I wanted to be able to send one txt to many people, but the maximum limited of recipients is 10 can this be changed in anyway?

I don't know what the registry hack for this is, but you can bump it up to 50 with BsB Tweaks.

Tell me about it, how do they expect you to tell everyone your new number. I sent a business card with my number from HD2 and nokia phones will not accept the format of it.
You can use BSB Tweaks 1.6 or you the following reg key
Go to registry,
HKLM\Software\Jataayu\Messaging\MaxRecipients
Change from 10 to 50

you need a registry editor to do that. i use PHM RegEdit. It's an old program but does the job... and its free. just google it or use search function here.

Thank you for the suggestion. However, my phone don't have "MaxRecipients" in the registry. ie HKLM\Software\Jataayu\Messaging. That's it. What should I do from there?

Decided to use the BSB Tweaks apps and poof... it works straight away. Now no more maximum recipient of only 10 people. Thanks guys!
I can't find "jataayu" in my Resco Registry at hklm/software/jataayu ?
sms max only 50?
I was able to go to the registry and change it to 200. But is there a way to change BsB to more than 50?
The "Advance Config" tool lets you change it to unlimited but BsB takes priority.
Registry max recipient set at 450 failed
I tried to set the key at 450 but when I select group at 420 something very strang happen, after select all recipient, I click send but I get error, that the message cannot be send. and I find it back in draft as MMS.
I flash the Rom with three different Roms but every time the same problem, the message is changed the be send as MMS and not SMS.
So maybe someone tried different way and found out until how many recipients we can set?

I saw a cab somewhere in the Diamond thread which stopped the keyboard popping up whenever one opens an email , a text message, or something that might remotely require text input. I have spent the last couple of hours searching for it but to no avail. anybody know how to turn this facility off please?

Excellent find - after a soft reset this works on the Kaiser too, much better than faffing around with nullkb and PQz et al.

For all you guys who can't find it (it didn't exist on my Tilt):
In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip, you need to to create a new Value. Name it, "TurnOffAutoDeploy" (without the quotes), make it a DWord, and set the value to 00000001, like MRE-net said. Save it, soft reset, and it works like a charm.

Make sure it is Decimal and just fill in 1 and not 0000001. 1 = on 0=off
Also make sure the new key you've created is a DWord and not a StingValue.
Alternatively you can copy the attached DisableKeyboardPopUp.txt file to your device import it into your registry. Make sure you rename the file to DisableKeyboardPopUp.reg

and set dword to "0", this setting also affects the sound for incoming SMS. I've tested several times and I'll get no sound. Set back to "1" and I'll get notified again. Can I disable threaded SMS and still get notified? If yes, how?

I think you modified the wrong value. To disable threaded SMS change:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
from 0 to 1.

i couldn't even get rid of the bubble notification saying that i have 20 free sms after sending 10 more. all i can dismiss is the message sent notification. and why does it have to have a sound!
i've read about doing something about the registry, but i can't seem to figure that out. i just bought my phone a few days ago and this is the first time i encountered this as i've been a nokia / samsung user before.

For a next time when you do want to change registry use this program and do soft reset after changes......but be careful...any mistake can screw up your phone!

Yep, that also works..... Although SK Tools is not freeware.....
...But it costs as much as three ice cream, and is more secure than the manipulation of the registry...

But Registry manipulation is fun .
Another software - which is much better than SK tools in hacking system settings is Advance Config (requires .Net CF 2.0 or higher).

Fully agree..... have a paid version and every month there is an update......for those same 3 icecreams.....
btw if you order via US websites there is the advantage of euro/$..at least for me.....but Zloty is getting stronger lately......

Hey everybody, I just cant seem to get my head around this, could someone please help me out
Im trying to make WM SMS the default SMS client in my Leo Rom (Like NRGZ28 does)
I tried the cab by zenkinz:

And it works great but I cant seem to cook it in.
I used an CAB to EXT utility to try and make a package out of it, and it half worked, however when in the htc sense people list, scrolling across to the text tab, gives me a black screen.
so then I tried add2config (I thought this would be the best solution, so people could uninstall the cab and use normal htc messaging if they wanted to) however with this, the phone is constantly stuck in the initial customization ( I expect its something to do with the prompts you get when installing the cab)
so finally I tried this, I didnt cook in the htc messaging client at all, and I added this reg tweak in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCMessaging\Compose]
"ExecPathName"="Tmail.exe"
But this is giving me the same black screen when on the text sub tab of the people tab.
Can someone PLEASE help me get this sorted please its really getting me stressed

Try disabling these packages: HTCMessage, HTCMessaging_Client, Message_Enhancement, Text_Selection.

i just use these methods it works great i dont have that blackscreen ....maybe your reg entries overwriting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its the reg not being good as i have that problem when i take out the reg settings:-o
you can help it by first going to the messaging tab and open a text message there then youre blackscreen will be gone
but then again i only get this problem when i take out those regsettings so i definetly think its the reg not being proccesed right:-o

Nah I solved it for me I was using an ext pkg, supposedly just for games, and I looked at the reg, and its full of messaging reg entries :O
solved now.

Mega, mind keeping this thread updated with entries as they are discovered? Most of them are not specific to the Samsung Ativ S, so it will be useful later down the road.

Windows 7 and 8 are built/based from Vista. Version 6.x.xxxx is Longhorn. Windows 7 has build number 6.1.7600. Windows 8 has 6.2.9200 :silly:

Ahh, thanks for that. Looks like the reg location is completely different. I will continue to look into it, perhaps there is a key to enable the option for disabling the sound (mine is locked by my rom) in which case I would need to match mine against someone else, otherwise a search function searching for keys (shutter.wav) may be useful.
