Whenever I turn my WIFI on, nothing ever happens... But if I turn it on and reboot my phone the WIFI ICON appears and seems to be working... What can be causing this?
This just started happening when I switched to the new Kernel GK-0.31
Thanks in advanced.
It looks like there is a bug with the new kernel package and users of 1.5 ROMS. If you're comfortable with this, here's what i would try:
Nandroid back up
Verify that you have a backup
Copy that backup to your computer.
Go back to the kernel thread and download the AOSP version of the kernel.
Flash it
See if your phone boots, runs as expected, and wifi works.
If the answer to any of those is no, restore your nandroid backup.

What does AOSP do? A user by the name ANDYRIOT had a cool looking DIALPAD... And I notice in his signature that it says AOSP 1.6 + Googlebits. Is that how he got his DIALPAD to look like that?

AOSP builds do not have any of the HTC sense or apps. I think that dial pad is the standard android dialer.

My phone is stuck at HTC screen and it doesn't move after the reboot... I did a backup and put it on my SD Card and verified it was there... But all it does is stall on the boot HTC screen..... Its been 5 min, still on that screen... I did a battery pull.... It is still stuck on the HTC screen...
So how do I fix the WIFI settings?
First we need to fix whatever is causing you not to be able to access the recovery image from your other thread. No use in trying anything else until you can reliably get back to where you started.

I am back 100%. I did a back up before I did anything. I was able to back it up... So back to square one.

Ok, I really screwed up my phone badly and I am hoping someone can help me out. Basically, my original goal was to change the Radio because it keeps making static noise when someone calls me or I call someone. Anyways, I tried changing it but when I went into the BootLoader (Tri color) screen and USBed it. The CustomRUU.exe still didn't recognize it. So I just gave up and was like I'll deal with the noise...
Now, I saw that tyween released a new patch. I plan on installing it like my normal plan was which was, Boot AD NAND, which launches into CWM and then I do back up, install zip , restore old stuff. Pretty simple.
ANYWAYS, the issue is, when I did it this time, some error about NAND file failed or something along those lines so what I did when I googled the solution was to install WMC 6.5 onto my computer which now recognized the MAGDLR device (phone) when I did the option USB Flasher. Once opening USB Flasher, I installed this (http://www.multiupload.com/LVJEZV8MZV) and it seemed everything works.
Problem is, when I boot with the Boot AD NAND, it boots with the new tyween but all my data that I had before was lost. I tried to see what the issue was, but when I go into Boot AD NAND, it loads the ROM; NOT CWM like it used to, instead CWM is booted under the option Boot AD SD card option. If I look at my micro SD card:

}
You can see that all my previous files are still there.
Basically, my issues are:
1) How do I get CWM to load when I select the Boot AD NAND?
2) How do I reverse everything and hopefully get my data back, I was hoping to have a backup from the clockwork recovery folder but my hopes aren't high, just hoping that my partition of the new ROM didn't over-write the old one which means I can delete it and hopefully still have my old stuff.
For those who read everything, thanks for doing so and I hope you can all help me =/

1.)CWM will not load under Boot AD NAND EVER!!
MAGLDR 1.3 had CWM built in under option 8. AD RECOVERY, you do not need it under BOOT AD SD.
2.)Unless you did a backup in CWM of your old ROM, there is no way to restore your data. If you did a backup, go into CWM, choose backup/restore, advanced restore, then choose and reboot after.
Edit5/Problem Solved: I'm shocked, it's Dalingrin's OC kernel for Froyo 1.2 that messed up the screenshots. Hmmm ... good thing I made a backup before installing Dal's kernel. It's the latest one that's causing the problem. Not a big deal, I can roll back to the previous state, but folks who use the screenshot feature should know.
I installed and nootered 1.2 (from a factory reset/wipe) in preparation for dual-boot, following the directions here on XDA, used Titanium to restore my apps, ran a backup in CWM, and everything in general is working great, but not screenshots.
My screenshots are coming out blue-green, like red is missing and they're at 8-bit color (see image below). It's very strange. When I was running 1.1.0, screenshots worked fine. I'm not using an app, I'm using the usual Home & Vol- combo.
Two things I'm considering is when I restored my apps with Titanium, I restored data, too. Could that be causing the problem? And, while setting up dual-boot, I messed up on installing CM7 and ended up having to restore my backup of stock from CWM. I didn't format the primary boot/system/data partitions before restoring from CWM. Maybe that could be why my screenshots are coming out wonky. Should I format the primary boot/system/data partitions in CWM and restore my stock 1.2 image again?
Thanks guys.

