Some addons?

Hello all,
First things first: my first post (anyway I've been reading this forum for quite a while, and I love it!)
I have a HTC Touch.
I would like to know if there is a .cab to add the "slide2answer" function fully working as a stand alone addon.
On the other hand I would like you to advise me what kind of "good" software should I install...
PS: please be aware that I have searched on this forum for these answers... perhaps I am too lame to understand them...

There isn't any app like this yet, but HTC has implemented it in Touch HD and we are waiting for a CAB

Does any body want a vanilla rom

but i need it bassed on something or not if u dont want it

It depends on weather its a proper Rom or if its just filepushing like your 'Cronos LightSpeed Supper Rom'
and weather you've learnt to spell...
On a more serious note, anyone can use WinZIP, we don't need someone to spam the forums doing it for us.
Please don't see this as anything against you, its just advice.

I laughed.
And don't ask us if you want a ROM. Just develop, ask for help, improve it before it's launched (do this sequence 3 or 4 times), then release, and be flooded with bugs.
That's how it works.
Also, if someone wants to be my tutor, I'd be very glad.
I'm thinking of starting ROM developing aswell. I don't know what to read first.
And please, don't post cyanogen sticky post link here. I've read it, but it has too much information and I don't know where to start.

Try asking Feeyo and elemag for help. They are very open to give information.
Feeyo in particularly is learning me a lot about how I can create an rom for myself from AOSP. Those 2 are not greedy nor being secretly about how they do things.
Cant say that from that other Team.

I'm sorry but I've one question in my mind and I cant answer for it by my self: why someone buy a "sense/rosie" phone if he want a plain (vanilla) rom? Why that person doesn't buy a N1??

Well, price, I guess. And availability. The N1 wasn't available in my country, unless for an extremely unreasonable price.
Also, I think the N1 is not as sexy as the hero, or the desire...

Wow - there's some 'bad-mood' users around here, ey? We all start somewhere, so give the guy a little slack.
Anyway, if you want my honest opinion, you will struggle in the Vanilla ROM world on these forums. VanillaEclair, aHero, EzHero, CyanogenMod....there are more then enough really good Vanilla ROM's. On the other hand, Cronos, Villain, ChocolateEclair, Kimera....there are also more then enough great Sense ROM's too. It's a tough area to enter into as there is a lot of competition, and I'm sure many users can agree that we have seen some really detrimental side effects of the competition.
So, back to my honest opinion - I don't think anybody wants another vanilla ROM, nor another Sense ROM, unless you have something great to bring to the party, in which case I suggest rather make a public thread with your 'great thing' so that it can be implemented into existing ROM's. At the same time, this is a developement forum, and new developements are obviously always welcome. So, if you have the patience (for bug reports and updates) and decency (to work with the other developers), by all means, bring out a new ROM. I for one will be happy to test and report.

what I would suggest is you make the rom that YOU want to use. not pure vanilla, not pure stock sense, but the features you want most, including the (freely distributable) apps you want to include in the rom.
then you can always post it here in case others like it too.
I'd like to see a rom that doesn't include the standard apps but instead includes preinstalled the best free alternative calendar, widgets, launcher(pro...), alternative gallery, alternative camera, music player, app organizer, and so on.
something that is out of the box really really cool and setup for instant use (the way sense phones are setup from the factory, but using non-sense apps maybe).
that would be worth seeing here. it's been done but recently most popular roms are variations of the same thing and the competition is more about stability, performance, and working hardware. if you can base yours upon an already stable, fast and fully working hero rom (with permission from the authors), then customizing it and repackaging it could be really cool.

Doesn't look like it, though it could be a good initiative to attract more attention and get this ported.
I would love to help if somebody's up for it.

There's been plenty of attention about porting this already.
Besides having the notification widget on the bottom, and weird iPhone like settings, I don't get what makes this rom so special, and why everyone wants it so bad.

I have seen, that there is obviously a port for the Galaxy 3, which is also a MDPI device. So there might be a Chance to see it on our Magic in the near Future...

I suggest we take a look at the Galaxy 3 version and see if we can convert it to Magic =P

well i habe investigate a little bit more and i discover the resulution it's not the same .... so i thing is not gonna work ...

What resolution is it? 480x320? Magics can archieve that with LCD Density of 135.

The image is 240x400. Magics can archieve a larger resolution, so it's certainly very possible imho.

I feel like this should be posted under development, but since I just created a new account, I am unable to post it under that particular subject. So, if one of you kind moderators are reading this, please don't delete this.
I just simply wanted to ask if there was a possibility of porting a Windows Phone 7 rom to the HTC Evo 4g. If so, then could somebody do it for me? I'm a n00b at pretty much everything except for rooting and flashing roms to phones, so I need a little help from the people that know how to do these things.

I'm pretty sure you'd be sued off the face.of the earth by msoft. Wp7 is closed source, android is open.

The only phone that has been successfully ported from WM6.1 to Android and WP7 is the HTC HD2, and that is GSM so it won't work with Sprint.

I'm sorry, I didn't know that it was closed source. I don't really pay attention much to it. I just like the UI, however I dont like that Launcher 7 has like 2 live tiles. Sorry for the trouble.

I just wanted to experiment around with it, not have it for daily use. But I understand why I sound stupid for asking about it xD

Not stupid for asking....just that the question has already been asked. Therefore you either didn't search first, or if you did, you didn't like the reasons behind why it hasn't happened yet so you optimistically created a new thread thinking that a different response would occur.

tried all roms but cant find proper one.

there was a rom in development section but the developer of the rom got bored because of the members who ask for eta a lot and accusing him of detching his own rom development then he upgraded his mobile phone and moved along and leaved a reply in the rom thread that if he was able to fix problems in the rom he wouldnt do it because of those people who just think developers are machines they dont get sick they dont get tired they dont have real life and this is completely wrong they are not bound to update their roms or make another updated but they do it because they like to do it and for the sake of the legend (HD2) to get the most out of it

In other words, Sbryan was sick of douches like you (kslakhani) who just kept asking him to fix things and make the ROM work. You really don't appear to understand XDA at all, you probably shouldn't come on here too much.

First of all I hardly asked anybody to fix things.
I always appreciated their efforts and u know its up to them whether they wanna do it or not.

There's no real Sense 4 ROM for HD2 yet, but there is one for Desire. All we need is one man who would like to spend his time porting that **** to our device. Want it? Do it yourself or wait for someone else who wants it too and will do it for you.
