Problem with phone signal - P3600 General

Hello!
I spent last week in France and I had a lot of problems with GSM signal. Phone sometimes can't connect to operater. When I looked in settings menu I saw only ''searching'' and nothing happend. Then I just click on ''Find network'' and after some second everything was OK.
For me is this a big problem because I must be reachable all the time.
What could be wrong and how could I solve the problem?
Bye,
Borut

I'm on radio 1.38.00.11, and I have the same problem too... sometimes it does not even get any signal after trying to "find network". When I disable the phone and enable it again (flight mode and back) it will get full signal, I'm at the same spot for the whole process so its not the reception of the location.
Any idea?

I sent also an E-mail to HTC support team and still waiting an answer.

I got this answer:
Good Afternoon,
?
Unfortunately this can happen sometimes when roaming, especially if the SIM from your network does not have the preferred roaming partners programmed into it.
?
What tends to happen is that as the phone is switched on in the new country, it will automatically search for all networks in range and then systematically attempt to register and connect with all of them one by one.? Sometimes, depending on the speed with which the networks respond to the handset's requests to register, this can take a few minutes, especially if there are many networks in range.? It can also happen as the signal from one network disappears and the phone must begin this process again.
?
One thing I would suggest would be to contact your Operator and ask them for the name of the preferred roaming partner of the country you are travelling to and upon arrival in the country, you can manually select the network to connect to.? this should then tell the phone to keep with that network until it loses signal, but it should automatically return when the signal is found again.
?
Thank you for your enquiry, Should you have any other problem, please do not hesitate to call us. Your Local number can be found at http://www.europe.htc.com/support/csbyphone.html
?
Best regards,
Pete Whiteley

Dropping calls

Does anybody else have a problem on o2? For the past few days my HD has been very flakey.
o2 are usually spot on in my area, the phone has good signal and what is happening most of the time is ill take a call then after 20-60seconds it will cut off and play the "duur duur" noise.
Is there anything i can further do to trouble shoot this problem and see if its a phone or possible network problem?
same to me
It happens to me too, but in Serbia, with Telekom network operator. So it is regardless of the network. Only thing that comes to my mind is connection setup update that I have recently did. Found out that call is dropping when I change network station cell or type of connection (from gprs to edge or 3G)
I tried to make new connection setup, will report with findings...

Calls disconnected - Issue with mobile?

Hiya
I am continuous issues with my desire HD. Not sure if it's network or there is something wrong with the mobile. The phone just hangs up in the middle of a call and disconnects after sometime. It happens quite a lot. Sometimes it wouldn't make a call. I try to dial a number and it shows grayed out dial pad and then disconnects.
I am currently on Orange network and quite sick of their merging excuse with T-Mobile so wonder if it's network issue or mobile issue. Is there a way of checking what's causing this?
I have been on stock rom previously but flashed last night with Leedroid latest rom but issue is still there.
Thanks
Network problem
Hi.I had same problem with My DHD.Just download Network apk by Philipp Mangelow and switch to GSM only mode.
Hi there,
This sounds like the calls were dropped rather than a ROM or handset issue.
The merger between T-Mobile and Orange is only proceeding at a network level of 2G/GPRS/EDGE at the moment but the 3G integration is in process.
The problem is that due to the merger cells form each network, which have a similar catchment area, may be decommissioned whilst areas which only had network presence from one of the operators are now dealing with twice the traffic. You could call Orange CS and have the techies check this out for you. It may just be that the cell is under-performing due to congestion or routine maintenance but it's best to make sure.

SGS2 is auto switching network operator

I have the choice of being on either the Orange network or T-mobile network here in the UK due to their signal sharing deal. My native network is Orange.
On the SGS I was able to set which network I wanted and my phone would stay on it and it would not change. Alternatively I could set it on "select automatically" and it would switch between them when the one it was on drops or it thinks the other signal is stronger.
Now I have a SGS2 and it no longer does this, it automatically switches between the networks even if I have selected the one I want manually. The problem is at my home and where I work the Orange signal is too poor to make calls so I want to keep it on t-mobile. Problem is it keep switching back to Orange and then I go to take a call but the signal is so bad I can't hear the other person!
This issue could potentially be a huge problem for me. Is there anyway round this?

[CM10.1] SIM PIN request when bad reception encountered

Hi everybody, I've been using CM10.1 build of July 3rd since it came out, with overall good satisfaction.
One major issue bothers me and I would like to get rid of it: when I enter a bad 3G reception area, my Defy+ disconnects from the 3g network, and it stays disconnected even if I move back to a good reception site, because it prompts for the SIM PIN and obviously I'm not watching the screen every second.
I dont think this is normal. It should retain the PIN entered at power-on, and restore 3G connectivity as network becomes available again.
I'm on italian TRE network operator, which has commercial agreements with competitors in order to fall back to nationwide roaming in areas where it is not present. Also, it only operates 3G frequencies, while when in roaming the phone should lock into 3G and 2G as well. Maybe this piece of information can help you in helping me.
I'm on mixed GSM/WCDA mixed mode (WCDMA preferred).
I tried to search in other thread but couldn't narrow down an exact asnwer, most of the topics I read dealt with RIL BUG (?).
Thanks

Problems with N900A LTE Signal

Hello everyone: I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this, but I'm having annoying problems with my handset since I updated the OS to Lollipop N900AUCUEOC1. My handset is SIM unlocked and use it here in my country Peru, South America. The problem is as follows, it is most of the time with only 3 signal bars of LTE, the handset must outside to get full bars, but the real problem is that sometimes it doesn't get any connection at all (pic attached), most of the time happens right after I disconnect from my house's WIFI, or sometimes, it only connects to H+(4G), I have to dial *#2263# and change it to any option and then, set it back to LTE/GSM to gain access to the LTE Signal, and I do this everytime I lose LTE signal, I must tell the phone to use LTE instead H+ o get the signal back. I think there is a set of numbers somewhere that I can manipulate and tell the phone that LTE signal is available always and stop losing signal. I little story to understand my predicament, when I bought it it I had the same problems, and I took it to a guy who did something to the handset and worked perfectly ever since, he told me he "recalibrated" the signal settings. But after upgrating it to Lollipop, the problems came back. And the guy is no longer where I remember I found him.
Thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciate it.:fingers-crossed:
If you have questions or need more info, I'll be happy to provide it.
Hello,
Try to enter in Settings -> Mobile Networks -> and choose the Prefered Network to the mode you want!
**You're not breaking any rules, you are just asking for help! XDA is exactly for that!**
(I'm using an unofficial and modified CM13 by TEMASEK, so this steps is in AOSP settings app, but I think that is almost the same thing in TouchWiz)
Try this and tell if it works! ^.^
Sorry about my english, I'm brazilian...
Hey, thanks for your reply, but I cannot do what you told me because I don't have that option, I'm running stock ROM and it is not rooted. I canot change the ROM to any other ca use of my locked bootloader . Don't worry, I'm peruvian, English is not my native tongue.
Images of my problem inside this word
Good morning, here are pictures what I have to go through to get the internet connection back on my handset. But today was the worst day of this issue, even this procedure did not work and I had to restart the handset in order to have internet connection.