Edit: I installed the free app Screenshot from the Market and it takes screenshots perfectly. I'm leaning toward a changed or corrupted setting related to built-in screenshot capability, and it's probably related to my having restored over CM7 without having wiped the system/data partitions before my restore. I'll try formatting those in CWM and restore my backup, then update here on the results.
Edit2: I wiped system and data from CWM (on uSD, 3.0.2.8), restored my backup, issue persists. Rules out the possibility of some parts of CM7 remaining and causing a problem. Well, onto the next step.
Edit3: Restored to stock 1.0.0 (following 8 failed boots and data wipe), updated to 1.2, screenshots come out clean. Proceeding with manual nooter.
Edit4: Looks like problem solved. I'm thinking I hit the wrong thing in Titanium which corrupted the screenshot settings or some such. I'm pre-OC at the moment. Getting ready to make a CWM backup, then install Dal's OC kernel for 1.2.

Boot into the bootloader (hold power+volume down) then flash a stock WinMo ROM (make sure it's for your particular device i.e. TMOUS/EU). From here, you can do whatever you like really, it's probably best to start off with SD Android, trying out each different type of ROM (e.g. MIUI, CM9, Sense, AOSP etc.) and then move to NAND Android once you've made a selection. Note that NAND is much faster than SD, so if you feel sluggishness it might not be there on NAND.

should i update somethink or install any kernel
I'm unable to boot into recovery after flashing the [JB 4.2] - CleanROM 2.5 rom. The ROM has horrible performance issue and I'm unable to flash a different ROM now. I have try going to reocvery by press & hold volume up+down and power button to go into bootloader (which works) and when I go to recovery mode I get the following screen. I get the same screen when doing it with ADB (adb reboot recovery).
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
UPDATE: I also noticed that this ROM has changed my folder structure. All the folders used to be stored in /sdcard/ directory. Now it keeps moving ALL my folders into a /sdcard/0/ and android auto populates new folders. it did it twice and now my folder and files are located in /sdcard/0/0/. Any fix to this?

LMAO!
The stock recovery, yes. You need to use goomanager or rom manager to reinstall the custom recovery. At which time you should be able to put things back together.

The ROM did not change your file structure. It is the 4.2 update that does that. Doesn't matter stock or custom ROM you are gong to get the new file structure.
Clean ROM may have killed performance for you, but you have something else going on because Clean ROM is working great for many many users.
As for your growing 0 folders you need to update your recovery to stop that from happening.

Right, this is very weird...
I made a Nandroid backup (compressed) on TWRP for this first time, it completed successfully and then I powered off and turned the Nexus 4 back on. However to my surprise, I could not find the backup on my SD card. I checked everywhere (data/media...TWRP folder...etc). I even checked the entire phone (with root explorer enabled), nothing. However the backup was successful because my Available Space has fallen by roughly 1gb, the size of my backup. Does anyone know whats going on here?
Thanks in advance, really appreciate your support.

Hmm, unfortunately I don't get that. This is what I see.
Could it be because I am using a theme on my TWRP (the Holo one btw, which no one else has reported a problem on)...
Edit: Okay, I think I solved it...I went onto the root of the phone again this time, searched the data folder and was able to find Media -> Backups (see below). Why is that it appears here rather on the SD card data folder?

maybe because you compressed it? i dont compress mine.
Thanks for the help Simms, but after digging around on XDA forums, I found the cause and the solution (posted here):

There was a weird bug with TWRP that put the FIRST backup in /data/media/TWRP/backups (read: wrong). After rebooting the recovery, all future backups will go into /mnt/sdcard/TWRP/backups, which is where you want them.
Here's what I think happened:
1) Your first backup was stored in /data/media/TWRP which is not where TWRP looks for backups. So, TWRP showed no backups.
2) You ran a second backup which showed up correctly in TWRP, and was stored in /mnt/sdcard/TWRP/backups.
3) You renamed the most recent backup, and then checked /mnt/sdcard/TWRP/backups, and assumed the renaming actually moved the folder. I don't think it did.
