became very unstable .The camera dont work anymore , lots of crashes , synk is not working .....
Please could someone help , shall I go back to windows 6 ?

I think the problem is the RADIO, if you do the Hard SPL and then you install this RADIO all problems with the camera, sync and the rest of the conections will desapear.

My Polaris is stable as Windows device can be stable.
But I use WWE ROM, so please compare Radio versions and whatever else you can compare.
I tried going back to 6.0 and failed miserably... It could get only worse, IMHO.

I had the same problem with my Cruise with 6.1. It restarted itself and hanged in about every phonecall. I tried every radio rom available that i have found on this forum.
I contacted HTC support and the last answer was that i should call the local ANOVO support here in sweden and request a downgrade to 6.0. They wrote also that i could be the drivers in 6.1 that caused the problems!!!
Now i has flashed the "c_shekhar WM1.60.21014aCS WWE ROM (build 21014.1.6.0)" with old drivers an the phone works again. The only problem i had so far is that Youtube application freezes sometimes and Opera also freezes sometimes.

Thank you very much for the info , I have tryed to update the rom but that did not fix the camera problem , so I went for this solution ; installing a kokt Rom for the first time . I used ( "c_shekhar WM1.60.21014aCS WWE ROM (build 21014.1.6.0)".Now the camera works and the phone is more responsive.
The only minor problem is that I lost the swedish language.
This problem made me discover a new way to enjoy my touch cruise

HTC HD2 Sense - New User S.O.S.

Hello friends, users of xda-developers.com ...
I had bought my HTC HD2 with htc sense a week ago ...
I have red some of the theads here for ROM updates and the other stuff that helps to fix the some problem that might have on the htc ...
well ... i cant install anything on my htc ...
i tryed every way ... allmost every version ...
cant get no positive result ...
please help me if its not a hard job for you ...
i know it may be like " ohh ... another nubie ".
i'll be thankfull if you'll help me to understand the htc \ the windows mobile system ...

need are : Hebew / Russian support that will work for the htc hd2 sense

Are you sure your manila version is 1.0.19211620.0? My HD2 show Manila 2.5.19211619. As far as I know, Every HD2 have Manila version 2.5

This all what i get after making an Hard Restart to the Htc...
it reinstalls the factory release ...

Yes, every HD2 has Manila 2.5.
I think there is a possibility you don't even have the HD2. Either you have some other phone from HTC or you have some fake stuff from Chinese market... I'm just guessing of course. Can you maybe post a picture of your hd2?

have you installed the necessary software on your computer?

Well, at least the ROM version is the official Hong Kong ROM for the HD2, including the Radio ROM version.
Picture(s) and/or screenshot indeed would be helpful in order to support better.

Learn to HSPL your phone.
Then after that you can flash your phone with whatever ROM you want provided by the wonderful XDA devs .

But ... i have a little problem ...
when i try to install the HSPL ... ( if you also did it ), you get the BOOT or what ever you call it screen on the HTC red green white screen...
( the one you see on the video tutorial ).
and the soft ( HSPL ) on the computer write me " waiting for usb connection " ... he cant see my device when it goes to the "boot" screen (on device)...
what can be the problem?
( again ... i use the windows 7 )
( active sinc 4.5 )
( htc hd2 sence )

I don't think you can run activ sync in Win7
I connected my device using WMDC.
And ran Hardspl.
I think it's enough to Hard SPL the device.
You needn't do soft spl.
After you hard spl you get a screen on windows7 saying
"We hacked your phone" if I remember correct.
After that you can load in your new rom.

Are you using a USB port that is in a card reader? Or maybe part of the front case of the PC?
I can't instal HSPL from my front USB ports, but it installs fine on the USB ports round the back, directly on the motherboard....
I can however flash roms fine using the front ports.

it was the problem .... i put the usb behind the comp
and it found the usb .... HSPL installed .... thanks ALOT! =)

Hah, hunt around, those questions never get a good reception.
You should choose your own. If you want to stick with official roms go for the 1.66, but if you want to try cooked ones, pick one and try it, pick another and try that. Take your time, dont go flash crazy, see what you like and stick with it. Try the one in my sig, very nice.
Best advice i can give is dont flash using sd card. It can lead to awkwardness, lol. With HSPL and usb flashing, your SPL is protected. Flash with sd card and you can possibly mess that up.
Only time you should need to use sd card is if you're flashing back your original stock rom and wanting to remove HSPL. (You can also flash the stock romusing USB, but that will leave HSPL installed.)

