Hi guys,
i have a pre-release of HTC HD2. In the hardware settings i notice that i have 320 MB (RAM size).
Actually i have the duttys ROM and i would like to know if there's a possibility to enable the 576 MB (RAM size).
If yes how is it possible?

after the installation of "Duttys_LEO_Sense_2.5_5.2.23544.5.5.0_2.10_HG_Ultimate_Radio_2.08.50.8.2_V1.1_WWE" i have in the hardware information always 320MB (RAM Size).
So i'm thinking that it's not possible to unlock hidden memory (if there's), in my model (i have a pre-release of HD2).
Any help is appreciated.

may be it comes with 320 ram only but i have heared that flashing newer radios enable 448 of ram

A Pre-Release?
Also there are guides on how to obtain the full RAM.
I have the same device T8585 with 448 MB Ram - on the hardware info page -
But it seems to work with only 336MB Ram on the Task Manager page :/

I haven't found anything that solves the situation.
I tried many ROMs (with 576 enabled), but i always have in the hardware information 320MB (RAM Size). So if you know some link, documents, ROM, please send me detail.

Alright stock hd2 should have 448 ram on it no matter what, i had rom 1.43 and i had 448mb ram now im using Energy's rom and i have 576 ram flashed alot of other roms with 576ram enabled and i havent got any probs.
Be sure to flash the correct Radio/Rom cuz from what ive read on the forums only a few radio's enable 576mb ram hope this helps xD

Humm considering the rom u have and radio it should show u 576mb ram really strange.
Try flashing another rom with ram enabled to test it, if not mayb its just not showing it but the ram is actually enabled
and use MTTY(u can find the sticky in Rom Dev thread) between flashing so u have a clean base.
I have tested many ROMs that says 576MB enabled but the result was always the same (320MB in RAM Size).

may be you need to upgrade it to 448 first then to 576 , try this

There is no upgrade to 448 as this is the standard. If you really got the pre-release some users could see in early videos of the HD2 then this is a hardware-issue which can not be fixed/improved. Only chance i see is to contact HTCs RepairService and ask if a physical upgrade is possible and what it would cost... Sorry Mate
BTW: Where did you get that pre-release ?

The reason to that your only seeing 320/336MB of ram is because HD2 uses 128MB for graphics/graphical acceleration.
So 320+128=448
But if there is a way to further increase the amount of ram to 576MB even if you bought the 448MB edition then i would like to hear about it to!
EDIT: LOL, found just seconds after writing this post that you can flash the newest 2.10 Radio ROM to enable 576MB, but i think that you'll have to install a new Custom ROM to make use of the 576MBs . But you will still have 128MB of the 576MB used to graphics. But there might be custom rom that enables full usage of the 576MBs.

I got an HTC Pro Three too, the pre release version of HD2.
So you mean, this device has 448mb too? its just that 320MB is the allocated RAM to the user, and the 128MB are for graphics? that's odd, because currently with the latest Artemis ROM, i do have maximum of 60 to 65MB of free RAM available (this rom has the highest free ram i have ever tried) which limits my device's activities, i can't do multi taking that much.
So with the 448MB HD2 (official), there is also a hidden RAM of 128MB so that it can be unlocked and make use all (576MB) of the 128MB, which i assume is also dedicated for graphics. ( 448 + 128 = 576MB ).
I think that these two devices are different in terms of RAM (HD2 and the pre release of HD2).
For the HD2, hacking the ROM and using 2.06, 2.07 and 2.08 (2.10) radio versions will make the 576MB free to the user, thus eliminating the rom to dedicate the 128MB to graphics.
While for the HD2 Pre Release (HTC Pro Three), has a total of 320MB of RAM, 128MB is dedicated to the video and hidden from the user. I would like to think also that the radio versions mentioned above will be able to unlock the hidden 128MB, but IMO, there should be a different rom hack for this HTC Pro Three, as the hack applied on the HD2 (448MB ) won't apply here.
Any tips from the cooks how to make the rom for hd2 (448mb) 576MB ram compatible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i flashed tons of roms and radios but none seem to "activate" this hidden ram.
right now im on duttys HG ultimate with its preinstalled 2.08 radio (it said it would activate ram)
before i was running miri build 23549 with 2.06 radio and still nothing.
but than again, is it possible for a tmous leo to get this activated?

