[Q] Restoring original ROM - USB port broken - HD2 General

The charging port in my HD2 doesn't work, have tried different cords and connections (wall/USB). Also I have another HD2 that charges fine with these cables.
My HD2 is still under warranty - but I have HSPL/MAGLDR/Custom ROM/CWM flashed
My SD card is FAT32
I got the original TMOUS ROM from the HTC website renamed RUU_Signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh and put in root of SD card.
When I enter the boot loader it just sits.
I reformatted the card FAT32 in Windows 7 and put the file back, still nothing.
The red/green/blue/white screen says:
"SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE" and CotullaHSPL below that
I did read something about not being able to use the SD method w/ SPL > 2.0 - is this the problem?
Is there any way to flash the device w/o a usb connection?

the sd card method, what size card are you using?

try this ...
1. get a 2 gb sd card... make sure it works
2. format using XP - other hd2 that works -
3. Make sure battery isnt under 50%
try again to flash the rom

2GB SD Card did the trick
Thanks!

Im trying to install the radio 1.14...
I copied the BLACIMG.nbh file on my SD, I go to the bootloader mode and it says NO IMAGE FOUND or something like that ;/ what should I do? ;/
try another microSD card (if you have one) or use the standard laptop/PC method. i have a 16GB microSD card that has the same problem as yours, so i use a backup 4GB card just for flashing.
Make sure you have copied .nbh file into root directory of SD card, and yes try another card if still not working. Also try pc method by connecting pc to HD using usb cable.

[Q] hd2 stock on stick together screen please help

hd2 tmous stock on stick togeter screen, tried tri-color usb to flash hardSPL 4, but ended with critical error usb connection failed. Tried sd card flash official rom but got stock on the progress bar at about 5%. any one have more suggestions of any other methods i can try to fix it? thanks
The SD Card method possibly failed due to too big an SD Card - make sure that it is less than 8GB.

i am using 8gb micro sd, alone with android files from another phone
See if you can either borrow or buy a 1 or 2GB microSD Card. Format it to FAT32 and copy LEOIMG.nbh (that you already had) onto it.

EnergyRom flash and MicroSD not detected anymore

1. I was checking files on my 8GB card in file exproler
2. I removed my 8GB card
3. Install of HSPL 3.03
4. Formatting new 2GB card with FAT32, copying radio rom on it, shutdown and pressing power+volume_down...
5. Boot loader or how its called came up but flashing did not begin...I'm guessing because of filename...
6. I've turned the device on and flashed the rom using USB with CustomRRU.exe
7. After that I flashed with energy rom, USB with CustomRRU.exe
8. Everything was fiine with flashing...going trough settings...
9. I inserted my 8GB card back but file exproler or any other application can't see it.
If I connect the device without card I get 2 options:
- ActiveSync
- Modem
If I connect it with card I get all 3 options
- ActiceSync
- Modem
- Disk Drive
So...the device obviously knows that the card is inserted but it can't access it...
I don't know if the problem is hardware or software...
put it into a card reader then use Easeus free edition to remove the partitions and reformat the card as primary fat 32 job done
I have fixed the problem...
I tried another microsd and it worked...then I tried my microsd again and somehow it worked too...miracle I guess...I tried taking out and putting it back before...reseting the device...but now it suddenly works...
I was just going to try you formatting advice but I decided to try another microsd before...thanks anyway
That's got something to do with data stored on SD by the old OS.
If you change OS you should format your SD with a card reader or at least you should delete Applicaton Data and Program Files folders on SD.

Need help flashing stock rom from sd card

Ok guys I need some help here. My buddy's hd2's usb port will not work. I need to reflash windows back so he can send off for warranty. Anywho, when I follow steps to install windows from sd card it just sits at the bootloader screen. It reads as follows: PB81120 HX-B3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x50
Help. Thanks. Scott
sd card must be 4gb or smaller. (Rarely people find a bigger one that works, but very very rarely) the supplied tmous 16gb card deff wont work.
I'm using a 2 gig that has been formatted properly.
fat32 formatted? which stock rom you trying? and are you correctly extracting and renaming leoimg.nbh?
Yes fat 32 formatted. Rom is:RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.0_Radio_15.42.50.09U_2.14.50.04_LEO_1.5_Ship.exe . Copied \RUU_signed.nbh to root of sd card and renamed it leoimg.nbh. When I power up phone to bootloader nothing happens.
strange. gotta go down the fault finding route then,
try formatting the card again, doing a full format, not quick, make sure there isn't still an ext partition or anything on there, re-download the rom, download a different version (2.10 or 2.13), try an alternative way to transfer the leoimg (example, the usb transfer in magldr can corrupt large files), try another card, , , happy bug hunting.

Male sure LEOIMG.nbh is on the root of the SD card (not in a folder). Also I've heard reports that the file is case sensitive, should be LEOIMG.nbh. format the SD card from within your phone if possible and try again.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I can vouch for the filename case not making any difference.
Thank you
Thanks for your help. My buddy had to send it in today because they sent him an hd7(boo), but at least he can sell it on craigslist. He is just going to send it in as is and hope for the best. He bought the phone off craigslist so he's just gonna play the dumb card and say he thought that was the way it was supposed to be. Can't hurt. Thanks again, Scott.

Perhaps try putting into a USB card reader or SD card adapter, then try seeing if the computer recognizes it.

Yeah get yourself a SD card adaptor to put your SD card in and then put it in the SD card slot on your computer, or if you do not have one get a USB SD card reader to put the adaptor in. They will run you something like 8 to 10th dollars USD for both to get them.
Also your card is like this bot because you erased the MBR on your SD card. It is because on the first boot of WP7 it formats your memory card with a RAID format so it can use your SD card as internal memory. You have to do a low level format of the card to remove it. Once the low level format is done you will have to do a full format of it again with Fat32
This is for others that well read this, if you flash a WP7 ROM and it boots up but you so not like it or it does not work right. Do not, I repeat do not try flashing the ROM again or try flashing another WP7 ROM before doin the low level format and then a Fat32 format on your SD card. If you do you will probably end up with a trashed SD card.
Thanks i will try that..
No, i cant do nothing... i try with a external sdcard reader over usb and the sdformater just stops working when i start or do a refresh. i try with others sd cards and the new sdcard reader works good...
Any more ideas?
