Has anyone got it to install and run? I installed it but it won't start up. it gets stuck on a loading screen.
yes. i have had no problems with it. running it i usually have a few seconds load, but then it goes straight in.
I started a thread on this already.
So far it looks like it's only a problem on CM ROM's.
Works on unrooted and the desire roms
Finally works on cyanogen mod 5.0.6!!!
Dude it's been working since 5.0.5.3. You already told us in the other epocrates thread. No need to spam it.

Well, about 4 days have passed, and in those 4 days, I have rooted my phone, flashed a custom ROM, and been through about 5 different kernels. I am really enjoying this experience. I have done a few other things, like set up wireless tethering, and installed a custom boot animation, but I feel this is not enough lol. I am very eager to do more, but don't know what else to do.

Start flashing CM7 nightlies
I've been the same way ever since I got into the android platform.
You can get into themes and basically design an entire theme if you want.
I always seem to come back Redemption Roms though when I'm switching back and forth in between roms. I tried the CM7 but just always end up coming back.
You guys have any idea how I can get the trackball wake feature to work with skyraider 3.5? Do I need to download a zip file or what? I was told it came standard with skyraider, but it's not working for me
It is very addicting, I must say that I at one point flashed 4 roms in one day until I found the perfect one.
I've been flashing CM7 nightlies and I'm getting ready to flash CM7 RC2. Of all the ROMs that I have flashed I must say that I am not budging from CM7, it rocks.

Haven't flashed SR in a while. Check around in settings.
You can also try out 'Launcher Pro' (easy to switch back, just uninstall) from the market.
It's pretty sweet and I've been using it ever since I've downloaded it.

Flash more ROMs and try them out. I had SR3.5 for about a week after I first rooted my Incredible. I went to Warm 2.2 for a couple weeks and then I've been on CM7 since January 10 or so. Flashing a new ROM is like having a whole new phone.
I still have nights where I'll flash one or two different ROMs, completely set them up, and then decide I want to go back to CM7 and restore my backup. I'm definitely trying the Gingerbread version of MIUI when it comes out - the current version doesn't beat out CM7 in my opinion, but the next one might.
Hello guys. I'm having some issues with going back to stock. I had to Downgrade my phone and then install S-Off with the Easy_Radio_Tool v2_2. I then flashed Android Revolution ROM successfully. Later this evening I wanted to go back to stock so I recovered to the Stock 2.2. Now when I try to update, it downloads the 2.3 update and goes to installing. My phone reboots and just shows the ORANGE-BLUE screen nonstop. I've been waiting for some time and it just stays the same. What should I do?

I've done the same. I've had enough jerking around and just flashed Android Revolution again. Then I flashed SuperRosie and wow...no more words. Way better than Stock.

well of course. Custom roms are tweaked to give users the best experience and i personally think that going to stock for nothing would be a waste of time + waste of your device capabilities.
So, finally got my G3 back, its bumped & running (the stable and quick) Cloudy.
But there's obviously the temptation to jump to the latest OS, but given that its Art not DVK and Xposed won't run (along with tweekbox etc) then its not looking like its worth it.
Although there does appear to be rooted options available now, but is are they really worth it? Is it any better? what differences are there?
And will my bumped bootloader still work ok or did it need to call home for the bump servers to run?
oh so many questions, anyone got any answers?
My thoughts are that I'll probably just hang back and stick with good old stable Cloudy. Unless you can persuade me otherwise.
cheers
The available lollipop roms don't even look complete so I'm going to hold off a while.
Dear OP, instead of making a new thread you could have asked the same in the Lollipop discussion thread which has been made sticky purposely to avoid threads like these. Thank you.
almost made the jump last night as I got stuck with the "unable to contact google" and ended up having to reflash Cloudy to get the bloody thing to work (tried everything, reinstalling apks, modding the hosts, etc but no dice)
Now its running happily again.
And why didn't I post this in the lollypop sticky, to be honest I missed the thing! (again) my bad.
Also in the same situation, except I'm on stock ROM and waiting to decide either to flash a ROM of kitkat or wait till Cm 12 is stable..
Also would like to see your questions answered..

I also have been on stock until yesterday. I did root and bumped. Change the horrible minfree and dpi, installed adaway, greenify and updated to lollipop. Well I havent done much testing, but for now I didnt encounter a single problem. It's more fluid and looking really good with Lollipop Theme. If you don't like you can always easily go back I dont really see the point to ask is it worth it. Just do it. For me it was like 15 min. And if not liking always have a backup!
Man I have read a ton and I am pretty much ready to install my first custom ROM (especially since ZTE seems to be done and thus no more official updates). I have a couple questions though that I was hoping somebody would indulge.
- After installing the latest gapp will I be able to update the apps via the play store properly? I know I had los installed on a tablet back in the day and most of the apps wouldn't update (was never sure if that was my error or by design).
- If there are potential issues that I couldn't live with ... how difficult of a process will it be to return to stock? What traces will there be that I had installed a custom rom at one point in time?
The HTC One M8 was the last phone that I actively maintained custom roms and flashed on a regular basis. I'm a little rusty.
Thank you to whoever takes the time to help me out! Much appreciated!

I've been on 15.1 since release, it's pretty good, still a couple of niggles but mostly good.
Yep GApps update, I installed the Aroma package, I like the pixel launcher and Google dialer etc. All updating fine.
I haven't done this but I believe you download an EDL package and flash that with the EDL tool, should put you straight back to stock.

Thank you for the quick reply!
Yeah using the google dialer and camera app are the ones I am most looking forward to using. I used to use the dialer on my One M8 and I loved it. Have you tried Google Pay? I would assume that as long as I don't root I should be able to use whatever.
I read somebody having trouble with installing Netflix from the play store stating that they got the message that it wasn't compatible with their device. Have you experienced anything like this? I remember running into this from time to time with some past custom roms where the device ID wouldn't show up properly and caused some perceived incompatibility. Do you know what device the AXON 7 shows up as once it has the custom rom installed on it?
Thanks again!

That's a problem from the past. Use Magisk and you'll be fine.
The phone shows as "ZTE Axon 7" and the model will be changed to A2017U. Don't worry, but remember that your phone is still whatever model it was, i.e. keep using whatever modem corresponds
If Netflix doesn't appear just download the apk from somewhere else, but it should appear anyways if you install Magisk and it passes safetynet (after you do, just hit the "check safetynet" button
