Ive got it pretty much done im just having issues getting the palm app to interface with the TF3D messaging tab.
sometimes it will grab the message but it does not appear correctly. but 97.9% of the time the TF3D tab will not show "no messages" when there is new messages.
the app its self works quite well though. and i prefer it over the WM 6.1 sms app
any input would be appreciated
does any one know how to get Manila to interface with the messageing.exe rather then tamail.exe - text
I know this thread is really old but it got me curious. Can you post what you've done so far? Have you made any further progress? I love Palm's threaded SMS and I'd love it on my Diamond. Were you able to get it to resize when the SIP pops up?
Any screenshots that you can upload?
Hi,
I'm using Lost in Asia's v0.6 rom with htc messaging (most leo roms now have it anyway). Whenever I reply an sms, halfway through, it jumps up a couple of messages and I have to scroll back down to the text input area. Is this just me, or is this a common bug with htc messaging?
I've just bought myself an HD2, so I'm kinda new with htc sense and wm6.5. Previously, I only use wm6.1 roms on my HTC Touch HD, and I always disable htc messaging.
Any thoughts? Thanks
hey guys, so i got my tmobile usa hd2 a week ago and so far its been okay, the phone is so beautiful i love the built quality and the sense UI, BUTTTT the sms lags soo bad sometimes, especially when i have a text message coming in, i restart the phone 1 or 2 times a day it sucks.. i wish i could just use the STOCK windows sms threading style when you disable sense.. :/ any fixes for the lag? or is just windows being windows? im kinda being pulled towards returning it and getting the nexus one..hmm
Hello,
I do not have any lag at all.
2 things I suggest:
delete conversations when you are done
clear all deleted items
Thank you,
Monnie
yeah but i shouldnt have to delete all my conversations tho :/ i mean this thing has 3 times the hardware my touch pro has and it never crashed (i dont have touch flo on) bc of the texts unless i had 6k plus texts in my inbox. lol

Try the Zenyee Messaging Cab (search XDA; it's posted EVERYWHERE!) to disable HTC Messaging and re-enable WM Messaging.
I don't know if anyone tried it with the stock T-Mo HD2 ROM yet, so I don't know what the results will be like. Just don't blame me if your phone explodes and plunges us into a world war.
lolol thanks

I just installed Zenyee's cab, and the SMS messaging doesn't have a conversation/threaded view. It's the old 6.1 view, but outlook messaging has conversation vew. Am I missing something? I like the threaded view.
Are you sure the windows messaging client isnt threaded? I may be mistaken but I think that when I disable Sense, my messages are still threaded.

The "old 6.1" (WM messaging) client should have the conversation/threaded view. On the top right of the screen there should be a drop-down arrow. Press it and choose either "received" or "conversation".
I have those settings...and I'm using a ROM with the WM messaging client.
I have the hd2 running default win mobile..and it is a well known issue with the sms lag function. Where you tap on composing your sms and then you have to tap it again while the history of your convo loads up and sometimes it takes FOREVER for the history to load up. This has been a pain for most hd2 users. So my question is that does this problem only exist on hd2? OR any phones that run win mobile?????????
Same here on Touch Diamond 2
It is HTC Messages: hope there'll be a fix on it

yep, stupid manila client... but the winmo client has the same lag, so it must be a platform issue... it does seem like it's reindexing everything when you send a text though because the problem isn't noticeable if you dont have very many txts.
Here's my question.I have the HD2 running 2.3..I have checked my sms settings to addSignature.I know I can do that under wm 6.5 but now that I found heaven I don't ever want to go back.Is there a way to add to my sms or is there a app.for that?
Handcent will allow this along with alot of other things you should check it out one of my favorite apps of all time
swyped from my HD2 Android
