Turn your mobile phone into wireless web cam

Hi Guy,
Since the WMWifirouter works so well and so high demand.. Will Xda developer come out a software that can turn our WIFI smartphone (Ad-hoc mode)into webcam & link with our PC? Means to say, PC with yahoo messenger/live messenger able to have video conferencing by starting our WIFI smartphone cam.. Possible??

But, how to set static IP address on my Windows Mobile 6 smartphone? I had create an WIFI Ad-hoc connection to my notebook.. But, where to set IP on my smartphone??

The reason you guys didn't see the mention of warez is because he already edited it.
Anyway, Ateksoft works well.. I've tried it, but your PPC has to be connected via Activesync (via USB or Bluetooth). So I don't know if it will work via WiFi.

I can confirm that WebCamera Plus works over Wifi, as I have tested it...

my software dont seem to work... Only by wifi. I would love to use my 3g connection but the webcamplussrv seems to hook up with a ip adress that is: 169.254.2.2:2047 wich is not my local ip. So whenever I try to connect to my puplic ip I just get timeouts...
Any stuff I missed here?

weather can not update, but internet is fine?

Just flashed a new ROM (AZTOR X), but one strange thing. The internet is OK. I can browser internet with IE or othe program, but the weather data can not be updated? Why?

Strange update problem

All of the sudden my Xperia cannot update:
1. Weather on SE Panels
2. Currencies on MSS Converter (the app saying there's no internet connection available, though there's one running!)
Looks like something stops connecting/using the connection although there's one!
Just to add - X1 perfectly works with all the browsers, email etc.
And SPB weather too...
Any help?

not sure what the problem is, but do you use any R3A beta stuff??
And did you try to soft reset your device and check it again?

The problem is that when I want to update SE panel, what always make it display a current weather icon,
and I press "update" - nothing happens.
The icon is "dead" and shows no temperature.
And MSS Concverter when I choose to update online currencies
or check for updates, it says "no internet connection", however I'm online!.
So looks like my X1 is blocking it??
Well I did softreset my X1.
I don't use any R3 or other beta things,
as well as I don't touch any custom roms.
Maybe somebody?

yeah there is. just go to aim.com or go to google and search aim for windows mobile. its a nice app. i use it siometimes.

I use Fring, which has AIM/YM/MSN/VOIP, etc etc etc included in 1.
Also allows for file transfers, which I use quite a bit.

i use IM+ but there are other apps out there as well

I use palringo. I find that AIM's client is slow and it crashes after using it for a while.

never had any crashes with aim, it works well with me everyday, no custom rom just the latest SEUS update

i tried AIM's official program before... horribly laggy. But that was with R1A. Maybe the R2A firmware performs better with it?

thanks for ur cab.
i installed this application and that went well.
after i input my screen name and password and press sign in, it was on the
loading screen for about 3 minutes. then a error pop up
saying "AIM server error: 12007" do you know waht that is?

I use beejive for aim ... the interface is nice and lte

hmm i soft reset my phone and ran the application with wifi and it worked nicely!!
but now im trying to logg on using edge and its still connection...
if i may ask...wat data connection are u using??

my location is barbados, i am using digicel as my carrier with an unlimited high-speed data plan, it only takes a few seconds for me to connect, i guess its the speed u are connecting with, maybe your edge is slow, i had the same probs with our edge connection as well before i made the switch. when i connect via active sync, the speeds are practically the same as my unlimited data plan which is nearly 1mbps.

Mobile AIM is terrible. I tried to use it, but it is way to laggy. Use BeeJive, it is by far the best I've tried. Very slick, very clean, and very fast interface...plus its free! In terms of its fluid interface, you could be using the iPhone.

(FIX ???) My Location Weather Not Update via WAP GPRS

Hello i have a question.
I never use my Blackstone over GPRS alot because i use everyday WiFi and today i decide to chek out the GRPS all is fine i make the settings and everything work i try with Opera and few other apps im able to surfing in the Net over GPRS but when i click on the weather in TF3D Update ... the weather start to Updating i mean is trying to Update but NOT Update at all also not writing any Error or anything just don`t wana Update!!!
Im Using NRG ROM Wm 6.5 build 23016 with Manila 2.1 Sense like from my signature so do anyone have advace and know WHY i can use GPRS to Surf in the internet also i update my Weather NON STOP over WiFi without a problem but when i want ti update it via GPRS not working?!

"My Location" weather would not work via GPRS.
you need other pre-defined cities. Change to that cities and press update.

Yes thank you i try that and WORK now via GPRS but why the My Location Weather not work via GPRS do u have any idea?
So now i need in the weather tab to have 2 the same Cityes
Can anyone make posible My Location to work too.. because not have any point my Location is the city im now and in the Add city i wana see the weather for the same city that i live now so...

my location only updates when a wifi network is near and found, but it must not be connected to.. its strange somehow, i know. but if a wifi network is near, it works like a charm.

As far as i have tried, you don't even need to have a wifi network near, you just have to have wifi turned on. It's actually quite a bother!!
What i have done is disable my location (i got the cab from Dutty) and just select the city manualy. I don't move around too much so it's not a problem

hm strange, it only works for me (on different roms) if i have wifi networks around me and not, if i only activated wifi.
but doesnt matter.. its strange like it is.

MyLocation may be recovered (by design) using GSM BTS position triangulation or Wi-Fi or GPS. Looks like Manila is able to use only Wi-Fi
Please note that GoogleMaps works even if wifi is disabled (of course with come data connection for example GSM+ActiveSync).
So, if GoogleMaps can work, why Manila is not able to find MyLocation with GSM+AS?
Current behaviour makes not able to synchronize MyLocation (including my location weather) using for example a cradle connected to PC.
I hope there will be some fix for manila.

This is a well known issue with a lot of the latest builds. Unfortunately for My Location to work you need to have wifi turned on, even if you are not using it. Simply done though. Just turn on wifi but do not connect to any wifi networks then update weather using GPRS. It should now work. Then turn off wifi once you are finished

Does someone know, does that issue appear on source devices from which OS components are took (ie HD2)?

I have the same prob. updated radio but that didn't work. I tried the suggestion on the wifi and it works fine! Although I was connected to my wifi network. I think it just needs to have the wifi on.

but why does it need that wifi? can't someone fix this? ( i know i ask quite a lot)

Since our roms are took from another devices, are users of Leo experience the same issue?

I would also like to use My Location over data connection and I've already created a thread in the "Blackstone General" section ("Possible Manila My Location fix??") nobody is able to give me an answer though
I'm also interested if this behaviour also occurs on HD2
