FIXED: BeeJive JiveTalk on custom ROMS!

Finally!! I've made a set of CAB files that actually installs SQLCEMobile 3.0, and works with BeeJive !!!
Please install this on ANY custom ROM that does not have SQLCEMobile 3.0 already. This even works along side of SQLCEMobile 3.5 that is already included.
The latest BeeJive install can always be found here while its in beta: http://www.beejive.com/wm6/ppc/beta/BeejiveIM.CAB
Inside the attached ZIP file are two CAB files. Install them in the following order:
LennySh_SQLCEMobile_3.0.CAB
BeeJive_Fix.CAB
The second CAB file fixes the mistakes I can't seem to get my original CAB to fix yet. This will make it a two-step process to get this running. This works perfect on my Titan 6800 running WM6.1 with my custom rom build 20721.1.4.0.

Did you download the attachment from the first thread? It shows BeeJive_Fix.zip (1.11 MB, 0 views).

- Working
for 4 weeks use again and : can!t connect, errors.....
- uninstall, install - unable to get key...
I play with LOG file and then... After bad trying stop with this....

PocketMechanic
!!AND!! SkTools
- it found probs with registry - something with sql
FIX registry and?
WORKING!!!!
SO.... I download your file only because I'm gonna to buy Raphael....

the reason you are getting that is because you need to connect to the Internet first, beejive can't connect to the Internet to get the key unless your phone is already connected. Just open your internet browser and than open beejive or click on get key in the menu.

i just have one question:
could you post a .reg file of all the registry tweaks you made in the second cab? (not the sqlcemobile 3.0).
the reason is that i would love to cook this into my rom, but it's a little "messy" with the _setup.xml

If you include SQLCEMobile from a stock ROM, it will work on first boot after a hard reset. The main reason custom ROMs do not work, are because it's either missing SQLCEMobile altogether, or they used SQLCEMobile 3.5 instead of the stock 3.0.

thanks again for this i got it up and working on my phone it's not bad i went to the site and give them some suggestions on the forum and also referenced this thread because there were some people have issues getting it to install on there phones too

Brand new noob to all this ROM changing and adding new progs, had been told beejive was a good util but couldnt get it to work....Followed the real simple explanation on the first page, and can now chat to all my mate on msn, aol and yahoo!!! how cool is that!! Is it possible to also add people on blackberry messenger?? that would be the icing on the cake...or should i just make them get msn??

nice glad to see you got it working i don't believe blackberry messanger has been ported over to wm yet might wanna tell your friends to grab another messanger so they can contact you gmail messanger, yahoo, msn, aim

Tell them to install BeeJive on their Blackberry...

Well, I finally activated JiveIM but it has never successfully logged in
When it's logging in, I can see my another account online but the one is still logging in.
Even it it said failed to login on PPC, I still find it online on my PC
I tried installed in my memory & storage card, NOT WORKING
*sigh*

Disable Sense Text Message Handling [REQ]

Zenyee Disable CAB works. however the SMS Sense Tab still doesn't link to WinMo SMS- anyone know how to fix this

You might want to try again with the steps. I just got done doing mine and it works perfectly. I dont have any of the htc messaging left. Thank GOD. Yeah, uninstall the cab and do the 3 steps again. Good luck

solved
if i understood u correctly, go to ur windows directory, make sure u check show all files, find messaging link and copy it into ur start menu\programs
then when u click on that it opens the old style messaging

Finally! Tried a few other CABS that didn't seem to do anything. This one worked great on my Blackstone too (dutty 4.3 ROM).

Well i'm running Sense 2.5 and the CM one doesn't work, the zenyee one re-enables SMS in the WinMo Messaging app.
after zenyee:
When i click on a text message in the sms tab on Sense 2.5 nothing happens. and when i slide over to sms while viewing a contact, it closes the contact :\
but if i go into my email inbox and swipe to the right i can get to SMS now, it is better than nothing but very annoying. Also when in a call i can't click the sms button to view sms with caller either :\

Have you removed all of the other ones you tried? Maybe, if you feel like it, try the one i linked after a hard reset. I havent tried it on a 2.5 rom myself. Maybe some others willing to try can post results.

Tilt 2 HTC Messaging
To get to the point, I hate the new HTC Messaging. I want desperately to go back to Windows Mobile SMS. I have tried the "Zenyee Disable SMS" cab and it is quite buggy on my Tilt 2. I either don't get the text messages or I receive them hours later. Any suggestions?

[Cab] Leo SMS Fix for HD (new fix cab added)

Hi all,
I made a cab from the 2009-12-15 Leo SMS fix (http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=812&news_id=407), so this can be installed on other devices with Sense 2.5..
I'm on a sense 2.1 rom currently, so can't test it...So be careful, it might break ur SMS function, test with your own risk and always backup (I guess the new 2.02 package has the update already or even a better fix)..

i'm not sure what it fixes... but it doesn't seem to fix the annoying slow messaging thingy... I was just coverting the .exe which can only be installed on HD2 to a cab that can be installed on every device..
I have heard that the htc messaging in the 2.02 pack is fast, anyone tried it?

