Problem after upgrade wm6.1 on polaris

Hello all,
I am in crisis situation.
I purchased the touch cruise (polaris) from authorised dealer in the middle east (my polaris is middle east version) came with wm6 SPL 1.28.000. ROM 0.0.415.2 (sorry I had saved the details in one of the files but I guess it got deleted. so I dont remember which ROM version I had)
I wanted to test the diamond TF3d style, so I upgraded. below is the steps I took
1. Hard spl - v2
2. downloaded _HTC Touch Cruise_RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_3.13.405.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship.exe
3. installed the same.
4. Installed HTC-CA-Polaris drivers and TF3d.
5. I read somewhere that it works slow and need to upgrade Radio to 1.59.42.23. I did that.
but now my GPS is not working with Garmin also tried TOm TOM which is installed by the WM6.1 upgrade, no luck even the phone is too slow
I want to revert to the original version. please help me find the ROM download and steps to downgrade to original. I can downgrade the SPL to original but need to have the ROM first bcos I dont want my phone to be total dead.
need urgent attention from the experts.

I already flashed with this update and my phone is messed up GPS not working.
I wanted to the original wm6 which comes with by default (box packed) touch cruise.
please help.

Which language was your original English or Arabic ?

I did foolishness to get Diamond TF3d on touch cruise and screwed up everything I need to revert.
please if someone has touch cruise WWE version please send me link or if someone can dump one that would be a gr8 help

If indeed it was the WWE version then use the link as post #2
Why not try one of the WWE 6.1 with Manilla for example from M-Amine much better than the stock Rom

Some Question About "upgrading"

Well, I got this PDA 3 wks ago.
First thing i did was the upg to wm 6.1 ( from HCT ).
Than hardspl ( all gone OK ) than M-Amine package. After 3/4 days BT wont go, radio FM too.
Well gone bak to WM6.1 ,and WM6.0 does't resolve any problem. Send back to the vendor and changed with a new one.
with this 2nd PDA upgrade to wm6.1 and than hardspl and to M-amine . After 6 day Camera blink into various colours, To have it working I tried to soft reset ( nothing ) hard reset (nothing ), go back to wm6.1 and 6.0. Camera won't go. Send back this 2nd with factory wm6.0 and got a new one ( the 3rd ).
Now with this 3rd device all is still "original" wm6.0, but it interface is very sad.
So my question is.
Am I very unfortune and the device was really defected
or am I a stupid ?
Is there an Upgrade to manilla2d without uprgrading the radio drivers?

Wow, you have had some bad luck!
25.85.30.07 is the protocol version.
Official releases from HTC often contain both a new ROM and Radio in the same release, however you can upgrade them independant of each other. Need to be careful when doing this though as some of the newer ROMS require newer radio versions to work correctly. You'll find details of the necessary radio versions in most of the ROM upgrade topics.
I'm currently running this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2950434&postcount=348
With this radio version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430182 without any problems.
The ROM I'm using contains Manila 2d etc. and runs quite nicely, but so do many other current ROMS from epimazzo, M-Amine, c_shekhar and udK.
Make sure you have the latest version of HardSPL installed on your phone before flashing any new ROM/Radio as the unsuccessful radio upgrades in particular can brick your device. Lots of information on this in the wiki.

Arabic localization

Hi Friends I am new to this forum and I am new user of an HTC HD2...I bought a HTC HD2 from a shop here in Oman and am using it with a local carrier(Oman mobile)..So I think its an unlocked phone...I tried value added installation and updated ARABIC LOCALISATION (which I dont need anyway) and now the phone shows half the icons in arabic and half in english...is there anyway I can have just english language in my phone ? I have tried reseting it (both hard and soft) but still no change...

Yo man! you should re-install 1.66 rom . you can find it in this site or go to mea-en htc and download it.
after download and install , DO NOT INSTALL THAT PROGRAM . it was my problem too.

Yesterday I tried installing a ROM (WWE I suppose)but got some error message..will try today and let you know what message I got...

Thanks a lot dude...I upgraded to the MEA 1.66 rom and now it works fine....

Lag on the clock flip & weather animation

i bought A HD2 .
i have a question ;
has your HD2 a very little lag (about ; 1/2 Second or less ) on clock Flip & weather animation ?
i think the cause is ; refreshing the task bar !!! is it right ? Is it normal & epidemic ?

Hi & Welcome to the Forums, yes it does have some what of a slight lag on the clock flip & animation, keep in mind that you're running an older Rom and Manilla version upgrading to the latest version of Rom 1.66 & Manilla 2.5 will definitely improve performance . . . you may also want to read up on flashing "Cooked" Roms. . . . Cheers.

thanx 4 your replay , i can't Install the Cooked roms because it will remove my guaranty , Also when i enter to the HTC Support after that i enter my Serial Number , the site tell me that i can't download the ROM 1.66 !! they said that that roms is not SUITABLE for me ! :-(
how i can update my manila Ver ?

It looks like you have a so called "Branded" Version (T-Mobile, Vodafone etc.).
You can only update them with an "original" ROM that your provider supplies or install a "cooked" ROM which is described here and here
Your warranty might expire if you flash a custom ROM

Can i solve this little lag with updating my manila to Ver 2.5 ?
I'm novice in WM . my previous cell phone was SN P1i .
also i find one matter !! at Flight mode the lag is very very little ! about 1/5Sec
and on the phone mode is about 1/2 Sec ! whats the matter ?
All of the Automatic update's is OFF

i have the same problem and i use rom 1.48 grrr. I hope 1.66 will be available soon in Poland. I'm waiting...

[Q] Problem when flashing wm 6.1 over 6.5

Hi there! I observed a problem after i flashed my P3300 with wm 6.1 ROM ( i had WM6.5 Babelut rom before) my phone was going offline all by itsself but on the screen it apeared that it was on and when i tried to call someone it asked for pin , i flashed another 6.1 rom and this time i couldn't send sms , when the phone was going in sleep mode it didn't wake up with power button only with hard reset, my songs were playing very fast (pitch) i returned to WM6.5 babelut and every thing is fine, i used uspl everytime and my spl is 1.11cmon.
Any ideas?? TY in advance.

I think it's a problem with your radio version; It might be only compatible with wm6.5. Try downgrading your radio rom, or keep wm6.5.
p.s., moving this thread to upgrading, since it's a question about upgrading/flashing.

SOLVED! I updated my Radio and everythin seems to be in good order. Ty very much
