Hey Forum!
How do I automatically cc/bcc myself in to emails that I send so I can have a record of the emails I send from my phone?
I've been searching round this forum looking for the answer but haven't found it yet! (I've probably been looking in the wrong place...)
Thanks for any help!
Does anyone know how to do this (or something similar)? I need to be able to do it to comply with our ISO stuff!
Yes, this is an important glitch in WinMo. I can't understand why this feature is missing. In the Palm world it worked very well.
Doesn't anyone know how to do it. Input something in the registry or anything.
Regards
Are you guys using Mail via an exchange Server/Active Sync? Then why not just enable the sent-folder to be synced as well or isnt that what you are looking for.
Inbox-->Menu-->Extras-->ManageFolders (or similar im not sure about the WWE translation)-->Enable the checkbox next to your Sent-Folder
Hi,
No, I'm using regular pop-mail.
Of course one can always do this manually but it would be nicer if it was set as default.

Dear All,
i have tired from searching for an application to enable me send a contact details using SMS. after a long search i found a similar application called RJV SendContact (http://www.airfagev.com/forum_view.asp?msg_id=52421) , but it is for smart phones. do anyone know a similar application that can work with our PPC Wizard devices.
Can't help, but i would like one too.
Yet another big shortfall with WM5. I mean, FFS, Vcard's have been a standard feature in mobiles for years.
Hi there.
Try looking/searching for Sunnysoft Vcard. Google it and you will know that it is what you guys are looking for.

Try Vazu.
I used it back about two years ago when they first offered it as a free beta. I used it for a year and then they tried to start charging for it. But I see now that they are once again offering the service free of charge, except for international SMS messages.
BTW, I have no connection of any kind with them, except that I used it for a while.
Good luck.
this is for sending sms for the us, but not Vcards from your device.
I don't know if it's just US or not, but you can upload your contacts (read: vCards) to their site and they will then be sent to your phone via SMS.
That info may be beyond the main page - read through the site and you'll see what I'm talking about. I used it about two years ago when they first established the site to send about 200 Outlook contacts from my PC to a Motorola T720 (Ugh 0 what a dog that phone was!)
OK - I copied the link directly to the page that explains how to import contacts from Outlook, Outlook Express, Apple Mail, or Ximian Evolution (Whatever that is) for transmission directly to your cell phone:
https://www.vazu.com/help/import_contact.php
Many Thanks
Many Thanks for your effort, it can be a replacement
I use this small program. it adds "Sens as Vcard"to the contactsmenu, when you hold your stylus on a contact.
And it recognises Vcards when you recieve them.
I don't know where I found this so I attach it to this post, I hope this is not Illegal. Otherwise Google for vCardforminiS.cab
good luck
Great App, but i google for it i did not find anything concerning this app, anyway , thanks alot
I could not find it with google eather, sorry for the wrong tip
o2 sms has this feature
The O2 SMSprogram has this feature. Someone on this forum posted the version that can be installed on the Wizard. I tried it once but found it a bit slow. Then again I was running the original Cingular Rom which sucked big time. Search for the thread and try it out. The only drawback is that the application does not eliminate the messages from also showing up in the default WM5 messaging application.

I tried installing it in my phone. It says Installation unsuccessful. Am I doing anything wrong ?
Hello,
I know this has been asked before without reaching any satisfying solution, but who knows... maybe someone found a magic trick lately...
I have to send a SMS message to a large number (96) of recipients. Adding them to the "To:" field just doesn't work - probably some overflow error caused by too many recipients. Does anyone have any actual solution?
Until now the best shot seemed to be "Simple SMS" (the software), but I just can't seem to config it to work with the 9100/Wizard. Maybe some other add-on software?
I'm quite desperate, as this looks like a mailing list I have to contact quite often...
Thank you in advance for your help!
you could try Microsoft outlook for contacts, and outlook express for email.
I am not sure but I think using Microsoft outlook may be easier to send to 96 people. Good luck with your replies.
have you tried O2SMSPlus?
I googled O2 SMS Plus but it looks like it is a proprietary app... is there a downloadable version out there, and does it actually do the trick?
i'm using a BA on AKU3.0, and the app posted in the following thread works. it enables you to choose from the addressbook which names to send the message to, and subsequently sends them one by one.

if it doesn't work for you, you can always uninstall it. good luck.

