what sort of benefits could i get from this radio being a tmous user already? i know that there wont be 3g support, but will enable fast edge speed or reception?

I have Windows XP - russian version.

yes ram after flash 576 MB
the tool is in Chinese but I know all the buttons

When I flash this Radio ROM on TOM v1.1 (based on 2.02) I have only 209MB of memory, before it was 338. In hardware info it states 576... but free memory is 42MB. Before this radio rom free memory was 160MB..
Any idea ?
It seems that it shrinks memory for additional 128 instead of unhiding

What's the deal with all these new radios...? In the last 3 days a number of new radios appeared and i want to know which is better or what are the diferences ? :

LEO_Radio_2.07.50.27_2 (latest)
all have new ram compatibility but which has better reception or performance without battery drain ?

Do this upgrade clears memory?.. Is it necessary to install anew all apps?

No it does not clear memory. So your apps are fine.

Tried to load twice on RUU 1.48 RUS.
Both of its has not gone.

Do you have flashed with this radio in a cooked 2.02 ROM or in the official 1.66 one?
My question is... does it activate extended RAM in stock 1.66 ROM?

I flashed this latest radio which is supposed to enable 576MB RAM, but it still says 448MB on my hardware sheet. Does anyone know why?

you need to use it in conjunction with a rom that enables the hack.

get Duttys HG v09 - awesome ROM! come with 2.07 in the ROM but you can flash it to 2.08 after. I did and its fine!

Dont for get the total memory available for programs will show 448mb available total, because 128 is reserved for graphics. (So on a non 576 enabled rom you would actually see 320mb available total)

Actually i have the duttys ROM and i would like to know if there's a possibility to enable the 576 MB (RAM size).

after the installation of "Duttys_LEO_Sense_2.5_5.2.23544.5.5.0_2.10_HG_Ultimate_Radio_2.08.50.8.2_V1.1_WWE" i have in the hardware information always 320MB (RAM Size).
So i'm thinking that it's not possible to unlock hidden memory (if there's), in my model (i have a pre-release of HD2).
Any help is appreciated.

may be it comes with 320 ram only but i have heared that flashing newer radios enable 448 of ram

A Pre-Release?
Also there are guides on how to obtain the full RAM.

I have the same device T8585 with 448 MB Ram - on the hardware info page -
But it seems to work with only 336MB Ram on the Task Manager page :/

I haven't found anything that solves the situation.
I tried many ROMs (with 576 enabled), but i always have in the hardware information 320MB (RAM Size). So if you know some link, documents, ROM, please send me detail.

Alright stock hd2 should have 448 ram on it no matter what, i had rom 1.43 and i had 448mb ram now im using Energy's rom and i have 576 ram flashed alot of other roms with 576ram enabled and i havent got any probs.
Be sure to flash the correct Radio/Rom cuz from what ive read on the forums only a few radio's enable 576mb ram hope this helps xD

Humm considering the rom u have and radio it should show u 576mb ram really strange.
Try flashing another rom with ram enabled to test it, if not mayb its just not showing it but the ram is actually enabled
and use MTTY(u can find the sticky in Rom Dev thread) between flashing so u have a clean base.

I have tested many ROMs that says 576MB enabled but the result was always the same (320MB in RAM Size).

There is no upgrade to 448 as this is the standard. If you really got the pre-release some users could see in early videos of the HD2 then this is a hardware-issue which can not be fixed/improved. Only chance i see is to contact HTCs RepairService and ask if a physical upgrade is possible and what it would cost... Sorry Mate
BTW: Where did you get that pre-release ?

The reason to that your only seeing 320/336MB of ram is because HD2 uses 128MB for graphics/graphical acceleration.
So 320+128=448
But if there is a way to further increase the amount of ram to 576MB even if you bought the 448MB edition then i would like to hear about it to!
EDIT: LOL, found just seconds after writing this post that you can flash the newest 2.10 Radio ROM to enable 576MB, but i think that you'll have to install a new Custom ROM to make use of the 576MBs . But you will still have 128MB of the 576MB used to graphics. But there might be custom rom that enables full usage of the 576MBs.

I got an HTC Pro Three too, the pre release version of HD2.
So you mean, this device has 448mb too? its just that 320MB is the allocated RAM to the user, and the 128MB are for graphics? that's odd, because currently with the latest Artemis ROM, i do have maximum of 60 to 65MB of free RAM available (this rom has the highest free ram i have ever tried) which limits my device's activities, i can't do multi taking that much.
So with the 448MB HD2 (official), there is also a hidden RAM of 128MB so that it can be unlocked and make use all (576MB) of the 128MB, which i assume is also dedicated for graphics. ( 448 + 128 = 576MB ).
I think that these two devices are different in terms of RAM (HD2 and the pre release of HD2).
For the HD2, hacking the ROM and using 2.06, 2.07 and 2.08 (2.10) radio versions will make the 576MB free to the user, thus eliminating the rom to dedicate the 128MB to graphics.
While for the HD2 Pre Release (HTC Pro Three), has a total of 320MB of RAM, 128MB is dedicated to the video and hidden from the user. I would like to think also that the radio versions mentioned above will be able to unlock the hidden 128MB, but IMO, there should be a different rom hack for this HTC Pro Three, as the hack applied on the HD2 (448MB ) won't apply here.
Any tips from the cooks how to make the rom for hd2 (448mb) 576MB ram compatible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With this Kitchen you can build a ROM for the Polaris in all available Languages, and several included WM 6.5 builds.
This is whats in it:
Builds : 23088, 23518, 28008 and 28205
Kernels : 6.1 old Kernel and 6.5 Native Kernel (0 Modules in Slot 0)
Lang : All Languages from DaG Rollups included for above builds
OEM : Orig. Polaris 6.1 German (0407)
Ext : All my EXT Packs (TomSteV1 ROM) incl. Manila V2 and several Tweaks (evel Gullum Polaris erviusKitchen), mostly from MEGA
Before you start cooking, you should update the Kitchen to the actual Release.