Am I the only one in this thread that uses the actual HTC site? or do people just like to hijack threads and flame people who are doing what they can to help the community... As I remember no one else knew what the Leo Camera Fix did either, but it proved useful, at least for some.

Looks to me like HTC don't really say what the fix "fixes" but THANKS for creating the CAB, i'll have a look and see what it effects if anything. If it's worth it I'll cook it in for my next flash

Okay, have just installed the CAB.
So far no noticable difference when sending / recieving SMS.
I'm using my own custom ROM, using WinMo 6.5 28014, and most of the packages from Leo 1.48.

When the fix first came out, I tried it but it won't install on hd. and now I learned how to create the cab, so I just made it. I need to have my phone switched on all day right now and I'm with a sense 2.1 ROM, so can't test it, but I thought someone with a lower leo build may want to try it...

have you tried restoring tons of messages to see if the slowness has been somehow fixed ? Last time I've tried with 2.5 the phone almost got stuck (with about 600 messages)

you installed the fix and restored tons of sms, what I'd like to know is this:
- adding a contact with a lot of sms history to favourites slows down the phone ?
- opening such contact slows down everything ?
- I understand there is no sms history shown in the manila contact at all ? actually that point isn't very clear to me. where is that the original message is not shown ?
what I'd like to know, if you have got time to explain it to me, is what actually the fix changes, and how fast it makes opening sms history on a contact.
One last minor point is that a big sms history had most sms cut to one or two lines.

well for from the contact page i cannot tell you as i have flashed my phone a couple of times afterwords(im trying to build my own)
for the sms not shown
when i get a new message i go the message tab and click the sms
there im supposed to see the threaded conversation between the person im replying to
the whole conversation doesnt load(waited about 3 min)
but i can directly type a reply to the text message whitout a lag
hope this sorts of that question

no, the sms fix is only for Leo package lower than 1.49...and the weather fix is for any sense 2.5.. I think 2.1 manila does not need any fix, both sunny animation and sms are working ok in 2.1 manila

TMO USA MMS settings fix?

does anyone have the mms setings fix? so the pictures are full size and not 2kbs and tiny? thanks in advance

Hey - I found one that was supposed to be for the HD2. On my ROM, it was showing settings for a Touch Pro2, so I'm not sure if this is the same as other ROMs out there:

Thanks I have been plagued with tiny pics since November I thought it was just TMOUS because my Xperia X1 did the same thing. Now I don't think I even need to upgrade to the TMOUS branded phone.

No windows, you would need to go into HKLM\Software\Arcsoft and change it from there

It should since, I used the N95 user agent. Try and see, it wont hurt.

I applied the reg string and now my camera flash stopped working. I wrote everything in exactly the way I read it. anyone else have this problem? can someone post the original reg strings cuz I didnt copy mine. yeah I know it was a noob move thx in advance

I'm not sure what everyone is talking about, but when I send a MMS, it displays a small picture, but if you save the file. It's the same actual file I sent.
Is this "fix", supposed to be make it appear bigger in the message itself or are people getting small picture when downloaded also?

I've actually had an opposite problem with the HD2 I got from a Tmobile store on Saturday.... The phone has been attempting to send photos whos file size is too large for mms, yesterday it tried a 1.6 meg picture. Shouldnt it try to automatically resize before sending, or prompt me that its too big? Anyone having the same problem?
HD2 on stock rom.

When Flashing a custom rom the registry gets all messed up and when you receive a pic it downsizes it to like 4k super small on the huge screen.

I had the stock rom for a couple of days and when I tried to send pictures it asked me to downsize. Never had that problem

I'm having a problem with picture MMS, but it's not too small. The problem I'm having is that a picture message will for some reason play as a 10 second video. It's not really a major issue, just annoying to see when I open up the message. Also, I'm seeing that it the file reads 253KB/1024KB. Does that mean that it didn't download completely or what? When I open the mms, I can save the image as a jpg, and it displays fine in my album. Is this happening to anyone else with Tmo US HD2?

SMS Sent. . . . :-S

Im A UK T-mobile user and after the rom update 1.72 everytime I send a sms I get a very enoying sms sent message. . .
is there anyway to stop this . . . .I really hate it

go to Messages> Menu>Settings>Options> Uncheck request delivery report under sms

don't think the OP is taling about an SMS delivery report, its like a notification that stays in your taskbar, i want to keep this there, but for it to disappear after x seconds (say 3)
anyone have any ideas?

Nobody have a quick fix?

Is there an option to turn it off by going to:
Start/Settings/Menu/All settings/Sounds and Notifications/Notifications then selecting an option from the drop down list and making any changes?
I'm still on the original TMobile Rom so have not tried this on 1.72. If this option isn't in the new Rom I'd be interested to know of another fix before I upgrade myself.

good idea happy snapper but just had a look and if you select 'display on screen' then you can click ok and it disappears, as in the stock rom.
great solution mate and btw, i would upgrade if i were you, it makes so much difference that the stock t-mobile rom

i've hesitated installing the new rom as i must be one of the few people who so far has had no problems with the stock rom (2 months!) and thats throwing every bit of wm software i've got at it. i will give it a go on my next free sunday morning though