Hi!
I'm using my Vario II with a hosted exchange server provided by 1und1 and so I'm stuck with the enforced security settings.
Some time ago I read someone managed to disable this but unfortunately I don't find it any more. I tried the search engine but it didn't come up with what I was looking for.
Anybody who can help me?
Thanks!
With the enhanced security, are you not able to get anything working on your PPC? Or do you just not want it there? If it's the latter, I'd really like to know why you wouldn't want security on there.
Hi! Everything works fine. But I use this on a private basis and therefor it is unnecessary for me to use a password. Additionally I use an Anti-Theft-Software which is unlikely to be of any help if the device is password protected.
Apart from that it's just a matter of convenience. I've seen that it's possible and now I would like to try it.
I suppose telling your IT dept that you want to be on the password exception list is out of the question eh?
I'm using a hosted exchange. There is no way of changing the server settings.
Anybody help please?

Try the solution posted in the link below. I haven't tried it but I think it might help...
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-...blem-cannot-turn-off-password-lock-fixed.html
Thanks for your answer. I tried it but unfortunately this does not do the trick... :-(
Hi! If you just want to turn off the security check when you turn your phone on. You can go to SETTINGS->(the symbol with the key don't know what its called on english rom) and set the time to 24 hours. Now all you have to do is turn your phone on once within 24 hours...and you will never see the security keypad again. I hope that is of any help to you...

Thanks for the tip. It's already set to 24h. The reason I want to disable this is not just me being to lazy to key in the 4 numbers but to allow my anti-theft-software to work properly. But when the SIM is changed a softreset is performed and the Password is required before the thief's SIM can be activated and an alert SMS can be sent.
That's my problem.
I originally posted this in the Hermes section but I now realize it should have been posted here. Please excuse the crosspost though.
Our Blackberry's have a way called "Level 1 Messages" to react differently to incoming emails based upon Sender and/or Subject text. This can include playing a different notification alarm and/or vibrating.
I'm trying to implement the same functionality into our new Cingular 8525 devices (WM5) and I'm not having much luck.
I've tried working with the POOM (Pocket Outlook Object Model) and it seems that doesn't cover incoming emails.
I then tried looking into MAPI and it seems that Messaging related issues only deal with SMS messages. We receive our Exchange email via Activesync over OWA (I think) and so that leaves MAPI out.
I am both amazed that this is that difficult and amazed that there aren't 500 questions related to this already here as I thought this would be a VERY common need.
If I can't figure this out, we'll have to go back to Blackberry and that's not what I want to do.
I looked at the software phoneAlarm and it supposedly has this functionality but it is very unstable and we could never get the Custom Email alerts working.
TIA - any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I searched first and followed all those goose chases but I still have not found a working solution.
I'm interested in such an app as well and have been unable to find one. I'm reviving this thread in case something new has developed.
Phonealarm provides such functionality, as well as an application from Quore fucntions called "inboxtones". Google it

with sound? I am getting my pushed emails now, but none of them trigger my WM5 set sound on reciept. Is there something obvious im missing? Does push have seperate settings or consilient have an .ini or something?
Hi,
I'm one of the members of the Windows Mobile development team at Consilient. This is a known issue for PocketPC with our software (notifications are working fine for SmartPhone). There will be a new version of Consilient Push released shortly which should help you out.
Keep an eye on our customer forums for the announcement of the release(http://forum.consilient.com/).
Cheers,
Steve

cheers bud. For some reason my gmail doesnt trigger it either, so hopefully il be able to use consilient to push my gmail and solve both problems!
I have a problem once I installed the 'push' my 8525 doesn't want to open the messaging program. i have to soft reset the unit then i get a single launch of the messaging. My work around was add it to the exclusive programs in HTC button so it doesn't get closed when I hit the X. but this is kinda ****ty! I blame consilient.