My Polaris is bricked by accident, so I can't give you any support on this because I ended cooking for it. I'm now awaiting the end of my contract to get a new device. And it will not be an other Polaris. So this thread is only for providing the download.

in the past i have the same problems with error´s in evk...after update to last version all is ok....(use search)

The error I got is in osKitchen not EVK, my EVK works fine too.
Sorry, I mean I got about 20~24 MB free memory when I create ROM with 6.1nk ("Real WM 6.5 AKU" disabled), but if I use 6.5nk ("Real WM 6.5 AKU" enabled), I can get 40~45MB free memory.
About LZZ compression, I think it just impact ROM size, right?
After use LZX compression, my ROM can reduce to 90MB ( from 109MB with no LZX )

After I check my Cruise, I didn't have these keys.
I think it is because I cook ROM with our language (0404), so it need more RAM and flash size than WWE (0409).

Yes...think it´s ok ....think it was delete by another person...( in the past i delete it it save about 10 mb)

free memory isn't what 6.5nk is about, but mem slots (4 total)...free memory is 85mb (3d driver compatible) or 101mb (2d compatible)...

a little correction total mem not free...i wish
hummm...well if that log is correct it is wm6.5 nk...but you do have very few modules...im gonna take some time and check this better...if its a true nk...all cooks can say goodbye to recmod

well 1st test was, inconclusive!
...cooked on this kitchen with and without wm65 nk and in both "native kernel" is negative...guess im going to wait for next SYS release so i can test it again cause now ive already recmodded my SYS for old kernel...
i still think its fake cause for it to be native newer OEMs should existe and that is not the case...but only after testing it fully will i rule this as fake (unless someone already knows the answer)...

Which tool you used? EVK?
I am using EVK 1.8.2 and need remove "set OLDKERNEL=1" from kitchen_build_rom.bat when I enable Real "WM 6.5 AKU" otherwise platformrebuilder.exe will crashed.
For my testing, it can boot and works fine now. The only different than my old nk.exe is I can get more free memory...
I will try to put more modules as possible and to see it works or not...
By the way...I am using 28005 and didn't verify other version yet...

i have coocked a rom with the "wm6.5 NK" and with 580 modul´s (OS Modul´s intead of OS Files and so on)
Wm 6.5 boots and run fine...but i don´t see any speed or space advantages (profit)
but it run´s fine..and we know with 6.1 nk...is max about 530 modul´s
so it´s real....???!!!??!?

i have coocked a rom with the "wm6.5 NK" and with 580 modul´s (OS Modul´s intead of OS Files and so on)
Wm 6.5 boots and run fine...but i don´t see any speed or space advantages (profit)
but it run´s fine..and we know with 6.1 nk...is max about 530 modul´s
so it´s real....???!!!??!?

im currently checking this...but dont expect any big "profit"...some devices were even slower with native kernel...speed comes from oem's (aka oem drivers)...

How much free RAM on official 3.14 ROM?

Hi,
how much free RAM do You have on official 3.14 WWE ROM?
On previous, official 1.66 WWE ROM I had about 160-170 MB, but on 3.14 I have only 105-115 MB free!
I have only CHT 2.0 beta installed, on 1.66 ROM I had CHT 1.8.5.
Is there any way to fix it (besides downgrading to 1.66 ROM)?

What do You have installed and running in background? Do You use CHT?

T-Mobile HD2 is a different animal, so it cannot be compared to "normal" Leo.
Either way I am using 30 MB more than both of You. I am starting to wonder why...
Any ideas?

I know what is running. Problem is I don't know why the everyday processes like filesys, device, cporg, services, gwes use so much memory.
Any idea?

did you remove HSPL before upgrading yoyr ROM ?

When i See your values i must have an issue:
Storage
Total: 174
Used:61
Free: 113
Program
Total: 208
used 192
Free 15
There's no program running in background, it's the official european 3.14 version, do you have an idea why there is so much difference between us?

Because you didn't remove HSPL on your device you have a force limited available free program memory.
Return back to previous stock rom
Remove HSPL (use HSPL2_RUN.exe and select a SPL version
Reinstall stock ROM 3.14

In Settings - About phone - Hardware information RAM size is 448MB.
In SD card & phone storage is written that Total program is 366MB
Is this the same?

Do you think it really makes differences?

only one fix..... dont run 3.14 rom with any spl except 3.03.0000

when you will install the latest 3.14 stock Rom, your actual spl version will be update to the 3.03.0000 version automatically (as long HSPL is removed)!
