i've been reading around the forums but couldnt reach a final conclusion of whether to install the hotfix. the screen freeze really bugs me, but on the other hand if it will cause pauses during phone calls, i'd rather not have it. are there any complications when u install it on ROM less than 1.19 or do the phone call pauses only happen if u install it on ROM 1.19 and more. thank you
I used it on 1.14 and never experienced any call freezes.
I have since been using 1.19. As I understand it you cannot install this fix onto it as it is already included in the 1.19 build.
thanks for the quick reply. but why were there people complaining of freezes during phone calls.
as stated on htc site, it's only for <1.19 ROMs

Same here! I use 1.14 with no freezing problems after the installation and no problems with phone calls!
I tried to download it recently and it says the site has been removed?
Hi,
I have the dutty rom 2.9 on my touch hd. Everytime I recieve a call the phone will only ring once and then switch to a voice announcement of the caller's ID or number. Does anyone know how to turn this off and stick with normal standard continous ring alert? I have searched everywhere in settings, there is nothing obvious that stands out.
Also what is the difference between Dutty's MSVC and CVSD? Which should i be updating with?
Thanks
Have you got Microsoft voice command? The setting for it is in settings\personal.
HAHA, Yes. Sorted now. Thanks.
Can anyone help with the Dutty Rom question?
Is it really worth me upgrading from 2.9 to 3.2? It seems to freeze everytime I try through Active Synch, any ideas why?

You should really be asking these questions in Duttys threads. The reason why your phone freezes during upgrade to V3.2 is most likely because you haven't used USPL again before you flash. All Duttys latest roms based on 1.56+ roms you'll need to use USPL before every flash as USPL is only temporary. Alternatively use HSPL so you don't need to continually have to use USPL, though HSPL is permanent
Links to latest HSPL and also guide on flashing to 1.56 based roms can be found in my signature
Hi. I've tried to install a few new roms to my device but after installing it i couldn't hear any voice in my ear when i was calling and the other person also couldn't hear me. After pressing the end call button the phone almost everytime frozen and i had to take out and put back the battery. Could you please help me with this problem?
Thanks
Hi, although you haven't said what ROM's you are talking about some ROM's require a radio update too. Could this be the case? It's probably better posting your issue in the custom ROM section.
i've noticed the same thing (so far i've tried only Energy ROMs)
i think ill be reverting to the original ROM soon
at a guess i'd say it was a radio issue, check out the radio thread in the roms section and upgrade to a newer one i.e 2.08 and this should solve the problem
Hello,
I'm currently running Hyperdroid CM7 2.1.0 with radio 2.15.50.14. I've been receiving complaints about my call quality for quite some time now. Some people describe it as ''standing in a bathroom'' and others as ''standing near a busy street'' when neither is the case. This is not a new issue, I've had it with all android ROMs I've tried so far.
People can barely make out what I'm saying. I've tried reinstalling the ROM as well as deleting default.acdb in etc/firmware (suggestion from some other threads I found). Sadly, neither resolved the issue. Found some other threads where people had this issue and they all fixed it by installing rom [x] and following some specific steps. The roms mentioned in these threads haven't been updated since '10 so I'm not very inclined to try those.
Anyone have any ideas that could possibly help?
Thank you for your time.
Edit: Fixed! Copied the files mentioned in this thread to system/etc/firmware and I'm no longer experiencing any issues!
Hello,i installed a few wp7 roms on my hd2,including XBMOD and HD2O,but all of them have the same problem-too low in call volume-when i speak with someone they cannot hear me.I tried changing the registry value as described in the sticky thread ,but it did not help at all.I also tried switching between 2g and 3g but it didn't help either. So is there any way to fix this, because i'd like to use wp7 for a while, but if it cannot be fixed i'm moving back to android?
I've used win7 for helf a year now and didn't face that problem
Anyone else have such a problem???
Not me. have you tried to do task29 and reinstall magldr and Wp7? Or maybe to change the radio version? Or try with different ROM.

I changed 3 different radios ,none of them is better than the others.I tried 3 different roms-they have the same issue.I tried full wipe and clean install-no effect.
When i flash android back- the incall volume if perfect-loud,clean.
Ideas?

Ok try this:
1. Do task29
2.Install WinMo 6.5 (I prefer Dutty's V25)
3.Now install MAGLDR and Wp7 without Task29 (Install over it)
I have some issues with installing Wp7, but I learned that Task29 mess-up with Wp7 installation.
Now if this failed try reverting to stock ROM, and install everything again.
It didn't work.
Then i did task29,installed maglrd and wp7(yuki's rom),and still no effect.Strange thing is that when i turn on the speaker, they hear me well, but when i turn the speaker off-they hear me as if i am 10 metres away from the phone-very very silently.
Ideas?
mine is too loud,to an extend that sound sounds crappy,
its something to do with the builds only,Yuki is working on it,(i dont noe abt others,m sure they must be working as well ),check out his thread as well..
btw m using XMOD v.1.11, and i LOVE it (gnna try out yuki's tonight as well)

I'm having the same problem:
- overall phone sound is to loud
- incall mic volume is low to the point that the person on the other end can barelly hear me.
Is there a reg key for the mic volume?
As far as i know, there is not. There is a reg key to increase in call volume, but it actually increases in call volume of the hd2,not the mic.I still haven't found a fix for this bug
We should post here all we do. I have tried to flash 2 radios, and nothing, also i have flash WM6.5 HD2O and I came from Android 2.3, i don't remember the rom name . Anyone have tried to re-flash HSPL-2.08?
Greetings
It is true that NoDo roms for HD2 have new radios from HD7? If this is true, we can flash 2.15.50.14, unless, this post could be interesting http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080950
Greetings
Ive been using wp7 since dft first released it and ive also tried all the roms, never had this problem, although ive seen a few people reporting this.... so ive have a look around.
...btw task29 is overrated and ive never done it

I said the same, anybody knows the fix? I want to use WP7, i love this, it seems so sexy.
Greetings
I have just flash WP7 7592 with marketplace by elfinlazz and all works correctly, only the camera with flash but the mic seems works fine, this is really big, the HD2 will never die.
Greetings.
bringing this back...
I'm using the latest mango rom from HD20 1.23B1 and have this issue. The speaker volume is too high even at 1 and the mic is too low. The other person in the call can't hear me unless I'm talking really loud. I might go back to android if there's no fix...everything is just so good except this bug. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
