Hello everyone.
Recently, my hero has been randomly loosing signal to my network provider. It seems that if I use the phone, it never looses any signal, but when I unlock the phone after a while, I see that it has no service. If from there I put the phone in airplane mode for a few seconds, and then turn airplane mode off, it generally catches the signal again. Also, if I scan for networks manually, I can see all the networks in my area, but I receive a message saying that my SIM card does not allow this connection.
Also, this has happened throughout a number of ROM's and Radio's, so it cannot be ROM specific.
Has anybody else got any tips or ideas as to why my signal is dropping? I can also post my logcat later today if it will help.
Thanks!
I have this problem .
I can not call or receive call.
Help us please ...
it can be your radio that might be causing the problem?
try updating your PRL
Thanks for the support guys. It turns out that my SIM card was actually kicking the bucket, and so I went into Virgin Mobile, and they replaced it in 5 minutes. So far, no problems...so it seems sorted.
Thanks anyway!

Hello!
I spent last week in France and I had a lot of problems with GSM signal. Phone sometimes can't connect to operater. When I looked in settings menu I saw only ''searching'' and nothing happend. Then I just click on ''Find network'' and after some second everything was OK.
For me is this a big problem because I must be reachable all the time.
What could be wrong and how could I solve the problem?
Bye,
Borut
I'm on radio 1.38.00.11, and I have the same problem too... sometimes it does not even get any signal after trying to "find network". When I disable the phone and enable it again (flight mode and back) it will get full signal, I'm at the same spot for the whole process so its not the reception of the location.
Any idea?
I sent also an E-mail to HTC support team and still waiting an answer.
I got this answer:
Good Afternoon,
?
Unfortunately this can happen sometimes when roaming, especially if the SIM from your network does not have the preferred roaming partners programmed into it.
?
What tends to happen is that as the phone is switched on in the new country, it will automatically search for all networks in range and then systematically attempt to register and connect with all of them one by one.? Sometimes, depending on the speed with which the networks respond to the handset's requests to register, this can take a few minutes, especially if there are many networks in range.? It can also happen as the signal from one network disappears and the phone must begin this process again.
?
One thing I would suggest would be to contact your Operator and ask them for the name of the preferred roaming partner of the country you are travelling to and upon arrival in the country, you can manually select the network to connect to.? this should then tell the phone to keep with that network until it loses signal, but it should automatically return when the signal is found again.
?
Thank you for your enquiry, Should you have any other problem, please do not hesitate to call us. Your Local number can be found at http://www.europe.htc.com/support/csbyphone.html

Hi,
I bought my new Note in June. It's great, but I have a little problem. In my school, I carry the Note in my pocket. INSIDE the school, I don't have signal of any sort (data signal/for calls/for SMS), and my friends have the same problem. But the last week I have this problem: when I left the school, I recived again the data and mobile signal. But now, when I go out, I only recive data signal. Putting on Airplane mod/turning off and on data signal does not works. It loses the signal. I have to restart the phone and THEN I see the H+ icon with the two arrows. Outside of the school I HAVE data signal, because when I restart the Note, it comes again! Please I need help, I don't want to keep restarting my phone every time I left the school!!!
Greetings!

Similar issue happens at home but I have an at&t microcell and attribute losing data to that. I only notice that I lose 3g data when I try to send an mms and I get an error that says 'will try sending sms when data returns'. I just put the phone in airplane mode and then turn airplane mode back off. That seems to fix it. There was a thread a while back that mentioned a tip on disabling fast lock or fast wake something in the mobile network settings for at&t. The poster said it was enabled by default and that it did no good to our phones other than to make them slower connecting to at&t 3g. I hope someone remembers that thread.

Do you know a solution for International version? Entering in Airplane mode or turning off data does not works.
Hello,
I got a new Lg G2 D802 a week ago and have some srtange issues with it. Although my phone seems connected to my GSM provider about once a day i notice i cannot receive/make calls. Only thing to fix it is by rebooting the phone. It tried going in to airplane mode but it doent help and GSM signal still appears to be full while airplane mode is on. Basically its like i have no gsm signal but phone says its full.
This happens while i m sitting in my office with full GSM signal, another colleague next to me with the same device and provider never had this problem.
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you thing its a hardware or software issue? I tried searching for it but didn't find anything relevant.
Thanks in advance.
I also noticed in Settings the "Mobile Networks" option is grayed out when this happens
I have suffered from this problem for a while now. When I am on wifi at home or elsewhere and then go out of range and the phone should flip back to a 3g/4g signal all i get is an exclamation mark next to the signal bars. I then have to carry out a reboot to enable use of 3g
This happens about 80 percent of the time
Anyone else seen this?
I feel the same. I fix it with a tasker profile. When I lost wifi signal Airplane mode active for 5 seconds and then switches off. Since turning it on and off airplane mode reconnects the 3g.
Sorry for my english.

Hi
I have had my Z1 for 2 weeks and am experiencing the same problem. My usage of the phone requires that I switch between WiFi and either of the 2 SIM cards for data on a very regular basis. The Mobile data connection does not activate when coming off WiFi and I am forced to mess around switching the phone off and on etc in order to reactivate the Mobile data.
a) Is there a quick work-around to overcome this issue ... & ...
b) Will the OTA CM13 udate in March overcome this?
Thanks for your time in shining any light on this problem.
I'm playing with tasker trying to create profiles for things without much success. Could you please give me some help on setting up the profile for this?
Thankyou
I have the same problem. I usuallt swithc from 3g to 2g and then to 3g again, and the signal comes immediately
Every one got that problem . Y can try other flyme 4.5.4.3 (eng only) or zui . Modem works perfectly (except hotspot+4g)
hi everybody,
My Xiaomi MI A1 32GB lost data connection several times a day. I have only a visual notification - X symbol within signal strength bar(not above like should be in this case). This symbol in general is regarding roaming connectivity, but i am at my home network. When i enter in Settings and deactivate/activate the SIM, the data starts again. All the time i dial and answer the calls, it is only related to data connection in my home network.
Any idea how to fix it in other way, may be to install network signal booster app?
This is an Android 8.0 bug, not a phone one, right?
Regards,
I've had the same issue when using two SIMs. To fix the issue temporarily, I switched to flight mode for a few seconds, then it worked for a while.
Now I've switched of the second SIM card and since then the issue never happened again. So if you don't need two SIMs, I'd suggest to turn one SIM off temporarily till the problem is fixed. Maybe it is already fixed in the February update.
