Hey guys. If somebody can download the Theme above (just search iDroid) from the Market and tell me why it won't work, that is great. I need to fix it and need help from someone with a Droid X. <3 you guys.
If you're trying to facilitate making their Droid anything like an iPhone then I'm not going to help.

Uhhhhhh yeah the theme isn't mine. I published it for someone and maintained it. But I can help if u need it. The problem was hdpi icons weren't scaled right. It has been fixed and I have a mother themer working on it right now.
Are you talking about the ADW iDroid theme? or the GDE one

My Road to Becoming a Great Developer
Intro
Hello I am Kifno. I have had my HTC Hero CDMA for a short period of time and I've fallen in love with it and everything about it. I love testing out other developer's apps, tweaks, mods, themes, roms, kernels, etc. I also have recently gotten into the modding and tweaking aspect of our hero's too. Some of you may know me from my tweaked build.prop's. But I have decided that I want to be known as a great developer for the HTC Hero CDMA. I am going to keep this thread as a journal during my journey to becoming a great developer, posting what I have learned, accomplished, created, modded, tweaked, etc. that is making me one step closer to reaching that goal. Hopefully during my journey you all will appreciate some of my work for our HTC hero CDMA devices.

I'm new to becoming a developer. My first piece of work is simple, editing the build.prop from other developer's roms. And I'm learning how to program and learn the c language and learning java so I can do bigger and better things for the HTC Hero CDMA. And as a matter of fact not only did I make a editing build.prop for aosp but aosp as of last 2 updates to his new gingerbread rom has implemented my editing build.prop into his gingerbread rom by default so I'm pretty sure aosp know's i'm editing the build.prop to make the hero better for the community. That is why aosp is keeping it implemented into his rom by default. Please be positive here I'm on a journey to become a great dev and all great dev's started small okay. Remember I'm NEW to becoming a dev.

No need to be negative guys. At least he's going out and working for it. That's a lot more than 90% of people here can say. Most are too lazy to learn and want others to do it for them. Really can't believe that on xda we have at least two guys who who would actually try and discourage someone from developing. I think you guys need to check yourselves. Pathetic.

Wow lets watch the negative.. Glad there are still people who want to progress the hero.. And he isn't taking claim of anyones rom he is editing the build.prop giving people some extra tweaks to make our phones quicker.. Kudos on your hard work kifno and there are some big shoes to fill around here and someone needs to do it.. I plan on trying but its hard to make time with life right now for me, so thank you for giving it a shot..

We aren't trying to be negative. Our point is that you haven't developed anything in reality. Just editing a properties in a file isn't developing, but it does take some knowledge to know what you are going to edit . Nonetheless, you are trying to become the greatest developer, but really you are in the 1st chapter of your C Programming book. It's going to take you maybe another 3 - 5 books to actually understand what's happening. Instead of striving to become the "Greatest" developer, why not focus on just becoming a developer at first

Please stop with the dumb comments against the devs. This is totally uncalled for and should stop now. I am someone who really enjoy's coming to this site. I come here to read, learn and always am looking for new fun things to flash.
IMO all the devs here are amazing and remember they do this all for free, They dont have to give us nothing but they give us amazing Roms, Kernels and Themes to make our phones better and allows us to customize it how we like. You are all entitled to an opinion but if you have nothing nice to say then you should'nt say it. Dont start crap because your Rom hasnt been updated in a few days, you know the devs are working on it and will release it after its been tested. I know i want something tested before i flash it and i would think you would also. So lets remember we all are here for the same reasons and i would like to make sure the devs know we appreciate them and all they do for us. I dont want devs to start getting pissed and say forget you all so lets try being nicer to them.
Sorry for this but this is just my opinion and i hope you all would agree with me.

Why, Why would anyone who is a member or user of XDA, bash on the Developers?? This is ASININE!! The developers here have made your devices so much better than they are stock. they spend countless hours fixing what the carrier and manufacturer screwed up in the first place and pawned off on us as GOOD STUFF Every time I have Questions or Issues with something it has been a developer who helped me, so in return they get all my support. Then I take what I already knew and what I learn here and apply it to helping other who are not at the level i am yet. So if this forum is dedicated to making things better for your devices and your understanding of those devices and its OS, which they MOST definitely ARE, why not show support and ask for help if something is going wrong or you don't understand, most of us are truly here to help. Instead of complaining and bashing do some research and find out how to help yourself, who knows, you might get so addicted to it you become a developer yourself.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Also, remember to not be frustrated when they can't instantly solve a problem. There is a reason that they make the roms, and you don't. Most people are busy.. maybe they have a job, family, and/or school. The fascinate really has talented people working on it. We are some of the lucky people that flash new toms and kernels without a locked bootloader.

Just curious, but where did you see anyone bashing a developer? The only bashing i have ever seen in the fascinate forum was of people who post things that are obviously not their own work. A lot of comm rom supporters used to have bad attitudes towards nitro for including tsm parts in his rom, but he has gotten rid of those now so there is no reason to be mad at him.

I think this thread was started in response to chronster's comments in your Crysis Revolution thread about Community ROM being broken and your theme not being made for other ROMs.

Well there has been people coming into the posts and complaining that this Rom or theme hasnt been updated. i mean i am all for the newest updates to any of the Roms, themes, launchers and anything you all do for us. So basically i was just trying to put it out there that anyone who is not contributing to any dev or mods should just be patient and in time all their ROMS, Themes, CWM and everything that you all do will get done. I was just getting tired of people demanding stuff, i mean come on if you want something bad enough and you can't wait then oh well learn to do it yourself. There are plenty of people waiting for Comrom v 2.0 and they will have to wait until it has been tested and released, when it is it will be awesome b/c these good people who have jobs and lives outside of this posts are willing to do amazing stuff in their free time. I know your Tw4 is going to be awesome and you do amazing work.
I just want everyone to be nice to you all as they should be showing their appreciation instead of sometimes being asses to some of the devs. I didnt enjoy my phone when i first got it and now i love it because of all that you all do... I just wanted you all to know it and i hoped everyone else agrees with me.

yeah it wasnt just chronster though....if you actually want to bang your head against the wall there are dozens of lousy comments in the com rom thread about "this rom is broken, why release this..blah blah"

Is it just me or do most of these ROM themes suck? I dont mean to offend the devs. There are some awesome ROMs but the design of the icons on the status bar and stuff just looks like ****. Is it just me? Been wanting to try out a ROM but its kinda ugly.

Yep, some of the themes do not have aesthetics!
Anyways, I don't understand the concept of locking a specific theme to a ROM...just hate that! I like the good old Galaxy 3/Galaxy S days, when a single theme could be applied to any ROM/Fw!
A lot of those themes look like they've been drenched in Photoshop Layer-Options. Looks horrible. Yay for MIUI, which looks awesome.
The best option for you guys is to make one yourself. When you get something for free, it is very easy to criticize.
Just try making a theme and you will know what it takes.

Well for me, mostly UOT-kitchen, and some skill with 7-zip actually
but that's cause i'm limiting myself to Frameworks/SystemUI for my personal theme.

My only issue is with the choice of your words. Your post is insulting. I am not referring to me, but to the entire fraternity of themers and devs here.
You may not like all the themes out here, but say it in a civilized way, that's all.
