Hi all,
HTC just issued ROM udate on 03 April 2007 for the P3600 (http://www.europe.htc.com/support/software/htcp3600.html), which was introduced the same time as P3300 (Q3/2006). So does this mean we can expect to see an update for P3300 soon? Hopefully this could be so.

What is a source of information?
HTC was expressed, that they wait for head quarters to give out new Artemis ROM, when I was asked them.
I think it's empty promise. Did you readthreat about corrupt sd card? They are telling us about new ROM since beginning of 2007.
I did a call with dangaard belgium technicals and they promised that there comes a wm6 rom update for most HTC devices end of this month.
Let's hope it's true. Maybe our devices will be usable at last.

Hello all, I've had my X1i for about a month now. I've noticed theres an updating application on the CD included with the X1 for my PC. Should I use this to update the firmware on the X1i? I remember reading some posts awhile back that updating it caused some X1s to brick. Is this problem still widely spread? Can I now use the update software safely?

i talked with sonyericsson technical support today and according to them, sonyericsson will soon release a new firmware to x1..
problably in about two weeks. cant wait

The easiest way is to find the thread in the ROM section with the NEW firmwares. There are instructions on how to install them just using your Memory Card which is quick and efficient.
So I found the thread...one question though...how do I know which one to install?

The answer to your question is posted all over the place, as well as the thread you found.
If you want to keep the Generic_UK rom (Not branded by any companies), you have to wait till it comes out.
Or even better, wait for the new firmware to get expertly cooked up in a lightning fast beast!

New FW already out?

I read some post under the ROM section about someone that tried the SE update service and already got the new FW.
I live in Sweden and have an unlocked X1i (Swedish). Used the update service. The program told me that I already got the latest FW, but I chose "install new FW anyway".
I had R1A before, but now I have R2AA.
Seems like the new FW is already out!
Yes the new firmware is out, R2A ROM version 1.03.936.6.
So have anyone tried it yet?
Would love to have some reports before proceeding.

i also used SE update software but according to SE my ROM is up to date.here is my rom details:
rom version:1.02.931.3
rom date:08.29.08
radio rom:1.06.25.29
xperia 1i windows mobile build is:
5.2.19608.1.2.60
and i got my phone MTN South Africa.and phone is sim unlock.i didnt see any carrier customization.my questions are
1)is it my rom up to date?
2)if i want use a rom which rom i must use?UK generic or what?

Haven't tried yet but someone said it will connect faster to the network than before.
I have a problem...
I only randomly receive SMS and Phone Calls....!
I tested and called myself several times...and 80% of the times .......it is ringing in my side...but nothing on the phone!!!!!!
I did hard reset...but no luck!
what is the cause?
Does anybody else has this problem?!?!?! how did you fix it...!?!?!?
Also please note that I can upgrade my rom because I have to have arabic support.because I receive some SMS in arabic format....and also if I try to update to newer rom that is not for middle east then I will have problem with warranty!

can you give me the link to the ROM ? and the page that contains the ROM features....? I want to be sure that they say it is fixed in the new Rom!!! because the ROMs that I found was only improved for opera, reset problem, etc.

there's an official Arabic ROM dated 2008.12.15; your ROM date is 2008.02.04, so you could give it a try. Since it's an official ROM you don't have to worry about warranty.
Btw, your call receiving problems can have lotsa causes, could be your operator, the area you're in, bad reception overall.....who can tell? what did you expect from the users of this forum? to give you an instant solution?
The only thing i can add is that i don't have the problems you mention, but i hope you can solve them.
You could also consider sending your phone in for warranty.

by the way...I found out why I had that problem...
It was because of stupid SPB MOBILE SHELL 3.0!!! now my problem is solved....!!!
also my battery usage is less now...!!!
with spb mobile shell I had to charge everyday...
but since yesterday my mobile phone with heavy usage just lost 40% of power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to update my rom now!!!

Hi all,
I've had my HD2 for just over two weeks, and have just checked the HTC website. It looks like there is a ROM update (Release Date: 2010-03-15) which is just after I got the phone.
In the instructions it says to check what ROM is on the phone you want to update, I had a look and it is the same ROM, (1.43.110.2(70315) WWE).
If this ROM was released on the 15th, how can it be on my phone already?

It's a delayed release for people to have a backup I think - you got a T-Mobile UK HD2?

yes I have a UK T-mobile handset.
I cant post links yet but on the UK section of the HTC site, it says that the latest T-mobile Rom is 1.43....

Basically T-Mobile/HTC made the original ROM available but there's no update officially as yet. You can install HSPL (see links in ROM Dev forum) and flash the standard HTC ROM but it will invalidate your warranty in that if you sent it to HTC for repair after doing so they'd know. Get the T-Mobile ROM from the HTC site as a backup and you can revert back if you need a repair done.
the thing I still dont understand is how can I have the same ROM on my phone that according to the HTC UK site, Release Date: 2010-03-15 even though I have had my phone for about 3 weeks prior to that?
As I said, all HTC have done is make it available to download - it's not new as 1.43 was the first ROM on the HD2 when it was released last year. I think people complained they couldn't get it from T-Mobile incase they had to re-flash their phone.

My Touch HD, sometimes stop working when new SMS comes, until the Soft Reset. Unfotunatly, I couldn't see the new SMS. ( I must ask the sender to send it again). Sometimes, recently sent and recived SMS are deleted after the soft reset.
I already inestalled the official Hot Fixes.
The Lock Code is activated.
The Wakeup On New SMS is also enabled.
Where is the bug? and how can I kill it? how can I recover the lost SMS?
