No you cannot install HSPL by micro sd card. There is another thread on here asking the same question.

[Q] PROBLEM! NAND ANDROID HTC HD2 without SDCARD

Please help...
I have TMOUS HTC HD2 with no working SD card SLOT.
I want install android to NAND and use mobile without SD CARD.
It is possible install some android without SD CARD? It is possible install android from computer by USB cable?
I try first android DFT_Android (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620=android+2.3)
But it is old, it is possible install some a newer?
And - if i install DFT_ANDROID, i cannot install applanet -
It write message, that it needs an SD card .... can be appplanet loaded into internal memory? how to do it?
I want use HTC HD2 totally without SD card (SD CARD slot not working)!
Thank
possible but not probable.
CWM utilizes SD Card, ie picking up the update.zip (or any *.zip) from SD Card mainly. So you can rule out CWM.
DFT, sounds like it's only DFT for you, and flash from Windows. So you can "limit" your search for DFT ROMs that doesn't require any SD Card.
Good luck!~
This thread should probably be in the Q&A forum, but besides that, doesn't CLK store Clockwork mod on nand? Might be worth asking within that thread.
you could install roms with adb commands (MAGLDR/cLK Versions) and/or fastboot (in cLK versions).
You must unzip the rom and begin to flash/copy each partition/folder from command line.

I was thinking that, I know with fastboot you can flash .img files straight to the NAND, but I don't know if it would work, and whether you could build the system.img/boot.img easily enough yourself.

1) can you publish some tutorial for flash some ROM without CD CARD?
2) i cant set storage of photo to internal memory. This setting missing in DFT_Android. I cant make photo, because still write INSERT SD CARD and I have no setting for storage.
3) install apk files I can via HTC SYNC. Thanks...
Doesn't your HD2 have any storage? Not understood if your HD2 has NO SD card but some kind of hard wired storage in place of an SD card, or it has a faulty SD slot. ** by SD we of course mean microSD.
if it has an SD storage even if hard wired, MAGLDR has the ability to format the SD as well as mount it as USB storage.
in my earlier installs of Android NAND, I rarely took the SD card out of my HD2, because MAGLDR conveniently does it all.
- formating the SD card (FAT32 and inclusive of an EXT3 partition)
- mounting as USB storage so you can copy the CWM zip file to the SD
good luck and tell us how it goes.
my hd2 with android nand doesnt read the full SD card. can anyone help?

Be more specific please?
How big is the SD card?
How much can your HD2/Android use?
** could the rest be used as EXT3 extension for the Android System?

[Q] Restoring original ROM - USB port broken

The charging port in my HD2 doesn't work, have tried different cords and connections (wall/USB). Also I have another HD2 that charges fine with these cables.
My HD2 is still under warranty - but I have HSPL/MAGLDR/Custom ROM/CWM flashed
My SD card is FAT32
I got the original TMOUS ROM from the HTC website renamed RUU_Signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh and put in root of SD card.
When I enter the boot loader it just sits.
I reformatted the card FAT32 in Windows 7 and put the file back, still nothing.
The red/green/blue/white screen says:
"SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE" and CotullaHSPL below that
I did read something about not being able to use the SD method w/ SPL > 2.0 - is this the problem?
Is there any way to flash the device w/o a usb connection?
the sd card method, what size card are you using?
try this ...
1. get a 2 gb sd card... make sure it works
2. format using XP - other hd2 that works -
3. Make sure battery isnt under 50%
try again to flash the rom
2GB SD Card did the trick
Thanks!

Windows Phone 7 formatted the SD cart as FAT16, MAGLDR can't read this format.
You can reformated with a SD card reader and a any partion manager program, format as FAT32 and MAGDLR will work.

If they used the XBmod-Yuki 7720 ready ROM rather than HD2Owner's V1.20 WP7 Build 7720 [test ver. 1] their SD cards were formatted with Microsoft's WP7 proprietary SD format. This explains why their SD card readers could not recognize their cards. This by now is a well known issue, and therefore the search link I gave above may be quite useful.
I Had Same issue. just solved it now, i had to re-flash with the old rom with memory card inserted, installed DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab which unlockes your SD card again, unlocked my memory card, then switch off, put into USB flasher mode and reflash with 7720 image and now unlocked SD card, detects ok again now all working
got both my SD cards working now with 7720, had to update phone to 7392 first with one card before i could unlock it. the previous rom drivers were no good with some cards.
Couldnt use or detect the card with any partitioning or Formatting software until i unlocked it in Windows phone 7 with DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab
hope this helps some others?

Perhaps try putting into a USB card reader or SD card adapter, then try seeing if the computer recognizes it.

Yeah get yourself a SD card adaptor to put your SD card in and then put it in the SD card slot on your computer, or if you do not have one get a USB SD card reader to put the adaptor in. They will run you something like 8 to 10th dollars USD for both to get them.
Also your card is like this bot because you erased the MBR on your SD card. It is because on the first boot of WP7 it formats your memory card with a RAID format so it can use your SD card as internal memory. You have to do a low level format of the card to remove it. Once the low level format is done you will have to do a full format of it again with Fat32
This is for others that well read this, if you flash a WP7 ROM and it boots up but you so not like it or it does not work right. Do not, I repeat do not try flashing the ROM again or try flashing another WP7 ROM before doin the low level format and then a Fat32 format on your SD card. If you do you will probably end up with a trashed SD card.
Thanks i will try that..
No, i cant do nothing... i try with a external sdcard reader over usb and the sdformater just stops working when i start or do a refresh. i try with others sd cards and the new sdcard reader works good...
Any more ideas?

micro sd not recognized

hi dudes. I have one little problem with my micro sd card. I installed wp7 on my htc hd2 without the card and now my hd2 can not recognize it... What should i do to recognize it?
Simple .. wipe and flash the ROM with SD card in again and when Load "WPH 1234" appears, just do hardreset (volUp+volDown, then 2x VolDown)
If this will not help, you can try reflash to winmo and everything again or other SD card.
