Just flashed a new ROM (AZTOR X), but one strange thing. The internet is OK. I can browser internet with IE or othe program, but the weather data can not be updated? Why?

I am running ttran's Open Touch 4.0 and anytime I try to download the weather info for my city, it never loads with the t-zones internet hack, but when I connect to my wireless at home, it loads right away.
Is there any config i need to alter to make it function right? Or is it just interent speed related.

Did you download the proxy patch for the weather? If so, you need to open the internet explorer, let it load a page or 2, minimize it (just hit start>today) then click on the weather icon. It should update the weather then. It works for me. Good luck with it potna.
Hey, is there anyway I can just download the weather program without installing anything else, I have a t-mobile wing?

do you think you could answer a couple of questions for me about this?
I am with tmobile on there 5.99 tmoweb plan and ia have setup the proxy.
I have installed and configured the patches but have had no success.
I have tried the forced proxy settings as well as the others but no luck yet.
my main question is about the "User-Agent" and "Url" fields. do Ihave to enter any information there or do I leave them blank?

Honestly, I set all this up using the HTC Home Customizer. I put in the cab file, set my city, opened PIE & BAM the weather was on my home screen.

Well Finally, I got it fixed. I used a combination of different peoples cures, so I don really know which on worked.
I first downloaded N2A"s patcher application and the Crimson Editor (great program btw), followed his instructions to the letter and then replaced my 0409cities file with the updated one, suddenly it was working. I added a few other cities to the file and reloaded it and it works perfectly.

as an aside, the HTC Home customizer I have doesnt have the updated cities file so I cant use that apparently.
All of the sudden my Xperia cannot update:
1. Weather on SE Panels
2. Currencies on MSS Converter (the app saying there's no internet connection available, though there's one running!)
Looks like something stops connecting/using the connection although there's one!
Just to add - X1 perfectly works with all the browsers, email etc.
And SPB weather too...
Any help?

not sure what the problem is, but do you use any R3A beta stuff??
And did you try to soft reset your device and check it again?

The problem is that when I want to update SE panel, what always make it display a current weather icon,
and I press "update" - nothing happens.
The icon is "dead" and shows no temperature.
And MSS Concverter when I choose to update online currencies
or check for updates, it says "no internet connection", however I'm online!.
So looks like my X1 is blocking it??
Well I did softreset my X1.
I don't use any R3 or other beta things,
as well as I don't touch any custom roms.
Maybe somebody?

Sorry to hijack your thread but when I click on links in SPB News nothing happens... normally it should launch the web browser. Anyone knows what might be wrong?

sometimes you have to double click the link via spb news.
just tap on the link twice and that should work.

maybe it helps to disable the proxy that your 3g provider settings added..
the proxy is disabled. I even have tired switching off the gsm network and only gave WiFi but still the same problem.
I have tired on my friends device and it works on WiFi.
the only different between both devices is that mind is via service providor and he has brought it offline.

I just tried that but it doesn't work. No matter how fast or slow I click, double click or triple click it cannot launch the web browser. Too bad...

Ok guys, here's a new one for ya:
Everytime i use my facebook application it automatically will save the profile pictures to my photo albums which is really annoying. I un-installed and re-installed it and it still does the same things. I also noticed that it'll take a screenshot of the last web site i used when i use the opera internet on my phone. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I run the phone in desktop mode. Then use google classic not mobile as the search. It uses a little more data but only way I have found to get around the xhtml formatted pages