It's not "fake" as it is actually hardware, and physically present in the hardware of the phone.
The 2.06 Radio itself doesn't enable it, nor does any other radio for that matter. It is a combination of the ROM with the settings modified and the Radio which allows the phone to access the memory that is physically installed in the European HD2, but blocked in these ROMs "officially."
To my knowledge, only a two Radios (from the TMOUS ROM) actually allow the access of the blocked memory by the ROM. 2.07 and 2.08 versions with 50 and not 51 in their string codes.
IF you were running Miri's with a 2.06 radio, you did not see it activated.
It is also important to remember that the 576MB of memory is not going to be free or available in its entirety, because the system takes a part for itself to run the graphics system, etc.

that T-Mob 576mb is crap and chefs should stop cooking them couse if you like T-Mob rom's go and buy that idiotic phone,i would never put that crap on mine at all,i just love the originals rom's cooked before T-Mob come out,all i can see is 576mb rom
The 576 mb ram is for real. Believe or not it's your choice, but it has been proven several times over. However we have enough ram already and some cooks may choose not to use it. If you are going to cook ROM's for a TMOUS device then it is good to use the 576 RAM.

Can anyone recommend a rom that only enables the RAM and nothing else? is it hard to cook one myself?
i asked this question allot but with no answer , does activating the 576 mb of ram requires the tmobile us radio and rom , or things are different on android , as i have 1.66 rom and 2.10 radio and it shows 422 mb of ram
That's all the kenel enables.....i think the rest is used to load android on the ram, but I'm probably wrong on the last part

i think may be they are fake values , as nither my radio nor my wm rom has 576 mb enabled , i really cannot understand how 576mb is enabled without having the suitable radio
depending onthe radio rom your using ...it will access the 576 mb ram so
in theory i guess if its avalible it can be used by the build maker

i have trouble with my first HD2 Rom but that I had with my Polaris...
I will create my own German Rom and Release here...
But i have problem with the program memory.
After first boot i have ONLY !!!56MB!!! free Program Memory, Duttys Rom have 277MB!!
I have only added: PIM, Flashlight and 3D Drivers
and I remove: AlarmSounds, AUTOUPDATE, Bth_HID, IRDA, VoIP, VoIPOS, Webview, WelcomeCenter, WMMoneyWidget, WMWeatherWidget, BCR, JETCET and GPSCopilot
576MB enabled (with Radio 2.08 and 3.14 source)! Payload is reduced.

Webview is an important package with a wm 6.5.x build,ok this isnt related to your problem.
56 mb free.....tell me how much is Total available memory and used?
Check....your windows start up folder for any unwanted program.
Check....the running process with FS_taskmanager.
Check....resolution of your icons......some 256x256 icons are a pain for gwes.exe ,90x90 is the better choice.
If you use hspl you must have nk.exe from tmus 2.14.I think duttys rom has nk.exe from tmus.
If you use stock european rom then you must remove hspl, install mama stock rom and then stock 3.14 and then flash with sspl your own rom.

Ahhhh....your problem is not the Ram but the Storage !!EDIT: or maybe your was a typo error.
Problem Ram: change your NK with TMOUS one.
Problem Storage : Use LZX compression and dont Recmode anything in your BASE package but NTConfig.dll!!
There are many other thing to gain some Mb in storage....like, deleting the default pictures in HTC Album,for Leo this save just 7 Mb.

Dont understand any of this need help!
I have just got a replacement HTC HD2 unlocked my previous was o2, this is with RAM size 576 MB and Flash Memory size 512 mB. but the Storage memory shows 119 MB free of 176 I have nothing installed at all. My problem is the Program memory total 208 only and in use 156 and free 52 ONLY no programs are running all i have to do is browse pictures and the phone FREEZES and PICTURES ARE ALL BLURRY. I I understand the PROGRAM MEMORY NEEDS TO BETTER THAN 50 MB.
Please i dont understand any of the above can some please please give me step by step guide to fix this and also the files to get this done,

Are you using a stock rom? That's what it sounds like. If so, this is the wrong forum.
Disable as much HTC garbage as you can-that will free up RAM.
Hello guys, why do you never yet created a fix that allows you to take full 576MB of RAM on our phone? I with this version I can use only 400-odd that are cut in half since I obviously on a ROM hd, even if we have a radio that activates the 576 mb? thanks

I use 2.15.50.14 radio which is the last, it should enable WM to 576 MB of RAM.