Arabic localization

Hi Friends I am new to this forum and I am new user of an HTC HD2...I bought a HTC HD2 from a shop here in Oman and am using it with a local carrier(Oman mobile)..So I think its an unlocked phone...I tried value added installation and updated ARABIC LOCALISATION (which I dont need anyway) and now the phone shows half the icons in arabic and half in english...is there anyway I can have just english language in my phone ? I have tried reseting it (both hard and soft) but still no change...

Guidelines for flashing
Although it does not require different flashing procedure but I thought its better to avoid any mishap
*flash it using RUU available for OPAL
* after flashing wait for few minutes & then proceed to Screen alignment, it will help to avoid lagging in screen cursor
*Set the time zone, tap on screen for completion
* then the phone would go for customization, please don't stop it by any means. It is not OEM customization, it install few registry settings setting provided by some great chefs at XDA
* let the customization complete, be patient it may take more than 6-7 minutes
*After the device restarts, again do a soft reset
* some users may encounter the problem of home settings not working after loading msgs & contacts...buts it tempoarary problem...soft reset your device it will work

All original grphics available in winmo 6.5

By the way can u sent me the list of ur EXT in text file, my manilla2d is not working just wanted to confirm what all packages are required additonal

Sorry dear I think the data you have given is not correct
your SPL should be 2.00.cmon, Just check in the forum for hard SPL thread if you can upgrade to 2.00.cmon
By the way my device has ONBL 1.35.0000 and I have cooked this ROM with stock ROM from my phone...so might be compatibility issue because higher version on ONBL

imblfmstr while cooking you included, onbl too?
If yes remove it, problem would get solved i think. Btw just using indian stock rom drivers wont creat prob coz i have once tried to use spanish stock rom driver and it worked fine.

This ROM is working awesome on my phone....I am very happy with this
Its just like official Upgrade....no glitches...no errors...
absolutely fantastic...even I could not believe how I did this....

i think onbl 1.35 work fine with those who have stock onbl 1.27
myself use onbl 1.27 on my stock onbl 1.35.0000
when you flash rom with onbl 1.35 your onbl that is 1.27 will change to 1.35.0000

@imblfmstr: Okay do one thing download this.
Then open your rom in that editor, then u delete everything except the os part thats it.

This is really a very nice ROM. Initially it felt bit slow but after 3 to 4 Soft resets this problem was solved. Now the ROM is fast and battery life is very good.
Is it possible to cook a ROM like this for 6.5.3 (The one with Start Icon at the bottom). I feel 6.5.3 is more finger friently.

It takes 3-4 soft reset to make it smooth because I have included 5 different sets of registry tweaks made by some great XDA developers....intially it takes time to make the changes...

I need some help

First of all I`d like to say HELLO to everyone from here and that i like the work all you guys have done here .
Now i have my Htc HD2 for some time now and i would like to customize it a bit , i start to notice that my device is running slowly and it is outdated , i never update anything beside the htc official updates for music stability , messages and stuff like this but never a ROM or something like that , but i have installed flash and net frame work 3.5 i also use for like 2 weekes task x manager but it wan`t working as it should be with my manila, i often get an error on that with "manila.exe".

So here is what i want to do , i want to update it with the official last Htc released ROM i also like to mention that is a NDL phone , that is where i have it , but I am living in Romania.
So i want to update to the last official Htc Rom , and add the latest Radio , or which is the best . I also like to know if it is something that i could do to make HTC`s messages tab work faster , is very slow , and i use it a lot like 100 messages per day and is annoying to wait sometimes it freeze.
I also like to know if i can create in Start menu folders and how i can put the shortcuts in it if posible.
And last but not least is anyone got a good set of application and game *(free of course) , or you cold just tell me what are you`re favorite application.
And one more thing actually two, i want to enable the 576 ram or how many they are , and can I use Tmodus rom om my htc (Is not a t mobile htc ...)

Firstly you would need to use hspl to be able to have a custom rom which you need to enable the extra RAM my friend take a look here

so I can`t use an official rom and have the 576 ram ? and one more thing , if my phone is from NDL can I put after the hspl any rom on it from any country ?

the first part no only custom ROM's have 576mb enabled im afraid so you would need to do it that way,
after hspl you wouldn't bother flashing stock roms from other countries mate you would see the brilliant custom roms and get addicted

what about tmodus rom or something like that i saw that the ROM version is somewhere at 2.x beside the 1.x on the official ones, and it also enabled the 576 ram on it .
But i saw somewhere If i change the radio i`ll get 576 so isn`t possible , sorry dude i`m kinda noobis and thanks for you time

the HD2 from the USA is a diff spec to the Euro which you and I have, where as we stock have 448mb ram and 512rom the usa one's are different, but near enough all custom ROM's all work with every phone,
